This game has so much potential but pay to win ruined it completely,all good mechs and weapons can only be bought or u can have them by being in top3 in leaderboard which is not possible for avg gamers, greedy devs destroying another game

In beta, guardian was definitely top 3 best mechs in the game but with how the meta has changed since he's just an ok mech now. I would have put him in honorable mentions

I would argue that Gaurdian is the best counter to Panther, and thus deserves the top 5 spot. Like Panther, Gaurdian's ability allows him to do things no other mech can.

@@RuFFlesGaming yea but.. I know you, you have the range implant that's why. Its very rare that players ever get within 29 meters unless they're in a surge or killshot becuase of all the range implants available for even "close quarters" weapons and even when you crash they're back in as short as 3 seconds. I love guardian and I love the concept behind the mech as well as the design, he's always been in my hanger but I wish he could be better instead of only being good in very specific, almost neiche scenarios.

Agreed on all points 👌 I'll just add: Guardian's energy isn't the only reason players choose him. The ability allows him to be an effective counter to literally every mech, without being particularly effective against any, making him a sort of jack-of-all-trades. I think for that reason, unless the ability gets nerfed or a better "everything counter" is introduced, Guardian will stay on the lower end of the top 5 basically forever.

thats potentially true. However, I do think 32 energy is a big key. Right now, most want to run 2 32 energy mechs. Aside from Panther, Guardian and Paragon tend to be the better choices; paragon for his speed (specifically with mortars) and Guardian for his ability. Guardians ability is a bit of a catch all and can be clutch in certain situations, but i bet if another 32 mech came along with good speed and a decent ability or Redox got buffed with speed similar to Panther, you would see more trade out the Guardian. Speed to deal with mortars is a big factor, but not quite enough in the case of paragon to sacrifice HP and a more viable ability. Maybe we will see someday if they add more 32 energy mechs.

To me Orion is really the best. His ability is technically infinite. It can go from mech to mech, and even if it goes to another mech once, the ability is already recharged when u already kill the second mech

Amazing video as always❤And yeah, surge is very good I feel like it’s too good after that buff. It’s the best mech in my opinion, it’s also very sneaky after they changed the storm dash. It’s basically like getting away with destroying a big piece of metal😂

this list, i couldnt agree more with. I like the honourable mentions for orion and tengu (two of my fav mechs) i have surge, tengu, stalker, orion and panther in my mech bay. Great list!

As long as the indicator is working, it's not that bad. I've outmaneuvered RM players with jugg a few times. Just have to conserve your sprint and use cover

@@LiShuBen Yes, but there are many maps where having to move out of cover is a death sentance, or times where the indicator just doesn't work, or even when your teammates get in the way and don't let you move out of the way in time.

Guardian has late game potential in 1v1 matchups vs Panthers vs anything really. But you gotta go kill all the mortars first

Coincidently I own ALL the mechs you mentioned in this video. However I would move guardian to 5th place or so because with the EM Rifles introduced, there will be more snipers using them which will be bad news for guardian, but I guess 4th place is fine. Also I bought Tengu and Surge 2 days ago, both at 3 stars and those mechs were INSANE! With Tengu I added a shot 8, when I find a enemy I just jump out and smash the enemy, since it slows enemies down I can run around the enemy while firing my shot 8 to make sure It doesn't shoot me. Surge is even better, I did dual Arc 6's and he was INSANE!! At 3 star he was putting up with the 4 star mechs pretty well, just being able to stun enemies and the speed to get to cover is just insane!

Bro, you do a great job help everyone who plays mech area understand what it takes to win or get better in this game and for me thank you bro!!!

