Him and some others in the tank were the "lollipop guild" but he got bigger than all of them so I changed his name. I've had him since like 2007(?) so he's my dear sweet megaman because he's big old boy. Him and my goldfish (separate tanks) are competing in size at this point. j03yYunG Aquariums Just an average little dude - I would guess a common pleco. I don't think I was feeding him enough, because when I gave him some cucumber, he LATCHED onto that thing and STAYED there 😆 As soon as he let go (2 days later) I scooped it up and gave him a wafer, which he ate half of. Now he's back to sucking on surfaces. He really likes this clear blue mason jar - inside and outside. My water quality is good, but the pH was high, so I put in a balancing conditioner my friend recommended. I will stay tuned to your videos fir sure!

Jeez, he loves his lettuce! I have only tried romaine, but every time he demolishes it. He also took to the cuke immediately. He's not as psyched about the wafers, but he'll eat them. He's grown a bit, looks great. His tank gets no direct sunlight, so there isn't a huge amount of algae for him. Any advice about portions? Like, one veggieand one wafer a week?

My goldfish get to the bristlenose catfishes wafers before they do! I've tried feeding the wafers at night in the dark but the goldfish are too smart. They all love frozen veg from a packet (corn, carrot, peas, beans mix. Blanched cucumber and broccoli are a hit with them all too - the catfish will defend the cucumber from the goldies! Jay I boil my zucchini slightly then put it in ice water to stop cooking and let it sink. Once done I put the Zucchini in the tank and it sinks to the bottom. It’s also softer for the fish to eat. I saw this on another KZread video and it seems to work for me, plus I don’t have to deal with weights. The only downside is it breaks up faster and can make a mess in the tank.

Feed the goldies first and get the algae discs that are bigger than the goldies' mouth. Goldies are omnivore piggies. They eat everything.
