These things are great, even if you are not a DJ or into hip-hop. As a rock guitar player, I love using these to write music. Great review! Sorry to discover these so late :)

    Sorry for the late reply. 😔 Glad you enjoyed the video though. For your very FIRST PO, I would either go with the PO-33 KO, PO-20 Arcade, or PO-28 Robot. I feel like any of the 3 would be great mainly because they are all pretty self contained grooveboxes. They can have multiple sounds playing at once which enables you to build a fuller more complete sounding jam. (Eg. Chords, bass, drums, melodies, etc)

    When you connect a speaker to a PO it automatically drops the volume. Press and hold the BPM button and note the lights on the 16 number keys. These indicate the volume setting. All lights on is the highest volume. I usually set mine to 12 or 13. I have a range of cheap bluetooth speakers and my POs work fine with all of them. My favourite is a Blaupunkt BPS-2 which costs about £20. I apologise if you already knew about the volume setting.

  • @littleBIGsynths

    @littleBIGsynths

    5 жыл бұрын

    You will need an audio interface. The audio interface will take the analog audio signal from the synths, then convert them into a digital signal that your computer/daw will be able to understand. The audio interface will typically have 1/4" inputs, but the Pocket Operators/synths have 3.5mm outputs... so you will need cables/adapters that go from 3.5mm to 1/4". Signal flow: Synth audio OUT --> Audio Interface USB OUT --> Computer. Hope that makes sense. 🙂

    Definitely! I used a Behringer UCA202 for awhile and it worked perfectly. www.amazon.com/dp/B000KW2YEI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_41STT689EPSS3EMZCZ9W You will need a 3.5mm TRS to RCA cable/adapter and you will also need a USB to USB-C (or microusb for older phones) adapter to connect the interface to your phone. Another option would be to invest in a digital handheld recorder a.k.a field recorder. Something like the Tascam DR-05. www.amazon.com/dp/B07N3FC7N3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_KGPWR6CJTMXV8ETZM8XD A cheap(er) handheld recorder like this will allow you to record directly into it, onto an SD card. You can later transfer the recordings to your computer/phone. And if you want to go "pro"... lol check out the Zoom H6 or H8. www.amazon.com/dp/B089FLQ7M3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_3FH480DX041HV99VZ327 These recorder allows you to simultaneously connect and record multiple devices with separate audio files per device. Which is really handy for further editing on a computer/DAW. As a bonus, these handheld recorders can also act as an audio interface, which means they can also send the audio directly to your phone/computer via USB. Anyways, there are definitely a few options out there... Hope some of this helps. 🙂 Thanks for watching. 🙌

I think they both offer a bit different approach to achieve results. I hope that makes sense. Oh, man... I love them all. Lol 🤔 I have been enjoying the Arcade, KO, and Tonic. Probably my favorite 3 at the moment. If I had to travel with just 1 PO, it would be between the K.O and Arcade... simply because they can cover bass lines, chords, drums, and lead melodies. They are like tiny little grooveboxes. 👍

    voist magina definitely go with the K.O! It’s like the Arcade except it’s not limited to that chiptune sound and you can record samples with it. It’s 30 bucks more though, mostly due to the mic

    Mine won’t stay on ordered two already. Cuts off when I turn the volume up or slightly touch the battery with my finger

    It could possibly be a simple fix. Maybe. Lol 😏 #1: Remove the batteries #2: Gently squeeze/bend the the metal battery contacts together. **be careful not to bend them too much! #3: Make sure you have brand new batteries Hopefully this works for you. It works for me every time I run across this issue. 👍

    You should check out the official site: teenage.engineering/store They are also sold at a lot of other places online: Amazon.com, sweetwater.com, perfectcircuit.com, reverb.com, etc. The prices vary depending on the unit, anywhere from $49.00 to $89.00 USD. There are also bundle deals on where you get multiple devices/accessories in a single package. Thanks for watching. 🙂👍

    so what youre saying is they have good build quality but they dont even have a case because they wanted to cut costs that sounds like two opposites to me.

    Yeah, its crazy! 😄 You'd have to pick one up to experience it for yourself... but the components used to build these things are definitely high quality. 👍 Hope you enjoyed my video. 🙂