For me, guardian is always the best mech in the game. The HP and speed are less than desirable, but nothing beats system crash. As for Orion I see it more and more so it might be that people are sleeping on it but not for long I think.

this list is pretty accurate, but I would include shadow in the honorable mentions. i've been running him with dual em rifle 6s and it's been working extremely well for me

I run the same setup with my Shadow but I don’t think the mech is honorable mention worthy. It’s really fun, but Shadow is just lacking the stats to compete. His health is such that a few hits of DL/ Mortar splash damage will kill him, snipers tend to 1 shot him, etc. Sniping is the only role that Shadow really excels at, at which point he’s maybe 4th or 5th best at it. I really like Shadow, but I don’t think he’s even close to meta.

that's fair, but if you're getting in trouble with discs you might have an issue with how much time you're spending in the open to be targeted or at a standstill for too long. mortars should never be an issue unless an ai teammate gets in your way, which doesn't happen if you're spending most of your time at the back of the map. not calling you bad at the game for any of this, but i guess it's one of those setups that take time to master and ill gladly retract my statement in that case

Yea I actually thought about adding both shadow and lancer into the honorable mentions with a single em16. I see it as viable for sure, but still not commonly run yet. I’m betting we will see it a bit more as EMs hit more of the field.

You were just stating your opinion. Everyone is free to have whatever opinion they want. It's really good that you mentioned all the meta mechs. Today I was matched up with a player who was the 91th place on the leaderboards. but he was having the same killshot and dual jav6s with him.its unbelievable that with just what I have,he has gone to the top 100th in the leaderboard.

Hey Scape! Enjoyed the video, but I'm gonna have to disagree with your top 5. I don't believe that Guardian should have a spot, due to the fact it's ability is very close range (relatively) and that often it won't work due to latency. Mine would look something like: 1: Stalker (Same reasons you said, HP Regen, lots of HP, very quick etc.) 2: Orion (I believe you may have undersold how many people actually use this thing and how over-powered it actually is. I've fought them with a gross array of weapons such as Mortars, EM rifles, and arc Torrents. It enables you to kill your target every time, regardless of what you have on it. And, with the ability being so user-friendly it's hard to deny that it's very, very strong.) 3: Surge (Same reasons as you.) 4: Panther (This one is also great because you can unlock it early, and upgrade it gradually as you play, just like Killshot.) 5: Aegis (I may be a bit biased on this one, but if we look at the raw stats, it's apparent it's probably underused. Maximum HP available in game, panther movement speed, and an unbreakable anti-mortar shield. As the only "viable" tank endgame it's kind of surprising it isn't used more!) Even if I disagreed with some of your calls, enjoyed the video none the less. Cheers!

Fair points to disagree on and tbh, its hard to sit on a top 5 for anyone and it likely changes regularly with the meta and what mode or whatever you are playing. I largely went with a mix of my stuff and what I got for feedback from top players. I did mention Orion in honorables and depending on what happens with Aegis for balancing like they mentioned in the Dev vlog, he may see a lot more play. Since the game is largely about peek and shoot now with stuff like EMs, grabbing beacons is tough and Aegis is one of the few with the time window to actually nail down spots. Cant be under sold imo. And as you said, its hard to deny juggy HP with panther speed. I need to work on mine more!

I'm only 3000Sp but this is what I use Oh the left end, I have shadow with EM rifle, he's there for open maps to catch sniper's and mortars, as well as being one of the most elusive sniper on the field that can't be targeted by any bots, I normally replace him with guardian on closed maps Right next to him I have the panther currently running dual RM12, I arc 10 on it in close range map, but the reason I have the mortars on panther us because I could drop the barrier and have the enemy bots stop and fire at me, which makes it easy for me to get all the bots in one shot cause the group up and fire My third mech is the are with disc launchers, it's an all rounder, closed and open maps, possible one of the best mechs to use the discs on Then it's killshot, he's mostly my backup assassin Incase the shadow fails, which doesn't happen too often, so I run him with MR8, does really high damage and moves super fast, his only weakness are the zypher bots with dual longarms And the last mech is zypher with shotgun 8, he rule the closed up maps, on open maps I'd normally replace him with the juggernaut running Gauss 10, I'm planning to get the carbines for him, and I'll run it with Neymar cause he'll give juggernaut the much needed speed

Based on my own experience I was surprised Aries wasn't in the top 5 or Honorable Mentions. I drop him third after Killshot and Pantyer usually. He takes a licking while giving out tons of damage. I don't use Zephyr much lately. And I rarely7se Guardian as he seems sqishy.

