Still play that on my PS1 and I really fucking want them to bring one out on current gen with a great story mode and maybe allowing to make different choices, rather than going with a set story. That and PGR I would DEFINITELY buy.

Grand Prix Even though Grand Prix 4 has a huge modding comunity, I miss all those over the top crashes and fun races. No joke, it's still a better game than all the Codemasters ones.

+nivracer I only able to play up til MC3 remix... :(. The third one was a blast, with so many cars, tuners, super, bikes and so on. Burnout is pretty much an award winning series left out all because NFS hot pursuit 2010, and continues with re-branded criterion called ghost games

TDU 2 is still a good game. Install the right graphics and handling mods and it only looks a generation behind Drive Club, Project Cars, etc. Plus, there are SO MANY MOOOODDDDSSSSS.

Driver. The first two games were such a blast, with the open world and the 70's cop chases style. Then it kinda dropped off but San Francisco came out of nowhere and is one of the most fun racing games of 2010s. Really wish to see a sequel to that.

Anyone used to play Flatout? Used to absolutely LOVE that game, flying out of the car like a ragdoll, that needs to come back, put a little senseless fun into some offroad racing games for the current gen consoles! Oh, and speaking of offroad racing... What on earth happened to Motorstorm!? That game was fun as hell and would look stunning on current gen!

The makers of flat out made wreckfest, which also takes some inspiration from the destruction derby series, it’s available on pc but the release date for console has been pushed back, it looks worth the wait though!

Well said about Gran Turismo. Used to love those games. Now it's as you said "seventeen different versions of Nissan Skyline and 800 cars you don't want to drive."

Burnout and GRID on current gen would make me so so happy.

I still have fun with GT6, even after 2 years I always turn up the PS3 to do the time trials and races, buying new cars and stuff. Although you have to be pretty forgiving about the graphics of the standard cars I rather have them in the game instead of not having them. I guess this is personal taste, though. And no, personally I think Forza still needs to make up ground to the GT series, especially in terms of the physic model. And for fuck's sake, Microsoft, get a better driving wheel support! I loved the TOCA/DTM franchise on the PS1 and PS2. Then Grid was a simcade game and... well, I hate that game. You just can't play it with a steering wheel because every car oversteers like hell. Grid 2 was even worse, but Autosport saved it again. Also Ridge Racer is dead atm, nothing came out after Unbounded. And if you're putting the Gran Turismo series in the list, you can also put the Need For Speed series here. Let's be honest, for most fans there were only a few good NFS games after Most Wanted. Carbon was good, I love Pro Street, Undercover is shit, Shift is great, Hot Pursuit is great, Shift 2 is okay, The Run is meh, the new Most Wanted is terrible and also Rivals isn't a burner. I didn't play the new NFS, but I don't really care anymore. And for a third series, Motorstorm.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (old), Underground 2 and Most Wanted. Grand Prix Legends. Papyrus Indycar and Nascar games.

Midnight Club gets my vote, it took the street racing aspect of Need for Speed and kept that at it's heart, as well as adding in bikes, suv's and great graphics. It was really fun to play.

Burnout hit a spot I didn't know I had. Nostalgia. Yesss

Ahh thank you, I'm glad you have a good appreciation for the classics. I left Nintendo a long time ago and while I loved F-Zero it's in the past for me now. But I am glad you mentioned PGR, as PGR3 was my bag baby. Didn't really like 4 as much, but a return of PGR would make an old 360er happy. As for a sequel - wouldn't mind seeing Speed Devils part 2 continued from the old Dreamcast.

the Juiced franchise. it was never gonna be able to compete with nfs but i have fond memories of it.

OutRun 2 was a blast in the arcades. A 3rd one wouldn't be such a bad idea.

I miss Test Drive Unlimited 2, I thought that it was a great game.

TOCA race driver, PGR and burnout are the best forgotten racing games for me

Motorstorm was a pretty good racing game, Test drive unlimited also was amazing and I would love to see a new PGR.

The NASCAR thunder series needs to comeback with the team mode that is something i cant be the only one interested to see

Great pics! I consider Burnout 3: Takedown, to be the best arcade racer on the PS2! I also REALLY miss the Need For Speed Underground series, with Underground 2 being one of my favourite games growing up.

