Is he directing wakanda forever?

1. Russo Brothers (no brainer) 2. James Gunn (his style is just amazing) 3. Joss Whedon (for a groundbreaking film like Avengers and a good sequel with AoU) 4. John Watts (his spider man movies were always good movies, but his style of direction especially proved itself in NWH with the apartment sequence) 5. John Favreau (He started the MCU and basically laid a draft of most MCU movies with the first Iron Man)

1. Russo bros (no explanation needed) 2. Coogler (the script somewhat let him down, but the shots when Killmonger took power were head and shoulders above anything else in the MCU cinematically) 3. Whedon (Avengers changed the game; he made an impossible movie) 4. Gunn (most fun Marvel movies that felt like MCU meets Star Wars and were my favorites for years) 5. Waititi (I don’t even particularly like the guy’s style, but I still have to admit, he’s got style)

Destin Daniel Cretton is an underrated director. Can’t wait to see what he can deliver in The Kang Dynasty. If Shang-Chi 2 is announced I’m sure he could come back to that one as well

Wow so his going to direct kang dynasty? Shang chi was definitely phenomenal, great action sequence, and my favorite phase 4 film if nwh doesn’t exist that is. Hope he does a phenomenal job to the first avengers after 6 years.

When it comes to Direction, definitely gotta give him credit, Shang Chi had some sort of identity and vision. Maybe not as The James Gunn Films but it did felt that it had a voice

Jon Watts really impressed me honestly, he improved with each film in his trilogy and it's nice to see the evolution of a director through his work.

1. James Gunn (The only one to have done more than 1 MCU flick and not have the quality drop hard) 2. Sam Raimi (People would probably tear MoM apart had it not been for the occasional Raimi hijacking, which was sorely needed.) 3. Ryan Coogler (Wakanda Forever's just gotta be good and he's #1 easily. Even if the first film felt occasionally stolen from him, his beating heart and care for detail and worldbuilding shines so far through) 4. Shane Black (He just knows how to make these kinda movies and it shows so clearly, both in writing and directing.) 5. Joss Whedon (The first Avengers kinda sucks directorially but AoU is much better and he gets most of his credit for the largely solid writing.)

1. Destin Daniel Cretton - The man changed the game when it comes to Marvel movies and has brought not only the MCU back to it's former glory after the failure of Black Widow but brought life back to Martial Arts movies, looking forward to seeing what he does with Kang Dynasty 2. The Russo's - No explanation truly needed they made 4 of the best Marvel movies, hopefully they come back to the MCU to make Captain America New World Order 3. Ryan Coogler - Brought the MCU one of it's greatest villains and although the VFX and certain elements of the script lacked, he was able to bring T'challa to life on the big screen, looking forward to seeing Wakanda Forever 4. James Gunn - James Gunn did the Guardians justice, he took C-Tier characters and made them his own and added the perfect amount of goofiness and seriousness that the characters encapsulate 5. Mohamed Diab - Not only did he bring Moon Knight to the MCU but he also made a successful Egypt based superhero action scene (I'm looking at you WW84) Honorable Mention - Chloe Zhao - although Eternals wasn't for everyone, Chloe Zhao had a unique vision for the characters and managed to make them somewhat interesting, hopefully we get an Eternals 2 so Chloe Zhao can show of her directing talent

@@arturocastroverde3349 He follows mandates, but that doesn't make him generic. Every Ant-Man movie has a different tone and feel. The first is a comedic take on the heist genre. The second is a screwball comedy in the vain of _It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World_ , _Innerspace_ , and _A Fish Called Wanda_ . And the third is a Micronauts movie with the Ant-Man cast.

My list: 1. James Gunn (he is my inspiration as a writer/director and his style allows him to pour his entire heart and soul into his films, which is something I aspire to do) 2. Russo Bros (they’re good, just not as good as Gunn in my eyes. While the movies they make are great, the movies are not at all visually appealing) 3. Joss Whedon (loved the first two avengers movies, but they don’t come close to what the top 2 directors have been able to accomplish) 4. Jon Favreau (the movies that he directed were fantastic and really ignited the spark of the entire MCU that could only have been lit by him) 5. Ryan Coogler (while I’m not a huge fan of his Black Panther movies, his style is very interesting and it works in many ways)

RYAN COOGLER?