That doesn't work. One thing I know is you play according to your timezone, if you play at midnight you will face mostly bots. Don't ever play on 4 hours end if you are not strong. Cause all the strong player are log in in the last 4-2 hours.

I tried getting tengu, but to no avail, I even tried to purchase it ,but didn't work with my google account for purchase . Do you know when it is coming on progress path for purchasing. I would really like to know.

It’s not. They aren’t adding anything to the progress path anymore. They are however working on another delivery system for those who used to get stuff on the progress path. It’s just been taking super long to develop.

What do you think about Ares ? Yes he's slow and doesn't have 32 energy, but 24 is enough to put some powerful weapons on it and he also has a lot of Hp. Do you think he deserves to be in honorable mention?

I like Ares and used to run him more. I still see him in the meta, but not as much. Hes honestly a good mech, but doesn't have anything that puts him over the top imo. Still great in the right hands though.

Redeemer with burst dmg is amazing and super effective but you need to be aware of your surrounding.

Honestly I main 2v2 and Zephyr is goated. I've not upgraded in a while but it still serves extremely well

I wonder how would an updated version of this video be like, since we did get a lot of stuff these past few months. Surge prob stays Top 1, while Panther might be in the top 5 (through guardian is probably replaced by something else). Not sure if Killshot gets to stay, either, but its odds look far better than Guardian's.

Surge, eclipse, and panther are there for sure. Bastion might be next, but after that it kinda splits (which is probably a good thing). Guardian and killshot might hang on, but they likely compete with onyx and gatecrasher. And brickhouse has made somewhat of a comeback to replace stalker for some depending on the build you use. Redeemer might still hold a spot too, but after his “nerf” I see him a lot less. For me, the top 3 feel clear. The rest are less so

I use MD with friends, if it was cheaper to rank up I bet a lot of people would be using it

My order of mechs : 1st stalker : because it's a tanky mech with the health same as ares and a really strong Armor and the ability almost makes unkillable , unless 2 or 3 people latch on to 1 stalker 2nd surge:very fast good for cpc good for 2v2 good for 5v5 quite a all rounder and has a speed exact same as killshot 3rd gaurdian: guardian is 3rd because of his speed which makes him alot vunerable than you think but he has a high tier energy capacity meaning you can mount every weapon and it has a bunch of health and a good Armor 4th redeemer: he can dodge every weapon has mid tier energy capacity best for 2v2 good for 5v5 and cpc and not to mention it can dodge mortars 5th (tie killshot and Panther): killshot has mid tier capacity ,is available early game (placeholder for surge) and it's ability makes him alot fast to capture beacons Panther: great crowd control and is available early game and just good as end game and it's a quick attacker mech and most people choose panther to try their 12 and 16 weapon .that's my list

Pretty good list...... but for me Cheetah will always be number one, I love his play style. King of the multi-kills! 😂

Ikr? The cheetah is my top mech most of the time and for good reason. Those mines are deadly. I'm mainly a firesupport player, so I've got him loaded with javies And use those mines to hold key spots. I seriously love my cheetah lol

Surge was so bad at the time I purchased it when it was released but now I am replacing it with killshot but not entirely though because my killshot is heavily upgraded and I don't have other powerful mech to replace him, so I am using to scout mechs. But to answer ur question, all light mechs when maxed out, are the best otherwise support mechs are outshine. Though I wouldn't call surge the best as it feels op only because of bots otherwise against real players it's still okayish and easy to counter

the guardian is usually with rocket mortars.other 50% are spider mech haha.

