her interpreter was supposed to interpret her Japanese language to English. But Miss Japan answered in French. She should have had a French interpreter.

@Tuan Vu the french line was pre-planned. She gave the same answer in Miss Universe Japan but her thanks in english really sealed the deal. The response became what it is because of her english portion which was totally spontaneous and sincere.

I think that was her mistake. When she replied in a different language, the translator could not translate what she said. So the judges didn’t understand what she said.

I was there in person. Zuleyke shone that night. And Miss USA WAS PRETTY TOO. RIYO MORI IS MUCH PRETTIER THAN Kurara. And I was present both pageants, Riyo was just everything during miss universe 07

That gown was not her final gown because her gown got malfunctioned.. She just borrowed that green gown from another girl and she improvise it by lowering the neckline and putting the other earings on thr middle part of the gown that adds the sultry looks.. That gown resembles to J.Lo's Iconic Green Versace gown as fashion expert says

She was the complete candidate that checked all the boxes. And for those that still believe that she won because of that dress, I bet that you can put that same dress on any other girl and it still won't look the same.

Paraguay gave the best answer here, but the translator couldn't do that much for her because they we're all saying so much in such a really short period of time. If Japan hadn't spoken in French (and then in Spanish) she would have been crown that year. Besides, her response to the support from the audience wasn't necessary at that moment. I still love her.

Recuerdo de verlo en vivo, que la máxima sentí era Japón... al verlo de nuevo, pienso lo mismo, pero creo que es de esos casos donde el vestido no ayudó (su pasarela tampoco) pero fué mas genuina, más fresca en su respuesta. Zuleyca si se veia de impacto, y su pasarela de muerte lenta.

What a strong top 10! I would’ve advanced Canada and Mexico (maybe Bolivia) over Paraguay and USA. Although Puerto Rico has so much stage presence, you can tell her face was overly done. She did not have the personality that Japan or Switzerland had. I would’ve crowned Japan this night, she won me over for her personality and Q&A.

I remember hearing these names and thinking, did they read the wrong list. It was nice to hear that they put Paraguay through after reading that her original dress and one of her earrings were missing. Personally sounds like someone took them. I would have put through Colombia, Mexico, Canada, Japan and Bolivia. I just didn't understand these choices that year. And people can complain that I didn't put Puerto Rico on here. I'm sorry, but I couldn't stand the gown, and just felt that others were better. It's just a personal choice

I still remember this pageant during this year. It was supposed to go to Miss Japan but they went with PR. People were pissssssed! And the following year they gave it to that year's Miss Japan when the popular one was Miss Korea. And then they went back to Spanish speaking countries again.
