One talisman I always forget to mention in the “crimson seed talisman”. It boosts your healing flask by 20% and it can be just as good as certain damage negation talismans. Other good ones to boost neutral game will be the erdtree favour, green turtle talisman and great jars arsenal. Feel free to leave your talisman recommendations.

For talismans that are good swaps, when using a faith build make sure to use the old lords talisman for an extra 30% time to buffs, really improves golden vow and FGMS. Also if you have 25 faith you can tali swap to faith tali to hit requirements for bfp. If you use the crimson seed tali, make sure to swap to the red scarab and guardian garb for another extra 10% in heals. On multi hit attack setups, i like using the Godskin swaddling cloth to regain health after combos. Even works on ghost hits.

I run a tank with Executioner’s great axe. Greatshield, Dragon crest, curved sword, & dagger. Depending on situation I swap one to axe, claw, or blessed dew.

You can get an extra one from NG+, but that's also not recommended if you're going into the DLC as well because the DLC will scale ​@GTRNemo

One thing I would change up is your stormblade Nagakiba build. Nagakiba is a great weapon because of how long it is. However, it has base katana bleed buildup. What I recommend is to use the Flamberge with Bloodflame as it has significantly higher bleed buildup.

That's... Just not true. Some of them have particular element resistances according to dlc's theming, but it was absolutely not the case for straight up everything casting or status effect related.

I am very excited

My build going in right now is a lvl 100 destined death themed build. Main weapons are the Godslayer Greatsword and Black Knife, with all the black flame incantations as well as a few generic body buffs. I'm using the godskin stitcher and peeler as alternate weapons to try any cool ashes of war. My idea is that this type of damage is consistently good the %HP burn, without having the potential to DPS cheese bosses like my arcane or intelligence builds can. I also think there's a good chance that Gloam Eyed Queen/ Destined Death ends up being important in this DLC for lore reasons so hopefully the build ends up aligning with that.

11:12 - I was unaware they stacked! Still, it's nice to see some of my favorite weapons covered in these builds. Thanks!

Usually it’s 60 vigour, 25 endurance, and 40-60 in whatever other stat category you need (intelligence, faith, arcane, dex)

03:00 - Glad to hear that the int/faith builds are still viable, thank you for all the updates! It's about time I get back to the game.

Had a faith/int build started last year wayy before the dlc announcement, just so that I can have the chance to try every new spell

BTW, for the SoNaF, try the Rennala hat. 3 INT at this level is 6.67% more, which is more than the 2% you gain from the Spellblade set. Of course it might not scale linearly, but it likely still outperforms it. Also helps the seal.

Going with a Crucible Knight build and just gonna integrate the new spells into my build, love ordovis’ sword

This is the only build video that actually talks about items you get before the DLC.

It really is just play however you want with whatever build you want. Collect a handful of larval tears and now nobody needs to worry abt anything

Glad to know my lightning/black blade samurai build is going to be a good option to run for the dlc

Dragon communion is very good if you want to cover many damage types, many breath attacks.

Worth noting that the Prince of Death Staff beats Gelmir's when you hit 50 in each, so it's not a big jump up from the 45/45 split.

Going with a quality build. I'm currently running two bloodhound fangs and two hoslow petal whips and so far everything in the game (including mohg) is getting mowed by it, so hopefully the dlc will be the same 🔥

The first build I'm doing is 56 Dex/69 Faith for Godslayer's GS and Blackflame and Frenzied flame spells with also 17 arc for dragon communion and morgott's cursed sword as many weps and spells require that 17 breakpoint but scale good off dex too, and dex will likely be what most Light GSs use. I personally go to about Lv200 since I prefer PvE solo, and I'll allow myself to go to Lv250 once the DLC has been entered as the game loses some impact for me when you don't need runes. I do also have a faith arc character ready, and pure int as well and I am working on Faith/Int.

