Hey Pan, do you know how long the AvalonKing coating lasts in the bottle? For example of I buy one now at the discount will it be fine to use in October? Also how do you get spray on ceramic and graphene coatings off the clear coat in prep for a full strength ceramic coating like AvalonKing? If you have a video for that can you provide a link? Would a strip soap and IPA do it?

AvalonKing states that their coating is good for about one year if unopened and stored in stable conditions (never frozen). The only way to properly and fully remove previous paint protectants, is to go through the entire wash, decontamination, and especially machine polishing. Thanks for highlighting Opti seal! After trying so many products over the years, I keep coming back to Opti-seal and Hyper seal. They may not have the most impressive hydrophobics, but I’ve never used anything that’s so easy and satisfying to apply. It’s like butter melting into the paint, especially as a drying aid. I use way too much product and never have to buff. The high spots just seem to vanish. The gloss is also really good.

Great video PAN! For "midrange" paint protection I love the new Turtle Wax 75th Anniversary Wax, it is very easy to use. Then, I have been using the Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Wet Wax as a drying aid.

Mate get onto the Bowdens gear. Ease of application for a good sealant is Wet Dreams if you don’t have a pressure washer or Happy Ending if you do. You’ll be impressed.

I’ve never tried the Avalon King ceramic coating before. I just ordered 3 kits plus the two free shampoos option. It comes to about $67 Canadian per Ceramic Coating kit and that is a VERY VERY low cost per kit. In fact that’s by far the most inexpensive ceramic coating kit I’ve ever purchased. I can’t wait to get this and try it out. Thanks for getting us such a good deal Pan

@@danlc95 hi! Yes this is an amazing field! There are so many directions one can go in packaging. Everything you touch comes in a package and is shipped, from cosmetics to computers. There are universities that offer degrees in Packaging Engineering. In the US, the main ones are Michigan State and Rochester Institute of Technology, among others.

I’m hooked on the Turtle Wax 3 product combo, 1 and Done Polish, Graphene Max Wax and now I use the spray Flex Wax as a drying aid. Thanks for your videos on cleaning and prepping the car for application of these products. 👍🏽 I also used the Flex wax spray on a cleaned mower deck and snow blower. Snow does not clog and grass wipes right off 🙂

The like your review of the Optimum Opti-Seal. Bottom line is there are so many good products out there and the key is to reapply those every 2-3 months. That’ll continue to give you all the continual protection and shine you need.

I was pretty happy with the Armor Shield iX.. Wish I had done 2 coats.. ended up using a lot on plastics to restore shine.. worked really well.

Great video. I just used chemical guys extreme top coat. It was thick when applying and a little grippy in towel when removing after the recommended 15 min cure time

I have not tried the IGL nor Graphene product from Glassparency but do trust your list, similar results in my use of the others.

I’m hooked on 303’s Graphene nano coating spray. It has worked great and is super easy to apply.

Great video, because of you I am using Turtle Wax ICE Seal & Shine. I get between 4-6 months. I use it on my work truck and live on a gravel road and the truck lives outside all year. I’m building a shop and will be venturing into the ceramic world. Thanks for giving me the confidence and the knowledge to up my DIY detailing. I now live washing my vehicle. I’m even getting my teenage son on board on cleaning his dirt bike. Keep up the awesome videos.

Great content as always, Pan! Based on a recommendation you made a couple of years ago, I bought Meguiar's "Fast Finish". I FINALLY applied it to my wife's car after completely stripping it down and doing paint correction (compound and polish), and a final wipe down with IPA. The Fast Finish was ridiculously easy to apply and looks spectacular! Even though Meg's doesn't necessarily say to do so, the next day I did a quick dust-off of the paint and added a second coat. Again, super easy!! For other viewers, the Meg's Fast Finish is a polymer based sealant that can go on freshly stripped paint; or can be added over the top of other products. It's only designed to last up to a year, but with regular maintenance washes and something like a wipe-as-you-dry spray wax, should last at least that long.

