I live in Japan😄🙏In the summer we get high humidity in the spring up to 80% at times and the hoyas grow super fast. In midsummer they rest because it's too hot and go dormant in the winter here when the humidity is 30% or lower, but days bright and sunny. 🤗💖Anyway I wanted to share. Have a great day☀️😌

That's awesome!! I'm originally from Hong Kong and it's pretty warm and humid in the summer too. I bet the Hoya would love it there too. 😅

we stayed off of 47th close to the train, and the Golden Gate Park. The ocean was beautiful! this was 2 summers ago, it was my 1st time in San Fransisco. my slowest large leaf is a Hoya rigida (sp. Thai 3) I cut one cutting that and that has shown lots of growth, but my 2 ft. momma plant has not shown any other movements, it's green and alive. Just love those large leaves!

I love your videos! I don't have these hoyas (yet..😜) but I have issues growing Hoya sunrise, danumensis, and variegated kentiana. Thanks for sharing plant friend 💚

Have you ever tried spraying them with orchid fertilizer? I don’t have any really rare Hoya but spritzing them occasionally with orchid spray boosts or seems to create growth points.

My clemensiorum has two leaves, and since I got it in August it has grown - then dropped - six more leaves. Most drop at about 1 centimeter long, but one made it to almost 5 inches before suddenly turning rust colored and falling off, and all this inside my ikea greenhouse I am at the point of not really seeing any point in having it in my collection. If it were not a gift from my spouse, I would trade it for something more rewarding.

How is this plant doing now? Sounds like it probably had flat mites. If you still have it, and it’s still doing this then treat it with sulphur. If it’s no longer with you, then disregard my comment hehe

@@megshush Once I put it in a humidity cabinet, it gave lots of new growth which did not drop. A side note - I did treat my entire collection with sulfur, and just wrapped up the eight week treatment last Sunday.

In my opinion all variegated hoya grows significantly slower than those two in my collection

I just got my Hoya clemensiorum and is in sphagnum moss. Don’t want to loose this beauty and will like to know the ratio of the soil you use. I have some of my Hoya in the mixture I make , some in leca and some in lechuza pon

I just follow my regular watering schedule, which is about every 7 to 10 days. This schedule is established based on my experience growing in my own environment of course.

My svetlana grows normal for me. I have 3 growth points in one month. But chicken farm and grey ghost and sarawak are my top 3 of slowest Hoya.

It's not a fast grower at all in my experience. I mean she's not exactly hard to care for, but she just sit there and take her sweet time ro grow one new leaf every 6 to 8 months. 😅

Hi Amanda have you ever used soil in your hoya ? Do you apply fungicide? Do you grow other plants other than hoya?

Hi!! Yes! I mix in some cactus soil in my Hoya mix. I apply fungicide when necessary. I also grow some aroids, Peperomia, rhipsalis, begonia etc. too, but I would say 80% of my plants are Hoya =)
