hi I just got the skyline xl as usual I am questioning if they were the right size. I have to wear glasses so they fit over them well and fit with my helmet but I have a normal not large sized head. do you think the xl gogles still the right call

Hi Z Boy! Based on the described head size i'd say the XL is the right call. But if part of the fitting issue pertains to wearing your glasses, then you should definitely check out/ opt for our Prescription Goggle Inserts! 👉www.sportrx.com/smith-prescription-snow-goggle-insert.html Not only is it far more comfortable, you'll also get a wider viewing perspective without the intrusive frame getting in the way. The Squad Mag is not considered an OTG compatible goggle. Mainly due to it's cylindrical lens shape, which can come into contact with the frame when worn beneath. The much better alternative is a SportRx Insert! 👇 www.sportrx.com/smith-prescription-snow-goggle-insert.html

So is the technology of the lenses the same for all the goggles?

Hello! Smith's ChromaPop lens tech is available on all of thier premium goggle models, like the Mag Series. However, it's excluded on some of the more budget friendly options like the Frontier model. www.sportrx.com/smith-squad-mag-snow-goggle.html www.sportrx.com/smith-frontier-snow-goggle.html

Hello! It should fit you well with maybe a hint of an oversized look about it, but overall it should match your head size if you're a medium. 👉 www.sportrx.com/smith-squad-mag-snow-goggle.html 🔥

Definitely would love to see the lens interchange while wearing the goggle, up-close. My situation is that where I ride, there's just a gondola and while waiting for the next one I usually pop the lens off my Anons with one hand, while holding my board with the other, in a densely packed shuffling queue, to put it in a pocket to keep from fogging up. I've heard only rave reviews of Smiths but if I have to stop, put the board away, take my gloves off, and use both hands just to unlock and pop the lens off, and then the same again at the top to pop and lock it back in… these may not be for me. :\ I can also imagine getting to the top of a hike and having to change the lens cause a storm came in and with frozen fingers fiddling with a lock mechanism. But I don't know. How fiddly is it? No video I've seen has really clearly and slowly and intently shown how it works.

Id say the Squad Mag and 4D mag have the best least “fussy” lock mechanism that you could conceivably use while the goggle was still on, while i don’t think the locking system for the I/O mag system would’ve doable

that being said I ski the I/O mag and the locking system is really easy you just probably couldn’t do it while it’s still on your face, but I’ve never tried it.

Spherical is not the shape of a human eye, toric is. I expect better from sportrx.

A human eye gives the sharpest vision when it is perfectly spherical, that is, round like a basketball. However, the surface of the area of the eye where light enters is toric, oblong in shape like a football. Hope this clears up any confusion!