It’s not made to be applied on top of other protection and not meant to be used as a drying aid. It’s fairly old technology at this point hehe. Things have evolved a lot in the detailing world in the past years.

You're right! I mixed up a couple of products. Fast Finish is best on fully prepared paint, but can be applied after a thorough wash with something like Adam's Strip Wash. Ideally after removing other coatings. And, like you said, definitely not as a drying aid.

Hi Pan! Thanks for another great video! My personal revelation this year is the new graphene ceramic coating from Adam's. It was a breeze to install, and the results are just stunning. I was looking to put a ceramic coating on my wife's vehicle, I'll try the one from Avalon King that you talked about, although I can't seem to find the coupon, like you said I can see it's indeed really inexpensive so I'll try it anyway! Pan thank you for these videos. Im a first car owner (new) and am completely swamped and confused by all the products out there. To keep my sanity, i decided to start easy using the ONR-Optiseal two bucket method (per your and others recommendation) and it went quite well. I'd love to get into more in-depth with ceramics and such but its starting to be confusing, which layer goes where. And since in my situation, i don't have a garage, my car is always exposed so planning is a nightmare hahah (Montreal, Canada as well). Im also getting that super glossy wax (yellow liquid) and some vrp for the tires/wheels soon. Man what a world.

Unfortunately it's raining and supposed to be all weekend here. I was looking forward to finally using Turtle Wax Ice n Shine I keep seeing great reviews of. I don't have access to a garage so I don't want to apply a ceramic coating, my luck the wind will pick up and blow dust everywhere.

Opti-Seal seemed to work well but Optimum suggested using Hyper-Seal instead as their "new formula" contains both SIC and SIO2 components offering up to a year of protection. It's proven easy to apply and so far has worked well with my vehicle's Pro+ coating.

love Avalon King. it's so easy.. also Gyeon stuff is ready to apply and lasts a while. ive done quite a few Can Coat applications and top it every 2 3 months with Cure and Gyeon ceramic stock detailer. though recently I've been super happy with Griots 3 in 1 ceramic spray. I polished a customers car, ipa wiped then applied 2 coats ..its just starting to wear after 7 months! amazing stuff and can you it as a drying aide 1 spray per panel then dry while car to just keep it working indefinitely. easy easy to use .. no streaking

Like always, fantastic video Pan! In my opinion the new Turtle Wax Graphene Infused Flex Wax was a really easy product to apply. From the traditional paste wax point of view I think one of the easiest waxes I've ever applied is the Autoglym UHD Wax. I'm not even sure do you get Autoglym products in North America? I would like to see you try out a product from a Finnish car care brand, Korrek. The product is called Korrek Pro Ceramic TFC Evo. It's a 5+ year ceramic coating. If you can get your hands on it, I would love to hear what you think of it👌🏻.

Nu Finish is obviously a heavy hitting consumer brand and I'm excited to see them doing what they claim is a first of it's kind ceramic spray. Used Turtle Wax Flex Wax about a week ago, I thought it was easy to apply and level. I had no streaking or problems! Did a full sized Nissan Titan and then did a 300z still have half a bottle left, very economical for the diy.

Yes you can absolutely use the Griot's Garage ceramic detailer spray on top. Any silica spray sealant of your licking.

Pan, you have inspired me to try applying a coating at home. I have a white jeep that stays outside and a black telluride that is garage kept. Between the Armour King and the Glassparency, which would you recommend for each one? (I live in florida/both daily drivers) Thanks in advance.

Awesome video pan! Quick question. Should I use Adam’s strip shampoo?? I applied P&S bead maker last summer and even through the winter and washes I still have water beading?! I wanted to apply Turtle wax graphene flex spray wax. But want to apply it to a some what virgin clear coat? Just worried will the Adam’s strip shampoo dry out my plastics or rubber? You should maintain that with a choice of three options: 1) Ceramic Wet Wax as a drying aid after each wash 2) Ceramic Wash n Wax shampoo 3) Ceramic 3-in-1 Quick Detailer as a quick detail spray Yes after three months, you could reapply a fresh layer of Ceramic Spray Coating if you want. ONR can be apply on any surface and any coat or protection exist in the world!

