How on earth do you have that minimoog mounted? You scared me half to death when I thought it was going to hit the ground! Must be worth a few fair thousand.

This is really valuable because you are describing WHY you are choosing the settings, not just WHICH settings you are using like 90% of the synth programming videos I've seen. When you mimicked a bass being plucked whilst talking about the tiny bit of attack, and the sustain on the soulful bass patch, it was immediately obvious that you were recreating the amplitude envelope that plucking a string causes. Such great subtle but powerful teaching. Thanks 👍

Agreed. Not just "hey set the knobs like this," but "this is what happens when I set the knobs like this, and this is why you might want to do that."

The reason why i love the Minimoog is that it's the first Compact Synthesizer ever but it doesn't feel old or outdated. You don't see that often that the first model of an invention still is one of the best after over 50 years.

The Minimoog is simply a beauty of a synth, always loved it due to it's very distinctive bass sounds. This synth was and still is ahead of it's time. Simply legendary!

And as an addition to the Mini Moog vs Behringer D discussion: At the time the Behringer came out I decided to opt for the Roland SE-02 instead as the price difference wasn't that much and the SE has a lot of additional features, Sequencer, cross modulation, preset storage and build in delay, to name a few. I really would recommend to take a look at it.

Always fun and entertaining to watch! You have to admit though, a lot of the classic minimoog performances come down to solid playing and technique. These days quite a few synths can bring you that sound, but the minimoog's quirks even force you to play a certain way (like the fact that the envelopes won't re-trigger).

I found you yesterday on youtube and had some (more) very interesting and symphatic hours viewing some of yours Videos. C64, MiniMoog, the turntables - great. The same Records in my cupboard - up to now. Memories to the my "first Contact" with Music - recorded from our TV Set with my cassette-recorder . Coming up to the electronic parts of Kraftwerk and Jean-Michel-Jarre and later many others.
