Neither of the Chapparals are jet boats, and they aren't $50k either. The 21 Surf starts around $78k. Maybe find another topic to cover you know something about?

Our starter boat was a 2007 Chaparral 18ft... ready for something new my two favorites on the video would be the Chaparral 224 Sunesta 22ft would be a perfect size. Yamaha AR 240/242-second favorite.

@@HarbourMastersTV just a little past the 50k$ range... if you ever get a chance to ride in one you should they are insane little boats! Anyone who makes it to the pacific northwest or Oregon area more specifically id gladly give a ride to! Love to bring smiles to people faces :)

#2 is not a jet boat either it has a stern drive.

Both Chaparral boats you mention are IO Stern drive units. Chaparral Made a line of Jet Boats from 2015-2021 called Vortex ranging from 20-24 feet in length. These boats used the BRP line of engines and jet drives from the popular SeaDoo watercraft. The handling and build quality of these boats are far superior to the Yamaha and Scarab boats. The 22' and 24' model boats had twin engines ranging in combined horsepower from 300, 400, 500 and 600 horses.The 22' and 24' VRX boats had a wake shaper along with ballast bags and pump which makes them a good beginner surf boat. The 20' models even had a dual engine 300 HP option which is highly sought after. In my opinion this video is poorly made with little effort involved to research the subject matter.

Great "Good Old Days" Videos, back before boat prices went wacka wacka weirdo. Today a used version of any of the boats mentioned will have an asking price higher than these "good old days" pricing. And the thought of turning any boat into a "water bulldozer" with $5-6 dollar marina gas is sobering. Good times back then.

#4 has a Sterndrive not a jet drive.

I bought one of these in 2011.. terrible uncontrollable boats.. worst decision I ever made. You need a propeller to control these boats

@@ahwayzcool4630 everything is good underway… the real problem is currents and low speeds It is a nightmare getting into a crowded marina slip.. a complete nightmare.. 21 foot jet skis don’t do well near other boats at low speed lol

None of these boats advertised retail for less then 50k and the chaparral are NOT jet drives . The have a reverse dual prop. Positioned forward of the lower unit on the out drive.

The best and only jet boat you need is a Glastron 20 with a big block.

Well 3 of the 5 are jet boats only… yikes!!

Jets are fine on a ski But I had the pleasure of taking a trip on a new Yamaha boat yea it was nice BUT it had 2 3 cyl engine extremely hi rev 6k only 20 mph my Mercruiser does that at 2500 I didn't like it.. to many moving parts in them motors spinning way to fast 8k still only 36 mph and it non responsive unless engines are making thrust boat did ride well and well designed But they Can Keep the Tiny Yamaha motors lll take a V8 any day or a V6 Mercruiser

yamaha is world renowned for reliability. I wouldn't worry about it.

I think you need to look up definition of Jet boat. You have no idea what you’re talking about.

2 of these are not jet boats....lmao. and none are around 50k. E for effort I guess
