I am certainly the Design Collector. I am currently sprucing up my home with some fresh pieces, and that one picture flaunting the bouclé sphere cushion just screams me. That is not to say that I do not love pieces from the other styles, though. It is all about finding and mixing pieces to work for you and to create something bespoke and majestic. Go forth, you stylish darlings! 😘

I’m 75 & I LOVE warm, cozy interiors. Everything I own is warm, mostly wood, natural stone & ceramic/tile. It’s not modern like yours, but it makes me happy every day. After all, isn’t that what we all want to feel going through life?

After spending my youth in my parents home of collections (married since 1958 and still going) I love the “less is best”. I refuse to spend my life dusting knickknacks and bumping into crowded furniture. Love all the styles but I’m leaning toward the collector. If it doesn’t speak to me, I don’t want it.

I love the Japanese homebody/Japandi styles and I think low furniture looks incredibly cozy and sexy, but I could never go for it. I can handle getting down, but I'd be worried about older relatives coming to visit and feeling uncomfortable in my home!

I love the Japanese look but it is so hard to execute especially on a budget. I completely agree that it's more of an all or nothing thing. It's something you have to do from when you get your first apartment, it's hard to transition to that look.

Design collector for sure - we lived without proper lighting in our dining room for 6 months before I found the perfect light chandelier from Italy and got a whole group of friends together to install it. I feel pure joy every time I turn the light on 👌🏻♥️

i am of the 'brutalist' kind of minimalist in structures, like walls, and floors, oooh i'm a sucker for industrial concrete looking floor, and i loooooooove those shattered concrete pieces like side tables or counters/furniture that are made of concrete looking materials and/or grey stones, and acid washed mirror tiles, even with a splash of color in the 'structure itself' like corroded copper tiles or panels, also dark walls and high ceilings, whilst having more modern/glam in the furniture itself, in light colors and greys , and like brass or shiny brushed metal pieces like mirror frames, faucets, shower, handles and chandeliers etc. and some cozy elements like fluffy and faux fur and blankets in neutral tones to contrast with the 'cold and dark' elements of the structure itself, oooof i love those...

You could do a more modern version and get the square look but instandard height stuff...this is my plan...allso have higher ceilings to give the illusion that the future is not so big.

I found a label I well deserve: the design collector, thank you! What comes in my house, must be the fruit of a long lasting investigation and mature thinking, which makes me and my husband fight over when or if we ever have glasses of wine, plants, curtain in the kitchen door and so on🤪

I feel like minimalism is different when you have kids. My home is very simple, no fancy designer pieces, but I really thought about everything. I made scale mock-ups of the rooms before I bought anything and I've made some very simple art myself. Now I really love it. I'd say it's warm minimalism with some Japanese touches.

Definitely, it's the design collector I Love! I Hate the declutter addict style - it's so unpersonal & Cold! When a place has no warmth or personal feel, it does not feel inviting or comfortable to be in it for long. I like feeling the warmth of wood & the interest of stone & artistic pieces of furniture that make a place feel cozy & interesting. I love incorporating the garden in to the design, like that of the Japanese style; but the whole place w/only low down furniture, wouldn't work for taller ppl living in the space, or their taller guests. I actually love having taller counters in the kitchen & bathrooms. Altho I'm 5'5" in height (not tall, just mid-height), the shorter countertops make my neck & back hurt, working at them for any length of time. I lived in a home for several years that was designed in the mid century syle of the late 50s early 60s, very much like the Mad Men TV show; but all the countertops were made shorter, & it bothered my back & neck in using them.

I'd like a fusion of the look and feel of a hippie beach house with worn down washed out light woods and decluttered japandi with all doors of the sliding kind, lots of shades of white and some soft natural pastel/greyish shaded. That would be my dream home. I also like it to look 'grown naturally/organically over time' and not look like everything - to the tiniest decorative candle holder - had been thought out. Like some prefab order of 1 interior, fork out big bucks and BAM there is your perfect interior. I am a perfectionist in many things but in interior design it somehow puts me off intensely. The imperfections are what is making the general feelway more 'soulful' to me.

I love love love the Japanese style, but my partner would never go for it! Our house is more like the collector one, but with more rich colours and on a budget. Our furniture is all kept very sleek and simple, mostly in black wood, and decor is all in very bright greens, pinks and oranges.

I always liked the Japanese but at the same time it takes a lot of dedication and for some reason it feels 'cold'. The scandi because it is more like earth tones, wood and more organic shapes it feels more at home in a way. Design collector I like it for small items. Like if you have a designer home nothing will be special to someones eye but if you have a showstopper couch and normal furniture all around it, it will create a nice vibe and make it the center of the room