Ah, GRID. That was such an amazingly fun game, and probably one of the first I ever played on Xbox Live as well. At least Codies is giving us DiRT Rally on consoles very soon! I also cant believe Burnout Paradise is 8 years old now, I still play that game online from time to time to this day. I wanna add the MX vs ATV series to this list, because its in the exact same situation as the Gran Turismo series. Clearly in an identity crisis.

I would love a NFS The Run sequel, it was alluded to after beating the first.

Definitely PGR, a release on Xbox One and Windows 10 would be amazing. Gran Turismo needs to look what it did in the PS1/2 days and bring that forward (racing modifications for most cars, one-make championships), and also look at the stuff Forza has like the ability to make your own liveries, and as you mentioned, proper interiors for all cars. And less variants of the great 90s Jap cars, good as they are. Oh, and the small massive detail of how shockingly bad the cars sound. A ToCA reboot would also be amazing, the current season with some old school classics (definitely the 5-pot S40)

V8 Supercars 1, 2 and 3 (TOCA race driver in other countries I think) I pulled out to original Xbox to play it yesterday such a good series from code masters back in the day

The original Need For Speed series. Even though I love Underground 2, it was something different. Original ND4SPD was just pick a really fast car and race. Only super expensive luxuary cars were allowed. I'd love to play a NFS 2 with modern graphics and few more cars. No story mode, no career mode, just simple races, go run. Few cars is better if each is given more attention. I loved GRID for that. Few cars, no exactly a simulator, but the details in each car were amazing, especially when wrecked. Even doors flying around!

what I would really love a sequel from is Grand Prix Legends, I know it isn't really a series, but it should be, better graphics, sounds and AI and maby slightly tweaked phisics, that would be awsome. I would really love to see that.

Burnout Revenge IS the best game of all time. I had it on my Xbox. Not 360 or One, but the 1st console. I still play on it now & again (yes, my xbox is still working after 11 years.) and keep getting hooked. Didn't much like Paradise but I was new to the 360 at the time so I never got into it.

WipEout, m8. HD was great, but the series could really use some new tracks and ships *on new gen this time around*.

+Skellingtor Love me some Wipeout, would have been in there if it wasn't for the fact that we wouldn't have had Wipeout if it wasn't for F-Zero in my opinion. Still, played the BEJESUS out of Wipeout 3 and Fusion.

I miss Formula 1 2001 from 989 sports. This was a definitive formula 1 game for the play station 2and is the last game from studio Liverpool.

Bizarre was bought out by Turn 10. At best the features from PGR might be ported across to Forza. They've done some of that already with the weather and auto vista etc.

A Burnout 3 remake would be absolut awesome

I really want a PGR 5 with updated car and bike selection and possibly more total selection and more tracks, possibly a few of the irish road racing tracks, North West 200, Ulster and of course the Isle of Mann TT, or bring out an updated version of TT superbikes i loved that game on the PS2

I would love to see how a modern Sega GT reboot would compare to Forza and Gran Turismo.

Totally need a PGR reboot.

Dirt. Dirt was a great series of simcade games. Colin McRae Dirt, CMC Dirt2 and Dirt3 were great games. Then they came with Showdown, an arcade-demolitionderby game. And now Dirt Rally, a simulation. Dirt Rally is great, but Codies, we need a simcade Dirt4, please.

+Michi Adams If there was a #6 spot, it would have gone to DiRT. The original trilogy are great, heck, I even appreciated the demolition derby style of Showdown (Just not as a £30 release, maybe a £15 DLC extension for 3?), and while I'm curious to see how DiRT Rally holds up in April, I'm not sure gunning for the simulator crowd is the way to go.

+Michi Adams Well DiRT Rally is the best game of the Series to date but I have to say that you really can't call DiRT Rally a DiRT Game. It's something completely different and eventhough I love DiRT Rally so much more than every other DiRT Game, I would still appreciate a not so seriously taken Simcade DiRT again since DiRT 2 and 3 were on the top of my most beloved games. DiRT will never fail for me. I always loved the Series and as long as they stay in the Rally/Rallycross area, all is fine ^^

+Mapex Yep, same with me. The could have named it something and then Rally like Colin Mcrae Rally. Same as with Dirt Showdown. Good arcade game, but not a Dirt.

What about Ridge Racer? Not had a proper one in years. Wipeout too, has gone, which I loved.

gonna probably get hate for these two but.... Nascar Thunder 2004 and Nascar Rumble a game with probably the greatest (to me atleast) "career" mode and a actually fun mario kart style racing game... These need PROPER re-makes or re-releases.

