A family count down 2023 trip to nearby Desaru, Malaysia just 1.5 hrs drive away! Also a holiday to wrap 2022 and ending the year end school holiday!
Everyone had full 3 days of packed fun!
We visited places such as
- Fruit Farm : Riding ATV, Farm Tour and having fresh fruits!
- Adventure Waterpark : huge waterpark and a full day of thrilling rides!
- Lobster Town : Visited Yard & Co Cafe just by the sea!
- Super Lobster Village : A exotic location for seafood!
- Tanjung Balau : Wide Beach with activites eg horse riding, ATV, picnic, etc!
We end the holiday with a Count Down 2023 at Hardrock Hotel Desaru with live band thru the night and fireworks display!

What we asked the resort staffs, they say Desaru doesn't rain as much. But better to check online weather forecast to be safe.

Definitely most convenient staying in Hard Rock in Desaru. Hard Rock has shops, restaurants, bistro and cafe within. Entrance to Adventure park can be bought online or as a hotel package. Checkout Hard Rock website for the hotel stay packages.

The fruit farm is about less than 10min drive away which is nearer to the Desaru toll highway. The activities are booked from the farm itself with packages to choose from. It's worth visiting the fruit farm.

Lobster is best at Lobster Town, which is southern area of Desaru about 30min drive from Hard Rock Resort. There are several restaurants to choose from. You can Google to find out more of these restaurants like super lobster or Jade Garden seafood. The other we went is the Lobster Village, which is at the rural location.

Good video to know the experience, but the camera moving too fast (maybe play speed to fast when editing the video?) A bit dizzying.

how do u travel around desaru? I read online that there's no grab services

If u stay at hardrock, they have pick up scheduled bus services to several places around Desaru. I drive there, thus was convenient to roam around.

@tctterry we did not see any grab cars at the hotel pick up lobby. So assuming there isn't when we we're there.

I would go to desaru fruit farm's shop to get local delights.
