Just received the K19 few days ago, super convenience.

Tasmanian Tiger is really, really good! One of the few German companies that sells all their stuff to civilians as well and the quality is top notch!

I really like my One Tigris Vulture (with sub pouch) with a Haley Strategic Flatpack. It's light, minimalist and breathable. It can carry AK mags or your M4 mags with some spots for pistol magazines. I like it due to very little clutter and even with the rig on its own it's capable of many adjustments allowing for a snug fit for many body types.

Suddenly there is a situation. HOLD IT!!! I have to thread my vest. I just want it ready to put on, that I have already adjusted the fit and it's ready to go, like a jacket. The only features I'm worried about are that it fits and it protects me. As far as carrying equipment, most vests are comparable. You don't buy it, if it doesn't meet your needs.

Because the Mags would be too heavy and not fit in the rifles. 30 rounds of 556 is already enough weight to carry without adding more.

Rigs are justified when you go on long range patrols with backpacks. Your back will say "thanks" when you get yourself a chestrig. As far as my personal experience goes

I have a chest rig, but it’s not the right one. The magazine pouches are directly on the front of the rig. If you are under fire and you have to dive onto your belly, you can damage the magazines. I’m looking for a chest rig that has the mag pouches on the sides.

@@brianunderwood7437 Fair enough. I’m no expert but I’ve seen people running the Crye AVS which has detachable sides. There are after market sides you can get that hold magazines and simply velcro in place to replace the old sides. Hope this helps at least give you one option

As far as chest rigs go I really can’t tell, however with the plate carriers you will have to purchase after market mag pouches so you could buy AK ones

Chest rigs don't have anywhere to put soft armor. But there are plenty of soft armor vest that are made to be worn under your shirt, and you could wear a chest rig over that.

In my day, that's how we always wore it: chest rig over body armor. Of course, our rigs were a bit simpler than a lot of the stuff you get nowadays.

I hate plate carriers, I prefer a Kevlar vest with plates in it...

You guys have 3 videos for the best plate carriers and the lists are inconsistent. Some plate carriers are high up on one list and then at the bottom of the others. And you have some that were lower on other videos and higher than others. It's a contrary series of lists.. sounds like you're bumping up the companies who sponsor you the best . But the lists don't add up.

Look, if you need a carrier just in case at the house, buy a condor for 60$

You might get a carrier that holds up to moderate use, or it might tear at the seams the first time you try to climb over something in it. Boost your budget to $190 and get a Trex Arms AC1, and rest assured that you aren't flipping a coin with whether you're getting a decent product or a piece of garbage.
