“They are intelligent hunters, plotting their attack with precision.” He’s absolutely right, the intelligence of crocodilians is not talked about enough. Something interesting about Nile crocodiles, as shown in the video, is the fact that they are social, and they will indeed work together (which is rare as most crocodilians are solitary); Nile crocodiles are among the most social of all reptiles.

They film the underwater scenes in a separate safe environment, and add the that footage to the documentary later. They have a crocodile actor that they work with. He's a trained professional. Director: ok Jeremy, I'm gonna need you to just sink to the bottom of the pool with your head tilted up. Gary's gonna film your feet. Crocodile: yeah, I don't like how deep this water is, and tilting my head like that gets water up my nostrils... Director: I don't pay you to think. Get in the f***ing pool and act like a crocodile. That's not asking for much. Crocodile: you still haven't even paid me for the last shoot we did..

Well I may be wrong but I think he was down there messing with that thingy and got speared when that barb struck vital organ. When that barb go in you it dosent cone out without tearing something up.
