The product should have a label to show what the expiry is after opening its normally on the back of the product. It will be like 3M, 6M, 9M, 12M or 24M generally varying between products. Otherwise you can check with brand itself

I have a question: in this video you say that we should use the salicylic acid serum 2 times a week only, but in another one, you say that everyday or even twice a day is appropriate. Which way is the correct one? Also, if I’d like to incorporate salicylic acid serum and glycolic acid, both from ordinary, in my routine, is it possible? And how often should I use each of them? Thank you for your answer 🥰🙏

Which video are you referring to? If it’s a salicylic acid cleanser you can use it daily, but an exfoliating serum doesn’t need to be used daily. If you want to use both glycolic and salicylic acid serums - alternate between them - not at the same time. :)

Thank you! I meant the salicylic acid serum 2%. Is 3x per week appropriate, if I wanna incorporate glycolic acid as well? Also I have another question. I bought retinol 1% from ordinary, but I’ve never used retinol before. Should I try anyway with the 1% or should I buy a different one with a lower percentage? Sorry to bother you and thank you for your help! 🙏🥰

@@Zosik2000 So with the salicylic acid serum 2% video I state to use 2 x a week as well. I would stick with what you have bought since you've already bought the products. I would stick to the routine I provided in this video. Exfoliant would still only be used 2 x per week. If you want to use both glycolic acid + salicylic acid, alternate between them. So on your exfoliating night, use salicylic acid. Then on your next exfoliating night use glycolic acid. Does that make sense?

@@SkinZoneTV alright! So let’s say one week I use 2x a week salicylic acid, and the next week, I use 2x a week glycolic! You meant it like that right? Thank you! And retinol 1% I should start once a week for beginners?

  • @SkinZoneTV

@@Zosik2000 Sure you can do that or you can use salicylic acid 1 x a week and glycolic acid 1 x a week ( so still a total of 2x exfoliation during the week) it's up to you :) For retinol yeah introduce slowly 1-2 x per week (on seperate nights to exfoliation) see how you go. You will most likely experience purging since you are adding in all these exfoliating ingredients. Don't forget to wear spf in the morning!

But i listened somewhere that we should not use foaming face wash on oily skin!!

Why? Cleansers are by preference but for oily skin types often you will prefer a gel or foam cleanser. Rather than a milk or cream cleanser. You just want to avoid foam cleansers with SLS as it’s stripping to the skin barrier.
