The sounds of these awesome engines is the only music we need. Why do you spoil it?
I must agree that these engines have their own syncopation and rhythm. Being a musician I can hear these engines calling out for their own solo. No music required. Thanks for sharing!
For an engine lover the rhythmical sound of these engines, is Music.

@@IamScoHo Because it's a commercial channel. Video is stitched together by someone in Punjab. Then it goes to a different "stage" where a guy from Mumbay simply glues the music on. He just checks the volume levels. Then narration is added by an English speaking backpacker in Nepal. And none of those those people even open the video to watch it because they work for hundreds of channels making thousands of videos every month. Just wait, they'll soon do heart surgeries like that. Good for the bottomline. :-(

OH MY FUCKING GOD WE GET IT STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE FUCKING MUSIC! WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT ANYWAYS??? IT’S NOT LIKE IT THE MUSIC IS COVERING ALL THE OTHER DAMN NOISE. I honestly don’t mind about the music being in this video as long as it’s not an obnoxious song being played just as loud as the stock footage. The music in this video is quieter, and it’s mostly just calm classical music. BUT NOOOOOOO...WE DON’T LIKE ANY OTHER FUCKING NOISE IN THE WAY OF OUR STEAM ENGINES, BECAUSE STEAM ENGINES ARE OUR CATNIP FOR WHITE PEOPLE, AND GRRRRR NRRRRR NRRRRR FUCK MUSIC.
I've never seen a channel with this much agreement on the comments.
These old engines may look simple but for their time, they were super feats of engineering.
Though very old, I still consider these fricken awesome just considering the engineering and thinking it took to make and come up with things like this back then. We take our modern machines for granted. Man what a long way we have come...
It would be fun to run belts to all these engines, and have them turn a generator. It would be fun to hear what they sound like when loaded. Especially the hit and miss engines. They'll hit more often, if something slows them down between hits. The oil and kerosene engines might have a completely different sound, if they were opened up to drive a load. A generator, and a selection of loads could serve as a crude, old school dynamometer, to determine about how much usable horsepower they can really produce. I love these engines, they're old, dirty, and look like they're still in service, after so many years. I can't help but think that the engineers of these marvels would love to know that their engines are still hammering away after a lifetime of use.
FYI: Gear heads (the likely audience this video targets) want to listen to engines because 1) it gives them first-level of diagnostics while signaling what the engine is doing, and 2) they actually consider it music. Blaring background music over this kind of content is a production fail.
I am happy that these engines are well looked after even now. Kudos to the engineers sand all
My dad had about 100 of these engines at our house. I remember well helping him start the big ones, we had a 20HP, 25HP, and 35HP in the back yard.
I love old engines, especially steam powered ones. They are not only effective at what they did, but they also had style.
Having only one cylinder, it's cool being able to clearly see all the different strokes. So shockingly simple you can clearly see what every single moving part does.
Damn music. Engines make the music WE love.
I love watching all the moving parts of an old engine. Mesmerizing.
Amazing how engines improved thru the years
Kindly remove the aggravating background music so these mechanical marvels from a lifetime ago can be appreciated.

I suspect these top 5/10/20 etc. compilations are just looking to monetise views and have targeted old engines as they generate interest, without giving much of a thought about the content, or it's audience. Sure a little quiet background music might make the top ten ironing boards less painful to watch, but engines come complete with their own soundtrack which is best enjoyed by itself. The KZreadr created a great video, but the Audio was a bit like what I'd imagine the royal wedding would have been like if one of the guests brought a vuvuzela along.

I really adore the hot oil bulb engine in the last clip, very very early design to modern Diesel, you'll notice the early mechanically injected Diesel engines were indirect injection, concentrating all the compression and heat into a bulb to ignite the fuel spray! This is why early Diesels could run on cheap bio oils like the hot bulb engines, since the concept is the same!
Each has it's own voice as if telling a story about how hard they work. Wonderful video.
This music is comparable to the introduction of DEF fluid in the diesel world. Brutal.
The MUSIC messes with the amazing rythym of these engines!! No more background music please!

Душа радовается , безподобная мелодия работы двигателей глубокой старины , спасибо за такое кино
That old engines are awesome
Nice old machines.
I have to say the samething as other commenters so I will do it constructively. You loose the pleasure of seeing the early marvels in there prime with music, or you need to lower the volume so it's almost not heard. Video editing with a professional feel is an art within itself. Sometimes music isn't even needed. Other times, choice of track will make or break the video. The question you have to ask yourself is, what are you saying in the video -figuratively I mean what is the message -the story, if you add a backing track what is the backing track saying -...... Your inducing an emotional response to your video, does the music Ilisit the same feelings? It's an art.... Not everyone can do it....
Fascinating. I love the sound of the engines running.

Yeah fair point the music of the engines is enough
The music, or whatever it is, destroys everything.
Superb diesel engines 😀❤❤❤❤
The problem that seems to plague KZread producers is the same one that seems to occur in television documentaries where the music drowns out the dialogue. The sound engineers have egos that are way too big and seem to think that they know better than you what you should be hearing. They also never get any feedback on their "work product" or if they do, they seem to ignore it seemingly to think that their "production values" are not to be criticized or questioned.
Remove the music AND raise your voice man you sound scared to speak, with the music and the sound these magnificent antiques make I struggle and still barely hear you.
