There are and you can find a good deal done by people who really care about what they're doing! My family is starting to find and purchase books of studies done on herbs, but all of the authors are total hippies. I said, if my herb specialist isn't wearing a tie dye bandana kissing a plant I don't trust him! Some of it's in conventional medicine but a lot of it is more alternative but nevertheless legitimate.

I’m of Danish decent, blonde fair haired lady age 57. I started 3 months ago using castor oil 2-3x’s/week on my hair. I have much less hair fall & my hair is starting to feel fuller & is shinier. I’ve also have been applying it to a fatty benign tumor above my knee. It was an inch & a half long & quarter inch wide. Castor oil packs night & day has reduced it to a third of the size at this point & has softened & dissolving the tumor so much! Maybe scientists who aren’t swayed by money should research castor oil. Then pray big pharma doesn’t try to get greedy & make castor oil expensive somehow. There are quite a lot of positive testimonies out there. I highly recommend using castor oil.

Same here. Resolved the eczema at the base of my scalp. I use it only once a week. I mix in an applicator 1 part olive oil and 3 parts castor oil. I apply to dry hair from my scalp to the ends of my hair. Then wear a shower cap, wrap a towel around my head and watch a movie or whatever for about 1/2 hr to hour. I then rinse, gently wash, rinse again and wash one more time. My hair is shiny and silky looking and has never looked better (I have highlighted hair that was over processed). I tried coconut oil as a carrier oil with it but I have sensitive skin and the coconut oil can be an irritant and it definitely was irritating to my scalp. Olive oil as a carrier oil works much better. Fast forward a month of using castor oil for my hair, and I can tell you with 100% certainly that it really does help with hair growth. I have fine baby hairs along my hairline that I haven’t had in years!!! I’m going to try it on my eyebrows now too. I’m in my 50’s now and what the heck is up with eyebrows getting sparse as you age???

almost two decades ago I started adding a small amount of castor oil (about a quarter size into my shampoo). You would think adding it into shampoo wouldn't really do anything and that you would be washing it out immediately but I read some anecdotal evidence supporting it for hair growith so I decided to try it. I remember after using it in my shampoo for about two months and then going to my hairdresser for a trim. She was astounded at my hair health and said I had baby hairs growing in everywhere. The castor oil was the only thing I could think of that I have done differently.

The dermatologist gave me a thick ointment that cleared it pup. Two weeks ago it started again, this time like a shawl covering my entire neck and on my chest! My neck was red and on fire! I had ordered a bottle of pure cold pressed organic castor oil so I used it. I pinned my hair up high on my head, I poured some in my hands to warm it up and used it on my neck, face, and eyes and slept on my back. The next morning, my neck was barely pink and no longer itchy! I used it for 3 days and I have no sign of eczema at all!

I've been doing castor oil packs for years for liver detox but I also use it on my skin. I'm 55 and it's helped heal a scar on my chest from skin cancer, when nothing else worked. I use it on my face, under my eyes where I have circles and on my eye lids for dry eye. It's helped immensely with all the above. I'm going to start using in on my bone spurs on my feet now. My MIL was a naturopath and used castor oil for SO many things. There aren't tons of studies because castor oil is not a money maker in the medical world. The use of it goes back thousands of years. There is so much to be learned from history with natural remedies, this is a very big one. It just happens to be amazing for your skin, the biggest organ on the human body.

Just use a band aid to cover it and change every AM and PM. My eyes have also benefited by eliminating the dry lines. I’m not middle aged yet but I am trying to prevent wrinkles. I slather it on my eye brows, lids, under eyes and temples. Goodness, it is so relaxing to sleep in. It’s extra thick but sinks in and I sleep on my back very well. It has made a huge difference in my eyesight. I no longer have sensitive eyes. Every morning I’m seeing clearer. Hoping it help with future degeneration of my eyes or help eliminate my nearsightedness also! This 100% pure hexane free castor oil from Kate Blanc cosmetics on Amazon is so cheap. Always get it in a glass amber bottle as castor oil is a strong carrier oil that’ll absorb plastic. It’s been a tremendous remedy for your gut, liver and aches and pains. I have been using castor oil on my skin for a couple of months now. I am 71 and don't think I could have used it 20 years ago. It would have been way too thick. Now, my skin is very dry and it seems to, for the most part, sink into my skin--not immediately but in a half hour or so. I really think my skin looks less dry since I started using it. In addition, I had a basal cell carcinoma on the side of my nose a couple of years ago. They surgically removed it using Mohs surgery but it resulted in a scar starting at the corner of my eye going to the corner of my nose--22 stitches. Every since then, that scar line has been extremely irritated looking and red. Since using castor oil, the redness is gone and it seems to have flattened pretty much completely. Anyway, it's a win for me.

I've been using castor oil for over 16 years all over my body. I was born with eczema, I've always had a bad dry, flacky patches and tectured skin. When my i visited my grandma when i was 17, she gave me a small bottle of castor oil to put mix with my acqeous cream. I never left that combo till now. Its the only thing that has ever worked. I cant believe a dermatologist never recommended me castor oil to try all these years.

Viscosity can be abated by simply rubbing a liberal amount of oil between hands: then lay hands on area to be treated, without rubbing. Repeat transfer process until all surface areas have been treated. This is a pretty gentle and effective way to apply the product, soaking into the skin relatively quickly. Really helps with inflammation and bruising as well as skin torments specifically around the eyes.