Right now Aegis is my top mech, Love it to bits, he's a great ambusher. Go in a corner, start shields with high damage weapons and duke it out!

I think panther is the best because I hide and see a mech in range of my barrier I place it down and they are pretty much frozen then I come out and kill them with arc torrents or missle racks

I use Orion with longarm 10 because I didn't spend single rupee or peni in game and I am killing every one . What a good sniper does is what a sniper's job . Some time in tournament I change with Arc tourent and rock-n-roll

Can you make an updated version for after the rebalance?

So basically. 1) Panther for it's great crowd control and decent speed 2)Surge, that replaced Zephyr (high mobility crowd control is an amazing thing) 3) Killshot, for his high speed and outstanding damage 4)Guardian for being an utility mech 5) 3 out of 5 new comers. That means Hidezo, Stalker and Loki (Yes I will stick to their first names when they were introduced). Hidezo is a smaller version of Killshot, BUT with higher mobility and slightly more diversed playstyle (last time I checked Killshot needs to go around the wall and can't get on the roofs). Loki is actually a great support who can easily pick of some targets like scouts and Stalker is a decent well rounder that can hold a beacon sometimes way longer than tanks unles he gets nuked. The reason why Aegis is not here, is because he puts a wall that often messes up with teammates. However the situation can change after clans will be avaliabe. I am pretty sure most of clans who can, will sit in discord, and I guess you do realise how Meh stuff turns into something scary with communication. And last not least is a Reedemer. Rare specimen. Haven't got him yet, for me he looks strange, and I either need to face one, team up with one, or own one to say something about it. Honorable mantions are Tanks, each and one of tehm, Cheetah, and of course Zephyr This is a lot information, but whoever read all this, thank you for you attention. I appreciated that.

right now, you cant reliably get them. They will either come up for money offers or in various crate rushes/events. Some paid, some heavy acoin investments. They will not be adding anything else to the progress path, but have said they plan to add a new system in to replace it. Just taking a loooong time to add with nothing inbetween.

I am going to build this late game hanger, please advice on this composition. You can’t earn rewards from customs but if you que at the same time as your friend in those game modes, you might run into them. Using voice comms is usually the best way to time your drops.

You don’t have to have the blueprints. If you try to upgrade without enough blueprints or credits, it will substitute acoins. Generally you should always have the credits you need for an upgrade as the transfer rate of acoins per credit for upgrades is terrible. However, using acoins in place of blueprints is sometimes necessary. Especially for epic and legendary items.

I got surge so i wouldnt have to level killshot, still at 2*, So glad Surge got his buffs lol

Hey man great video! Quick question, I’m a newer player. Just made it to Division 1 and got 11,345 score so I’m a noob. Only got 450/708 wins so wanted to know what you thought of Gatecrasher and Ares? I’m already running Panther, Guardian and Surge. Gatecraher with Jav 8’s seems to be working for me on open maps cuz I can flush them from cover and send Javs in. Ares got pulse cannons for suppressing fire and I like the quick reload. Someone told me he’s a trash bot tho? What should I replace him with? I have a zephyr but it’s only 2 star. Anyway Guardian has missile racks. Panther has freeze lasers and Surge has arc torrents. Yea thanks for the comment! Ares and gatecrasher aren’t bad. They aren’t considered top tier mechs, but can work in various situations and Ares is still a viable tank for many especially those who are f2p. Based on where you are now, Gatecrasher is certainly viable and overall a decent mech. However towards end game, you likely only need a couple attacker mechs (32 energy) and panther or guardian tend to be the best options. If you do want a tank though, Ares can stick around. Your builds also sound good for now. I would just recommend not investing into the stasis (freezing lasers) on panther. They are ok for for a time, but usually won’t have enough damage out put for the exposure. I would recommend looking into stuff like disc launchers. Hope that helps!

