I'm mcom pass I can say it's useless but the fact is it's useless in India as In corporate world MBA prefers over Mcom but somebody gets a time to think mcom subject and MBA subjects how much different i must say diffence is minimum but mcom lost its charm as it's degree is no validition in other countries as MBA is acceptable in all countries but if you Do Ca , or Ugc net then these courses are helpful and about arts and culture the college nearby to my home one guy who stays nearby me he made sclupture and creative arts and the avg monthly income sometimes 300K to 400k so it's unbelievable and with ease in such young age he is inspiration to many so he just have Bfa degree not even masters i actually feels proud he thinks out of the box and now he is successful breaking the odds in our society ..so nothing is useless have education is enough

I am doing Masters in Science in Data Science from CU Boulder. Yes it's online on Coursera and may have problem with AIU in equivalence as it is delivered in online format even though it is recognised by Higher Learning Commission (one of 6 regional accreditation in US) but the content I am learning there is updated and top notch. From the first day we were taught in R, Python, and SQL. We are taught different python libraries and even Stats/AI techniques across different languages. In India and even in US some are even using Matlab or even C for Data Science as far as algorithms/DS is concerned. And we also have projects which we can use for our resume/portfolio. Overall, in India most of the IT courses don't have updated syllabus which is a bad thing. But if you tell me that if the Masters in itself is useless than you are dead wrong. Problem is not the masters but the colleges in India. So, even though AIU will cry over my degree I am happy to learn and get skills by learning from a college which is giving updated learning and is in top 150/100 rankings for most of the rankings.

No degree promises u to get job..it never did!! It has become our mindset that getting a undergrad degree at any popular field or from reknowned college will get us good job. Getting a job is purely based on skills and experience in the real world, at this time companies hire mostly the students who are skillfull, asset to them who can help to grow the revenue of their companies, brands. If you are determined to do something then no degrees can stop u from achieving it. India is growing massively as entrepreneurs and I believe in coming years indian parents will focus more on building a entrepreneurs from their family by breaking the stigma of becoming a enginneer, doctor or getting govt jobs to relax.

I am pursuing BCA and my brother is also BCA and MCA he had got campus placement in Asian paints. At the end SKILLS are important than any degree.

Agreed. Freshers want huge salaries here but they have to understand that they're freshers they'll get minimum salary (unless you're from famous colleges like IITs, IIMs). But that experience will count tho

Knowledge and skills matters a lot recently one student did his BBA from Chandigarh University after passing out he got job in a very reputed company with pakage of 35 lakh per annum them i realise skills highly matter.

I am doing BMLT ( BSc Medical labetory technology) from a good govt. medical college . I thought that it is a job giving course but when i see my seniors they are woried about salary . the privet labs are giving only 10,000 to 15,000 salary . so I am thinking to do side hustle to learn some skill or starting my own business .

URGENT please reply ! I have done BscIT from Mumbai University, As per UGC guidelines MCA is now 2 yrs degree for both IT and Not IT(with bridge course) background students . Now I am about to get admission for MCA regular degree from a private university through a consultancy but problem is that they are providing MCA as 3 yrs with lateral entry in 2nd yr ..and I told them about UGC guidelines but they told me that every universities has their own acts whether they follow UGC norms or not . Currently if I do MCA from normal regular colleges then I will get marksheets of sem 1,2,3,4 but in that case I will be getting marksheets of sem 3,4,5,6 ..So should i do MCA from this college...Or should i go for MscIT from this college or should I do online MCA from universities like Jain ,manipal.

In my society things are different... People with msc degree are sitting around.. I did BTech and got into PSU (Indian Railways) 11 lpa inhand... Rest of my friends did MBBS 5-6 lpa inhand... All depends on the person itself..

U cannot say master degree is a waste. Every degree has its own value in its own field. MCom graduates not only join teaching, they also work at banks, MNCs and in other CA firms too. Opportunities are always available. It is the skill of an individual that matters

Please don't spread wrong information .. you are demotivating young youths from doing further studies .... Doing master is important in life guys ☺️ .. .. For example many post will be out with Minimum qualification like Master And for doing PhD by anymeans you have to do Master first 🥇 The more degree the better , it's not about getting job . He's not spreading misinformation. To do what you love ... One should be able to take the responsibility of expenses too. And that's the basic reason for all the grinding we do since childhood.

Syllabus of civil engineering is very much old ..... It is as it is since past 40 years ( very few changes around 15% )

In my opinion no degree is useless! Education never goes waste...with every single step you learn , develop and progress in life! Do what you want to and have that determination and hunger to succeed in life ..

In short degrees are only worth it when you do it from a prestigious college Du, jnu, bhu, jamia, madras University, that's it.

Bhai apne parents , seniors, teachers/professor se pucho . Iske btaye bato ka na to koi source hai aur jo source hai v to wo hai is bewkoof ka cousin, online search bas .

Best digree is your passion and skill. Jis field me aap apne aap ko achha maante hai ushme aap poori mehnat karo, digree liye bahot logo baithe hai.

So wrong.. It can.. Right degree in right field with right passion helps you get many jobs.. I am working professional and I have analysed this from many angles.. Before studying anything, find your passion but problem is everybody is in so much hurry that they don't find any academic passion and fail to enjoy something that other choose for them.. Result : no satisfaction, means half hearted work, means less problem solving aptitude, means less pay..

It's not degree problem, but career counseling is main problem, foreign country states always pursue their any degree but we started to limited ourself because we do not continue to explore things that's why we have less exposure