Enthusia professional racing was pretty reasonable, sadly I do not think the series will be revived due to konami focusing on its pachinko machines now. If silent hills got cancelled there is no hope for enthusia, that is pretty clear now.

+Muammar Gibran Nascar Thunder 2004 will always be the best EA Sports title in my eyes... immediately followed by the downfall of EA Sports the following year.

What about the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series. The last REAL game was released back in 2003 for the PS2, which was TXR3. There have been some games after that, Import Tuner Challenge (Xbox360) and Street Supremacy (PSP), but there hasn't been an actual TXR4 game. COME ON GENKI, WE WANT ANOTHER ONE!

i think im in denial about gran turismo... i love the games and still play em - 1, 3 and 6... but... youre right... ive been thinking about it for a couple of months now... i actually want forza more - only thing stopping me is it being xbox exclusive. if it was on PC id already have it...

I miss Ridge Racer. I'm fan of the Ridge Racer games and this franchise is no longer active. I want more Ridge Racer games please. I don't know why so many people doesn't like Ridge Racer.

Is pgr 5 actually being released

Destruction Derby using the brilliant league format of DD2, and bring back TOCA properly. I know GRID is technically it's successor but I'd prefer an up to date version of TOCA WTC where you can do BTCC and the support races, DTM, V8 supercars, WTCC etc

Automobilista is pretty nice. Don't be fooled by the... down-to-earth graphics.

Codemasters just acquired the Driveclub studio. They could get those guys to make a new GRID. You forgot TestDrive. Both Unlimited and Eve of Destruction. If you want a PGR go play Forza Horizon 2. My number 1 game I want back is Street Legal Redline. ( Though Very Buggy, Find a fixed modded version ) You have the most epic car customization street racing game ever made. Huge modding community. You can build and tune every aspect of your car EVERYTHING! They were coming back through Kickstarter with *Street Tuning Evolution* but was unsuccessful

If you want to get a good online race out of GT6, go to the GTPlanet forums. They have leagues and single races that cater for everyone. It's amazing.

First of all, Gran Turismo series is the best selling racing simulation; 77 million copies sold, unlike the shit you call "Forza" with only 16 million copies as of June 2016. Second of all, GT Sport will be released in February 2017 (This comment is in January 2017), and it will dominant every racing simulation out there.

I help anytime In my opinion,forza has the most good games but when the gran turismos I liked are probably in the top 10-25 best racers with 4 possibly number 1.

i completely agree with grand turismo being on this list.. GT6 is only good for online events. It took one tenth the time to complete compared to gt5.... It's too bad the online event for gt5 is gone because i'd be on that game from time to time even to this date if it was still live.

I loved destruction derby, since hot pursuit was far too difficult to play (since I was 5) I would play destruction derby up until I was 7 with my dad. I lost the game but yeah that was a fond memory you brought back to me.

All I want from GT7: To cut out all the random cars most people don't want to drive and replace them with relevant cars. There 20-40 MX-5's (we only need 1 from each generation) but not a single Koenigsegg Minimal/no standard cars for obvious reasons. More customisation. The ability to swap drivetrains and engines would breathe infinitely more life into GT. Not stupid things like a Veyron's W16 into a Ford KA but real things like a 2J into a GT86. Even more I depth tuning. From more body options to even more precise suspension set ups.

+David Ferreira EA own any Porsche video game licensing. Turn 10/Playground Games (maybe even Microsoft themselves) had to pay EA to allow their Forza Porsche Expansion packs to happen. Polyphony/Sony are too lazy or too stubborn to do the same.

I miss the NASCAR and indycar racing by papyrus

Gran Turismo Sport is set for release in 2017. No way would it take that long for GT Sport to be released, that's an understatement. Kaz and Polyphony Digital have been working on GT Sport for about one or two years now, that they're not going to bother designing the rest of the concept cars in GT6. They're so focused on GT Sport now.

I was an Xbox boy, Xbox teen and now Xbox man so I never got to play Gran Turismo but I did get to play Forza Motorsport 1,2,3,4 & 6 and also Forza Horizon 1 & 2 which are all excellent games so I don't think I've missed much. I also had Burnout 3: Takedown and Burnout Revenge, the latter being the best game of all time so I've never really rated GT.

I Miss the Drive Games from Synetic: Have a N.I.C.E. Day; N.I.C.E. 2 and World Racing 2 are Great games.

F-Zero ;_; i dunno why they toped to make that games. omg so many old memories.