Once I figured out the "best practices" for application, Optimum became the fastest and easiest for me. Optimum Car Wax. This product leaves a slick, glossy finish. I've found it can hold up for quite a while, but I got the maximum results by lightly wiping into the paint until it disappears. Just spraying and wiping doesn't seem as effective. Optimum Opti-Seal/Hyper Seal/Gloss Coat. These two benefit from a foam applicator application. You want enough liquid to leave behind a thin wet film, and let set until most if not all excess flashes away. Opti-Seal is still a sealant, and it's new formula in the frosted bottle contains sio2. Hyper Seal is a bit like Gloss Coat with it's SIC/SiO2 chemistry. Gloss Coat is a straight up ceramic coating, so more prep is required for it's maximum performance (polishing if needed, and a panel wipe).

Wow it works if you apply the discount! That’s a long time for a discount to run!

Hmmm. A tar remover left white deposits? Were you headlights coated with anything? Your best bet would be to contact Angelwax and have them troubleshoot with you, as they know the chemistry of their product better than anyone else. I haven't encountered this issue.

@@PanTheOrganizer thanks, they were coated, and I have contacted them, it seems like the remover actually started eating the headlights plastic. Will see what their respons is, in the worst case scenario I'll have to repolish them and recoat them. Thank you for such a fast response 😁👍

Really good video as usual, I’m not sure if you get Autoglym in Canada, but it would be nice to see a review on some of their products.

hey Pan, knowing how you study the products you review i was just wondering with all the coatings and extra layers etc would that show on a really good digital paint thickness tool ? curious if it shows in microns

Yes it's also very easy to use and gives great gloss. It made my glossiest products video a few weeks ago.

The Opti-Seal looks just like the old Turtle Wax Ice Liquid Polish.

Gyeon Wet Coat, Devil’s Blood and Typhoon by Fireball, Topper by X Stream Solutions and Beadmaker are the easiest that I have found.

+1 for Gyeon Wet Coat. I mist the Wheels maybe every other time as we wash our cars once a week. I feel the Brake Buster ( semi- diluted) knocks it back some. Also, I mist the front area of the 2 heavy Daily Drivers. They just get hammered from the daily highway driving.

Love the videos pan! I am having a problem with my ceramic spray coating, it's turtle wax. When applied it looks great, feels great, and works great until the first rainstorm is over. Then the water beads don't roll off the car anymore and pools of water almost the size of a dollar bill form. After the second rain storm the water beading is gone. I expected hybrid solutions to last longer then one or two rain storms. Are my expectations unrealistic or do you think there could be an application problem?

Hmm. You should write to Turtle Wax and troubleshoot with them as they help people all the time and have experience troubleshooting their products. With two layers, I consistently get 9+ months of protection with the Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray Coating.

Pan! Love your videos! I have a suggestion, maybe do talk about the product a little more like durability, gloss, etc., It helps if I have a question like: "what paint protectant is easiest to put on but gives good durability?" Then I can get all that info from one video instead of hunting around for the durability answer after I find out it's easy to use. You don't have to go in depth about things like durability, but just a sentence or so on if it is durable. Just my thoughts! No need to incorporate if you feel differently! I love the new videos I am just hoping to get a high level view of all the characteristics after you mention them. Thanks! Jeff

I used Tacsystem Moonlight for the first time last weekend and it was great! It's a little pricey but so worth it and easy to use.

I agree with you on Moonlight. Very easy to use. Of all the products I’ve tested/used it’s the easiest. I got 3 cars and a truck on one bottle so I didn’t think it was that expensive per car.