@@scape211 Ok man great tips thanks! Yea the ice lasers don’t do much dmg now. I been using him as a support bot to keep fast bots locked down. And to target snipers to keep them out in the open when they mess up. Using panthers shield for my team allows me to blast away long enough to get the effect to work without being one shotted. I really hate mortars and snipers myself and can’t stand to use those weapons so I felt sorta forced into using the stasis due to the pilots available to me right now. I thought maybe leveling a pilot up and the right chips might make them good enough as a support weapon. I’ll probably try and get some disc launchers or carbines eventually to replace them though. Thanks again mate!

@@Wolf462 disc launchers are great. Carbines will have limited use and not worth the acoins to get or level up. But discs are a great goal the disc launcher 8s are decent and the disc launcher 12 are top tier. Both are on the progress path. Good luck bro!

@@scape211 Excellent that’s what I need to know in rephrase to the Disc launchers and Carbine. So if I only need 2 32 power attack mechs, what do most ppl run end game? 2 fast bots for early beacon control and one for late game if you fall behind? What for a 5th? A support bot? I like to brawl mostly which I know limits me on some maps so maybe last bot should be a sniper?… Thanks!

@@Wolf462 it depends on if you spend or not. But generally speaking yea people have at least one beacon runner like killshot or surge. Most run 2. Panther is also one everyone uses and guardian is very common too. I would say the top mechs in the game right now are panther, surge, stalker, and redeemer. The last slot is often killshot but it depends on the player and the loadouts.

I’m at 155000 exp in the progress path I’m going to buy brick house with my credits but should I save up all my A-coins and buy railgun or surge is surge r eally good now sense couple months ago he had great buffs

Personally I wouldn’t buy brickhouse. He’s not bad but doesn’t bring anything that better mechs won’t. Surge is worth it though and I find him to be the best mech in the game so he’s what I would focus on getting for sure

Not sure who's the top 5 meta mechs as I think it relies on your builds. I know surge is good but I use guardian to squash him all the time. Tengu is my favorite along with Orion. Two mechs I use the most. I love Ares but feel he needs something else just not sure what. As for killshot he's annoying. Killshot with javs is just as bad and annoying as mortar user's. Zepher is decently strong with the range implant. Nuts when u face 3-4. And mortars on brick house or stalker imo is a waste when you have 12's you're killing whatever it hits anyways even without the extra damage boost

I think Orion needs a nerf! If they justice remove the 3 second reload when his ability miss. I would be very happy and players will need a good skill to use it. That 3 second reload gives him an uneven advantage.

Wow, when I last played this game, Guardian, Panther, and Killshot were the top mechs with Surge being one of the worst.

I have to disagree on Killshot I may not be as advanced as some but I use Killshot with Jav 8’s and I’m very successful with it and them there are some maps in 5vs5 that I will use Zephyr and disks in but pretty good and very happy with Killshot

Well killshot did make the top 5. Do you think he should be higher? And tbh the list changes overtime. I even see how some mechs on it already could be suspect or heavily discussed. For example,any in the top tier would consider redeemer in the top 5 now.

@@scape211currently as mid June Killshot is top 7bot my opinion Redeemer as you said Surge and possibly Shadow could replace Killshot (Generally Killshot is a early-mid game mech)

@@cubation9254 a disc 16 wouldn't be good on stalker max stalker is better with double 12 and 18 witch is probably what he is at it would be a waist a single em 16 is way better then a single disc 16

Should because of the awesome advantage he brings so early. Should not because it’s low star and as a legendary it’s blueprints don’t come up too often. Either way it’s kind of a gamble, but if you get him early, his blueprints can show up in crates. So even though his upgrade process will take long, it would already take long to unlock him from the progress path. So I still think it’s a good buy.

BRO i NEED LANCER too have a BUFF he is literally the only mech who can fly the most unique and original ability and im talking more hp more energy levels all of that good stuff but it is what it is i know I'm a bit crazy on this one but i guess yeah lancer is kind of underrated, hes good with the javs ...........
