I think he finds the media love in a bit annoying more so than ange himself. I’m the same tbh. Ange seems like a solid bloke, nothing annoying about him, but the way the media go on about him is excruciating at times. Especially because you know the media act like this all the time, build someone up and then when the pressure mounts and chips are down they move in for the kill

I think the reason people don't like him isn't necessarily his fault - but rather the pundits/media. They treat him like the second coming of Christ and some people don't like seeing someone who's 5th being treated like God (just to clarify I think he seems like a more than decent manager, seems like a nice bloke, but I do think some of the loving he gets by pundits is a little over the top)

1. Wilder - Look at his press conferences and you'll know he's a type of manager players and fans wouldn't like to back. 2. Ten Hag - "we deserved to win" when man united never really did in almost every press conference 3. Klopp - Legendary manager, but back then, his press conference was really nice, but nowadays he whines a lot. 4. Guardiola - Another legendary manager (top 3 of all time most def), but his sarcasm is a bit too much. 5. Arteta - 2 years ago, he would have been 1, but now he's created a pretty formidable team, but his past complaining and even present complaining still leaves a sour taste

I remember when holding was sent off against spurs and he was like to the ref why ruin the beautiful game even though it was clearly a second booking. However, nowadays, he probably learned the media just amplifies everything they can get their hands on so he shows little to no reaction when possible

It’s not in consideration for this season, but Conte’s press conferences were SO grating. Like gravelly Uhhs every 5secs like dragging broken glass over sandpaper.