Yes that is another easy one! More and more products are becoming easier to apply. Nice to see brands actually put effort into making sure users have a good experience applying them. Durability isn't the only factor to consider when purchasing a product. ;)

If you can get your hands on opti-coat hyper-seal it's a straight upgrade over opti-seal. I have a bottle of both, but have shelved my opti-seal and keep it for whenever I recoat my car. Hyper-seal over gloss coat and as a paint sealant works great. Plus the same great dry-aid feature.

I recently tried hyper seal again after a few years of other products and I’m astounded at how good it is. It’s just so satisfying to use as a drying aid. I use way too much and still don’t have to buff. It doesn’t seem to get the recognition it deserves.

They have a new formula of Opti-Seal that contains SiO2, a lot like the original Hyper Seal, as the new Hyper Seal contains SIC like Gloss Coat. Ron on the Opti forum said that Gloss Coat + Hyper Seal is the closest the consumer line gets to their pro coatings.

Again , another awesome video. I have very hard water where I live. What spray on easy to use product can I use to help with those water spots in between washes? if you already have a video that I've missed please tag me on it. I'm desperate for you help. A little background info. Its a new 2021 Chevy Colorado. I've only used wash /wax and I recently used the Shine armor 3-1 ceramic spray on it. but I still have morning water marks from the overnight dew on my hood. and if I was it the hardwater spots make it look worst. If you want to make a video to help me that would also be great.

Have you had any experience with the Underdog brand coatings? It seems like a newer product and I've heard good things but there isn't much out there about them yet. I'm not even sure they are "ceramic" but have long durability claims. They have a "lite" version and a "pro" version. You should definitely test them out!

Great video! I used your discount code for the Armor Shield IX. It was very easy to use. I have a couple videos on my channel of it. It's still going strong after three months on a daily driver!

I have tried their Uber Wash (rinseless wash) and their sealant too.

My easiest wax sealant to apply were Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection and Zymol’s Field Glaze.

Thanks for the great video Pan👍 Have a question. Can you please recommend "the best" topper or maintenance coat for Graphene coated car. It should have below qualities in the priority order: 1. Easy to Use. 2. Best shine and hydrophobic properties 3. Durability - at least 2-3 months!!

For ease of use and gloss, Xtreme Solutions Topper here: amzn.to/3fSrnJn But you can't get it all: hydrophobics, and durability and gloss and ease of use lol. There are always compromises.

Always the sealant first, wax is last. For maintenance, use the Spray Wax or the ICE Quick Detailer.

I actually just used Turtle Wax spray wax as a drying aid 3 days ago and it couldn't be any easier. I did a couple sprays on the wet panel a d threw my Sucker drying towel over the panel and just pulled it across and dry as a bone! You don't have to break the bank with a product like THIS👍👍

@@jasonprescod8267 I usually apply directly and I’m generous as it’s a pretty economical product! I have a layer of seal n shine under the wax as well! I used to be a paste wax fanatic until I started using the ICE line, not looking back!

I've used avalon king. It's so easy to use you almost feel like its fake and not actually a ceramic coat. The finished results though are amazing.

Flex Wax can give a few streaks if you're not careful, but is still pretty easy to apply overall, and is more versatile as it can be used in multiple ways: dry application, wet application, drying aid, or spray on rinse off.

Pan i sue the Mother California ceramic spray coating Sio2 + Tio2 the result are fantastic can you review this product for us i would like to know your thouth on on this product

Another great video PAN! I must agree with AvalonKing. Applied 2 coats and have received numerous comments. I do use a “Topper” and it’s XtremeSolution. I recommend you try and do a video on Phil’s “New Auto Fanatic 007 Snow Storm Car Shampoo V 2.0 Mega Foam Concentrate”. It is better than any Car Wash Shampoo I’ve ever used!