1. Russo Bros (not even close) 2. Watts (created one of the few perfect superhero trilogies despite me not loving FFH as much as HC and NWH, still created an original origin story for Peter Parker) 3. Whedon (I don’t like this guy, but he truly created what the MCU is now and the fire deserves his credit for it) 4. Favreau (created the MCU single-handedly and with a banger of a movie on top of it. I don’t like Ironman 2, but it still has some great stuff and my favorite suit up scene in the MCU) 5. Gunn (one of the best surprises ever, and one of my favorite directors for the superhero genre. I hated Vol. 2, but Vol. 1 was phenomenal and I can’t wait to see the last one) Honorable mentions: Coogler (beautiful movie with the strongest message in the MCU, CANT wait for WF) Cretton (I liked him so much enough to probably crack top 5, but I’m going to hold back until I see another MCU movie which he’s already been gifted 2 big ones. Shang-Chi 2 and Kang Dynasty)

*The one director that DOESN'T AT ALL deserve a spot on this list is the ever respected and talented Sir Kenneth Branagh* 😂😂😂😂😂 . Guy is solid but falls short as a director everytime even the Agatha Christie movies (except Belfast which is not relatable for most)

I know this will get flack and I don’t in any way defend his behaviour over at DC but Joss Whedon’s formula for The Avengers defined the entire MCU and completely changed cinema forever, for better and worse.

Here's my list :) Not ranked thought 1. James Gunn 2. Russo Brothers 3. Sam Raimi 4. Joss Whedon(unfortunately) 5. Joe Johnston (director of Captain America 1 I would have put Taika on the list, but I'm unfortunately tired of him after Thor Love and Thunder. I did definetely like it but I feel like he didn't pay enough respect or make it all a big enough deal, especially with the Celestials just looking at the gods

Sam Raimi (your personal disappointments with the cameos and pacing aside, Multiverse of Madness undeniably had one of the most unique and creative visual directions & camera work of any MCU movie) 3. John Watts (nothing special about how the Holland Spider Man trilogy was directed, they were just all really good stories with lovable characters) 5. Taika Waititi (very unique, comedic, and eye-catching style. When it works with the material he's given like in Ragnarok, it's incredible. When he's given Gorr the God Butcher, ehhhh)

He's the president of marvel studios and I think he just tells them what character he wants in the movie and tries to make a decent storyline since it's a "Cinematic Universe".

Taika Waititi paradoxically directed the best MCU movie in Ragnarok and the worst in Love & Thunder.

I love James Gunn & The Russo Brothers, The three of them revitalized The Marvel Formula and Superhero's in general. Gunn Films really feel like they have a vision and some degree of Creative Liberty, which is something *Extremely difficult* to happen in Marvel Studios, they almost never let the Directors *actually direct* their films. Plus damn...GOTG 2 is a Cherry on top, The cinematography is Beautiful, The jokes and everything is spot on and The music OMG...Gunn definitely made The Guardians his own. And for the Russo's oh boy, Winter Soldier along with The GOTG films is one of the few Marvel movies with some type of Creative direction and tone by The Directors...that movie is basically a Political Thriller lol. Plus in terms of cinematographic lenguage...this guys have some of the Best shots and sequences in The Entire MCU, their work in Civil War also had a little of this but it was more Studio-controlled than Winter Soldier. The Final act of Civil War tho is a Freaking Masterpiece and along The Absolute BEST The Superhero Genre has to offer. Same for Infinity War, an Incredible achievement in the Genre of Superhero's and Blockbusters in general, and Glorification of the Marvel Formula... Endgame isnt as Mind-blowing for me as Infinity War but it's most definitely a Great Action packed Epic Blockbuster and Emotional conclusion that i will never forget.

The first two Spider-Man movies aren't bad movies. FFH has a few issues, but they're fine Spider-Man movies as they're leading up to the big final chapter in the trilogy that solidified him as Spidey
