I really like the sound of the original 40 series. But the 44 series also sounds really good.

Got a used 2001 1500 5.3L with 170K miles recently and its a solid truck. They sound great, have plenty of power, and have tons of aftermarket mods. Also everything is pretty easy and cheap to fix/replace.

They all have that nice deep exhaust tone I like. Reminds me of an off shore powerboat.

Seems like the 2019 and newer Silverados are quiet by design. My installer sold me on a Super 10 and I was hesitant because it's suppose to be the loudest. But on my 2021 5.3 it was perfect. No drone, very little in any interior noise. He was right.

I did a muffler delete on a 2016, 5.3 Silverado last year. I kept the flapper and resonator. It's loud at startup but not too loud driving, and it does rattle a bit on start-up with that flapper still there. I want to to "dual it out" with this super 10 I think, and remove the resonator and flapper!

Question/statement. I’m building a retromod 59 Apache 3100 with 5.3 sitting on an 1983 C-10 frame. Currently, I have headers on the truck with dual 02 sensors. That said, can I run true duel exhaust, or do you recommend the “Y” pipe like the set up shown here? Please advise. I know there is some type of flow formula/science out there, but not too sure about it.

Hi guys nice out there just got a 22 refresh silverado, and looking forward to installing a flow master, I want it to sound nice any advice, is a 5.3 V8.

I love the sound of the 1st Silverado with the super 44 my 04 sierra has that same growl when you hit it i got the super 40 single in dual out with 3 1/2 angle cuts angled toward the ground sounds perfect too

My 94 GMC Sierra k-1500 4x4 Z71 has only a Thrust muffler and it sounds pretty gd. But I'd like to get something better maybe the super 40 or super 44 series. My truck does not naturally come with dual exhaust... Whats your professional option on converting to dual exhaust like you had done on one of these trucks...?? Thanks on advance

Okay so it’s on and I love it! Still wouldn’t mind it being louder but people will be upset if I go louder. I’m satisfied with the flow master fx.

I just got one installed. Is it normal for water to leak at weld? Possible condensation?

The flowmaster fx part number do not much up! One on Amazon is 71419, not 71416. Trying to get one on my 10 Sierra 5.3

I’m putting the Flowmaster Flow FX Dual Exhaust on my 23 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road. A Magnaflow sounds better on a V8, but the Flow FX sounds better on a V6

I've had 44 series flowmasters on single and dual and in my opinion on a dodge ram 1500 with a 5.9l the single is louder especially brand new lol once broken in it mellows out a bit but single was louder. Ive had a full Gibson exaughst with long headers on Silverado 6 liter with a single pipe and that sounded stock until you put your foot in it. I think diameter of the pipes makes a difference and dual pipes cuts down on the volume because its split but I'm no expert lol

Flow FX is more better sounds ! I like it.

I would love to see more about what’s the best for a 4.3l tbi! I had the flowfx but I never put it on because my truck had a 40 series knock off that I thought sounded like shit but I just had an exhaust leak lol. I think the fx probably would sound great on the 4.3l. I think I’ll just go dual super 10 knock off and see what happens. It’s only like $30 for 2 of them haha.

In my personal opinion, go with the true Flowmaster name and not a knock off because it does not sound anything like the Flowmaster. We cut off knock offs all the time and replace them with Flowmaster true products. Hope That helps

Flow FX and Super 10 sounded the best to me.

@@tygoodwin7179 how is it in sound comparable to a 350? I just got a 2017 with a 5.3 in it and want it to sound as similar to my 95 as I can, my 95 has long tube headers, true dual flow master 40s. Got 2.5 inch pipes and no cats or anything just pipe and muffler

Is there a difference between flowmaster 40 series vs flowmaster super 44? I have the 40 installed but I have 44 laying around

The 44 is a bit more aggressive than 40 but the idle on the 40 is louder than the 44

Opinions on MBRP??? I was looking at that so I can do it myself in my new 2021 Silverado 5.3. And I don’t want loud. Just nicer tone and matched with my cold air intake.

Do it! My buddy’s got one on his 5.3 2017 Chevy. I can send you videos if you got any social media. It’s super nice because it’s not insanely loud unless you get on the gas, but has a nice tone, and is a pretty affordable option.

I have a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Custom, don't know which I would get installed,..

I like the Super 40..I have a 2001 Sliverado 5.3 with a Full K&N kit, Super 40 with side exit, Arraid throttle body, Eldelbrock shorty headers, Excell wires & E3 sparkplugs..271K and will still roast the tires!!!

I have an 02 avalanche that I did a muffler delete on. Love the low tone and sound on acceleration. My neighbors don't like it starting up at 6am, however. Any ideas? Great videos and any help would be appreciated!

Got an ls4, chopped the driver side muffler off and left the other one on, perfectly balanced sound, hasn’t fucked my car up

I cant decide between super 10 or the flowFX

With the tailpipes angled like that , can there be an issue where mud and debri get into tailpipes???

Been watching this channel for weeks debating what to do? Got a 2020 Yukon really like the tone of the super 44 just worried it may be too loud in cab when kids watching their movie. If not super 44 will definitely do 40 series I think lol. Decisions decisions? Suggestions welcome.

Flow FX is better than all the chambered sounds.

The delta 40 with the resonator sounds quieter than stock.