@@PanTheOrganizer Building a home, moved out of my rental. Will not have the use of my Power Washer, Foam Cannon and other detailing supplies. Will have to use a Self Service Car Wash for 5 months and 2 Bucket Method. Use their water to fill my buckets and wand for pressure to rinse. Have the iK Multi Pro 2 Pump Foamer for wheel cleaning. Ordered the iK Multi Pro Pro 2 Pump Sprayer. Using it with McKee’s 37 Rinseless Wash while I do the wheels. Need to go back and look at complete process videoed on your Porsche. I refuse to use a Drive Through Car Wash with brushes despite having used AvalonKing’s Ceramic Coating. Your thoughts and suggestions?

Yes I would always avoid an automated car wash, regarldess if it is with brushes or contactless. They use way too harsh chemicals. I would rather clean my car less often, but bring it to a professional detailer to have it done properly once a month, compared to every week at an automated car wash.

@@PanTheOrganizer Pan, I’ll be doing the washing imyself using a 2 bucket method. I have everything but my Foam Cannon. The Wash Bays charge $2.00 just need quarters. I’ll use their water and water pressure that’s equal to my Gas Pressure Washer. Just waiting for my McKee 37 N-914 and iK Multi PRO Sprayer.

I think you may try out some japanese brands products. Some of them do really good as well. Its very interesting to compare them to US brands and Euro brands. thanks

Les céramiques IGL Kenzo ne sont disponibles que pour les detailers professionnels accrédités pour IGL.

I've always found Collinite 845 insulator wax easy to apply and work with.

H Pan big fan from Australia and love your videos and advice. I just tried turtle wax seal and shine and found it very hard to apply and remove unfortunately. I applied as per your videos with a microfiber sponge and removed with eagle edgeless 300. It seemed to dry before I finished applying even doing half a panel at a time. When I was finally able to remove all of the product it finished with a slight haze in the reflection compared to untreated panels. The slickness and shine were definitely there but the reflection was not as clear as untreated panels almost like a slight compound haze. The temperature was 30 degrees Celsius and high humidity but surface was cool and in the shade..

Hi Darren. Hard to say as I work in a controlled environment, and I don't know what prep you did, if you had any other protection on the surface prior to applying, how much you applied, etc. It can streak for some people in some situations, especially higher heat and humidity like you had. Did you reach out to Turtle Wax? They are good at helping people troubleshoot. One thing you can do when applying, is follow up with lightly dampened towel with only water, wipe, and then another clean and dry towel to buff.

@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks for your reply Pan much appreciated. I did have previous layers of carnauba on the car but I read on the bottle it can be used as a topper so I didn't remove. This along with the weather conditions may have been my mistake. 2023 mustang GT California special in Atlas blue. Sometimes I think just staring at my paint too long puts another swirl in her. Thanks again Pan will try a wet towel like you suggested next time.

Hi Pan on watching more of your videos I've picked up another mistake I made when applying seal and shine. I use a wax infused car shampoo and I think I have put down too many layers of protection. This would explain the streaking and cloudiness especially with a mixture of 3 brands that may have compatibility issues. I have all the products now and a new FLEX XCE 8 , 18V polisher so it might be time to start from scratch or virgin clear coat as you say mate. I'll watch a lot more of your videos and soak up as much knowledge as I can until I'm confident enough to polish. Your videos are so detailed and informative yet very easy to follow which makes them a pleasure to watch and learn from. Appreciate all the work you put into your videos and for replying to our questions when we get in trouble. Great work Pan thanks mate.

Pan, after Armor Shield for maintenance I am debating. Should I use Turtle Wax Graphene, Carpros Reload, Pinnacle Sio2, IGL Ecocoat?

They are all good toppers. Use which ever one you prefer.

Can you do a rolling series of "top easiest to use" products? Because that's my #2 criteria when choosing a car detailing product. (#1 is that it works well enough to make it to the next wash, even if life gets in the way for a little bit). PS. My favorite products are: TW Flex Wax; TW wheel and tire cleaner; hose guides for the tires; wash mitts; BH Touch-less pre-wash + mjjc wide mouth foam lance.