Everyone is saying to have your character at 150,but if your me i say doubt that and farm your character to at least 300 you got plenty of time to do it,if your using the Mohgwyn Palace farming area (Palace Approach Ledge-Road)

For your guard counter build a fun addition since it's bleed is to get the spiked great shield by the giant jar in caelid and stick shield crash on there. You can send enemies flying and get staggers on bosses and if they try to hit you it blocks so you can proc bleed even when you have to be defensive

With all those playthroughs where they use buff to one shot all bosses, curious how they'd fair against dlc without making use the new level up mechanic

Just go with a STR build (70 STR with +10 in the flask) and switch between Unga Bunga weapons (e.g. Royal Knight's Resolve Giant-Crusher) and bleed proc weapons (e.g. dual wielding Cragblade gargoyle's twinspear with blood affinity) according to the enemies' bleed resistance. Nothing can go wrong with that. I doubt DLC enemies will be weak to FAITH/ARCANE builds. I'd also suggest, if you really want to go with a FAITH build, to just wield Blasphemous Blade, it's just trivially the easiest best weapon in the game (for PvE purposes).

I'm going in with double hoslow whips with cold and bleed. At least on one of my characters. I will have to go beat mohg again though cause new game plus. But who knows what dlc weapon I'll go for

strenght build with fingerprint (shield crash when needed (against malenia for example) or no ash)+Antspur Rapier (bleed infusion)=easy mode have fun

It’s so odd to me that there is literally 1 weapon that has faith and int scaling. There are spells and incantations that require both. There is a staff and seal that scale in both. But there’s only one weapon? Yeah, it’s a very good weapon. But what if I don’t want to use a straight sword? Hopefully the DLC adds more, or at least an infusion for it. The other MASSIVE, gripe I have. Is how there is no seal that scale in faith/dex. There’s a seal that scales in strength, int, and arcane. But not dex? What’s even crazier is that they have the gravel stone seal that boosts lightning incants. Lightning damage in ER comes purely from dex. So, it would stand to reason, that the lightning seal, would have dex scaling. But it doesn’t, WHY?! Why are dex/faith builds just given the shaft when it comes to actually wanting to cast? There are plenty of dex faith weapons. But I guess get fucked if you want to cast incantations that deal more than a tickle of damage.

What ng+ do you take this footage in?

IMO taking a overleveled build would be best for the DLC. you won't be OP since DLC scalings exist and you will be able to try out all the new weapons and spells.

If you do the complete questline for ranni and kill blaidd infrot of Ranni's Rise when he attacks you. You can then go back to iji and talk to him and tell him about Blaidds death and then reload the area his Bell-Bearing will be on his Anvil.

Its either zweihander or guts greatsword for me.

Maliketh's Black Blade is by far the best base game weapon for both NG+ and this Dlc

@@Bayle-the-Dread-Dragon in like 80% of situations you cant pull off the full ash of war without getting hit, frostbite also deals % dmg and debuffs enemies. Moonlight is more fp efficient and easier to use, has a better moveset, more range with ash of war, and a better stat to scale with to top it all off

All the bloodflame weapons and incants will definitely get a big hit in the dlc, from what we've seen, a lot of enemies and bosses look very resistant to fire damage and most of them are also very strong against bleed. So taking these weapons into the dlc or using them to cheese a boss you're struggling on probably wont cut it.

All of those builds sounds really good. However, the full strength build is just better

.... whats this about immune to ailments? You telling me my poison/bleed will be slightly slightly worse even though i can easily proc item effects with seppuku or the one self poison item?

Seems like the DLC will be fun. Don't like the need for buffs, there is nothing more boring than buffing for 15 s before a fight and then having to rebuff during a fight. I will be using a Meteoric ore blade, misericorde and black knife. No buffs, clean damage.

The select few that got to demo were given sl 150 characters

The Golden Vow + FGMS combo, as good as it is...and it os really good, is a bit boring. I hope we get some other accessible alternative body/aura buffs in the DLC, even if they end up being slightly weaker or slightly more niche.
