My 2004 Escalade Drivers side was stuck full hot when set at 60 degrees. Passenger and rear was blowing cold. If you cant control the actuators, try an actuator door recalibration for free before buying unnecessary parts. Recalibration Steps: 1. IGN on - do not start 2. Push AUTO on AC control 3. IGN OFF 4. Pull HVAC/ECAS CB in engine bay CB panel - reinstall after 1 min 5. Start Vehicle - AC control should default to 74 degree and in AUTO - Let run for 3-4 minutes while calibrating. DONT ADJUST ANY AC Controls in this process. 6. Ignition OFF for 10-30 Seconds 7. Start Vehicle - Test AC controls..... Hope this helps somebody!

I’ve had my 2002 Escalade 6.0L since 2004. I’m presently at 142K miles. Thankfully, the ignition switch is the ONLY one of these five problems I’ve had recently. It’s been a GREAT SUV and I just had it repainted and installing NEW seat covers. I pray I can keep it another 100K miles!

I've had my 2002 since it came off the lot. The engine is perfect. Only A few issues over the years Ill rank them worse to minor: 100-120kmiles, the Car turns off when turning left, very dangerous, the solution was to clean the throttle body. Transmission leak issue happened twice over the 250K miles. 100-120K Replace alternator. 130-145k Cluster failure. 240k Throttle body sensor failed Fuel Pump had an Issue, I never replaced it but somehow hitting the gas tank with a bat solved the issue for good. This car has been across the country multiple times, from niagra falls to rosarito mexico. I have pushed it hard, even taken it off roading. I always maintained the oil and coolant. I expect it will do 500k miles, She runs like the day it came off the lot.

I bought my neighbor's 2005 EXT a few weeks ago. 177K for $7,500. Rides great and everything works so far! *knock on wood* I know in the previous three years he replaced the mass air flow sensor, the front impact sensor, the level ride air compressor, inner tie rod arms, idler arms, pitman arms, oil sending unit, right outer CV boot, alternator and battery, and exhaust manifold gaskets. It was a long list for 3 years...

2004 = Instrument cluster, rear window motor, hubby being snuggy and warm on driver's side while I freeze on the passenger side. Ran it low on gas one day and the engine light came on. Took it for testing and it was just the gas cap wasn't tight enough. (It's still an Escalade so it's worth it.) After the junky Nissan Xterra, breaking all the time and leaving us on the side of the road umpteen times, it is like driving in a brand new Tesla vehicle. (to my family anyway.)

My son bought an 06 EXT. And he is very rough on it. Takes it out mudding all of the time. Paid $7500. But it is time for tie rods pitman and idler arm. Upper and lower control arm bushings and what not. But so far no other issues. He says he loves his truck. Wants to lift it. And will replace anything he needs to keep it going. Oh yea we did replace the waterpump the first week he had it. But thats it so far.

Have a 03. The entire transmission gave out, I remember my dad having to take off the entire front end and replace it, it broke down at a winn Dixie, and you have to slam the driver side rear door, for it to shut good. The battery dies if you don’t use it (randomly),It has service airbag stability, and service stability messages, several gauges broke, had to be fixed, the lock on the same door I talked about is broke, it has a Chevy ignition, and currently sits in my back yard, driver side tires flat, and oil pressure gauge broken, with the battery, dead again.

I've sent off the parts and had them rebuilt and now my calipers are locking up on my rotors almost catching on fire.

First ten years only drove on weekends while I put miles on my 2004 Corolla (has 235k and still rolling). I stay on top of maintenance and repair/replace before it's needed. 💥 My three problems, 1- the seat heater on drivers side clicks on then 2 seconds later turns off. 2- I get AC to blow out of the center and third row but not heat. 3- my from differential is making a humming noise that increases with speed. 138,000 miles on an ‘03. I know the first two are quite common but where not mentioned.

That’s actually not as bad as many and I mean many vehicles lol. I mean you didn’t even include a single problem about the engine in the top5 which is a tremendous sign of a good vehicle. Bad water pumps, Electrical work, transmission blowing out easy is something I would consider problems.

As I found out top problem can be ground wire issue. If you don't systematically clean ground wires you may end up with transmission that slips and then fails. Look up for the solution on youtube how to clean those wires and save the transmission. I was on my 3rd tranny when I found out about the problem. I was gonna get rid of my Escalade but since I have diagnosed the problem I'm a keeper. Don't believe those who tell you that the escalades have bad transmissions.

Wondering gnif anybody is reading this maybe same issue im having. First off I bought this 02 escalade from junkyard. It was lien sale vehicle in ca. The original owner was a crack head. Reversed everything I could see a Crack head did. Here's my problem after 3 used clusters all doing the same thing I put one in I knew was good. I get three lights on the dash (wheels sensor pig tail lifht, check engine and left blinker) Nothing else no gauges resetting for upon turning key on nothing. When on a bumpy road the lights of cluster that are lit flicker! when they flicker if I rev engine they stop flickering and get brighter. I've been all over this truck like a tweeker trying to find that bag of dope he lost.o did find that several times. Any body any Info is appreciated. I just don't Have the cash to take it in To the highway robbery dealer.
