Love seeing the Falcon rod. HQ is 1.5 miles down the road from me. Broken Arrow. Great video Nathan. Can attest Dobyn’s as well. Love their BFS rod in the Sierra line.

Definitely great rods!

I started bass fishing with a 6’5” ML spinner that someone gave me. I added 13 Fishing M/F and MH/F spinners. 10:58 My first bait caster was the white Bass Pro MHF with 7.5 Pro Qualifier reel. Good job on this on again Nathan

My first bait caster was a 7'3 medium heavy. I have a spinning rod that's like a 6'6 ugly stick. But my next purchase is gonna be the medium 7 foot spinning rod for Shakey heads top water and jerk baitd

Which Falcon Bucoo model? From what use you’re describing I’d recommend the Head Turner. Rated as a heavy but more like a MH+. I use it for MB Mag Drafts and light frogging, has a nice moderate/fast rating and a limber tip which is what I like for a lot of applications.

Hi Nathan, I’m curious how old your Fury 703c is. I have the same rod, but mine feels like a MH. I have a Favorite Whitebird in MH, however, that definitely feels like a medium. Btw, those MHX blanks are nice blanks. I just built my first MHX. Like it a lot.

I have loved building my own rods and my fury is about 5 years old

I mostly do bank fishing on big reservoirs in NY state. Just got my first baitcaster after this video, but wondering if I should opt for something like 20lb braid to fluoro instead of straight 15lb flouro to increase my casting distance? All my spinning gear is 10lb braid to fluoro

The dobyns I was showing would technically be a heavy but other manufacturers a medium heavy
