I think it comes from the amount if people playing, cos even though there are car races, it’s obviously not its focus. The physics are ass and the drivers not much better. But steam doesn’t know if your doing heists or races so it just throws all the players into one category, pushing it so high up.

You know its bad when the 1st game on the top 5 racing games list is not a racing game 😂

Fun part about BeamNG is it's connection to Automation, you can design your own vehicles and stuff in Automation, then take them over to BeamNG to drive or crash, so good.

A little note to say to AC. You can add mods etc to give a controller the same ish sense of ffb and such, and similar levels of countersteering which makes AC kinda fun on a controller

Panthaa, I need to thank you for recommending Assetto Corsa. I was debating whether I should try to get into sim racing and this was clearly the best decision that I have ever made. This game is just too fun and every single car has it's own thing. the most unique car that I tried was LaFerrari by far the most slippery car when you are flooring it's take off.

You honestly had me when you said midnightclub lol I was about to scream and go buy the game off steam...good one miss that game so much

Theo, you definitely need to try SnowRunner, it’s so relaxing to play (if you’re into relaxing gameplay) love towing certain things to certain places & the maps are amazing!!!

There needs to be more racing games with soft body physics on the cars.

I genuinely think the Crew Motorfest will be one of the best experiences this year in the racing scene. Im currently playing the closed beta and.. oh man. The driving physics and suspension have been completely overhauled. There's actual weight transfer and each car feels different to drive. All of the races I have access to are with loaned vehicles but its still a good time. They added new vehicles like the NSX as well as the Bronco.

Using your controller's gyro as a steering wheel in Assetto Corsa is also impressive

I feel like this video and the games in it really show where modern car games should be right now and how they should be giving back. All of these games are OLD, and yet they all somehow offer much more than what were receiving today. I mean, assetto corsa and GTAV for bloody sakes - assetto you have countless possibilities, it has an unreal modding community that's kept it alive for this long, and GTAV at one point might not have even been considered a racing or car game, and they've gone out of their way to add more customization we get in most racing games these days. The main reason I find myself on GTAV is to play heists and buy cars, it has amazing replay value. - Honestly, for racing games struggling these days, what is there not to learn? Also, I feel like it's time for midnight club to officially come back.

I bought steering wheel set from my cousin for ETS2. As it's great game and I really enjoy it, it's good driving simulator and you encounter interesting situations where you have to get your whole truck from. However it can get quite boring as you got to follow speed limits and stuff and I was looking for some decent open world racing game. As I got GTAV I was looking for some game for steering wheel and asseto corsa looks like good pick. Thanks for this video, you helped me decide between 3 games I couldn't decide to choose from but thanks to you I made my mind. Helped a lot and keep up good content

Honestly surprised CarX wasn't on the list but I guess they have a bigger chunk in the mobile segment

BeamNG already did that since 2013. The weight also reduces as fuel drops. You can see all this in real time.

the problem with gta being a racing game is that theres maybe one active racing lobby if youre lucky and most people leave the race the moment they start losing or the game gets softlocked in the loading between races

Snow runner is my favorite game of all time and I've played over a 1000hrs of it between ps4 and ps5 alittle hard to get used to with the steering and camera

I feel like I just got a harpoon go through my brain hearing GTA V at number 1.

Beamng is not really just about crashing, but simulating a whole vehicle realistically

and there is no limit on what to do. There is literally planes, boats, flying cars, rocket busses and so much more. That's why i have 1000+ hours on it (without multiplayer counted in)

GTA stunt races and 99% impossible parkour races are some of the most fun I've had but I just love gta

Assetto Corsa is perfectly playable on a controller, it takes a bit of time to build your controller profile and if you are going to use FFB scripts etc but more than playable.

Surprised you havent delved into Snowrunner before. Honestly such a satisfying game to play, one of my favs with so many hours to my name. Even better with co-op as well. Granted I have it on Epic because when it came out it was only on Epic. Probably my fav on the list

Gta is definitely popular in racing, last night I joined a South American racing crew and we had a 18 man 9 vs 9 racing match against another crew

Gran turismo 7. Assets corsa might pick up next Forza motorsport if i like what i am seeing on the showcase, looking forward to see more on test drive solar crown. Gt7 is the game that I play the miost last update really improved things

there are configs that make a controler good on ac but the settings are to be made in the ini files outside content maneger

Perfect racing game would be asseto corsa graphics and physics + beam ng damage modeling. Boom - instant hit. Although this would need a hefty PC to run for all the accurate physics and damage

ok, if you are serious about racing, the real list is: iracing asseto corsa competizione asseto corsa and a for a more flexible approach gran turismo 7 with vr ( one of the best experiences in racing you can have) f1 2023, this game improved A LOT from last year
