I admit I missed a lot.. yes it's true that when I study the Word, when I prophesy,it's always those scriptures that popped up in my heart.. prophetic ministry should be so anchored in the Word of God so that we will not be prophesying out from our imagination. I admit my mistakes... this teaching caused me to humble myself in the Lord. Thank you Lord! Thanks Pastor David!

Dear David, I put off watching this teaching because I did not think it would apply very much to my own life. As it is, I don't consider myself to have the gift of prophecy. But knowing that it was on your heart and that I have decided to support this ministry, I thought better of it and watched it today. It was a beautiful reminder of why I decided to take a chance and support a media-driven ministry although I am blessed to already be a part of a Spirit-filled church congregation. The prophetic is a deep mystery. Truly I think it all needs to come from God. As someone in the prophetic, sometimes I don’t even know why God says something for someone. But once the word is delivered, there is a relation or recognition by the person. This can happen several times in a service.

There were prophets that received words from God that were not written in book but yet it was true prophetic work...best test is who is glorified and does it fulfill the will of God

@JrLovePLL12 yes of course that is what it meant does it fulfill the will of God, but I can prove things that comes true doesn’t always mean it was a God word, example a prophetic word to someone such as one day soon you will get married, then that person goes out and marries someone that day, it could have been a self fulfilling prophecy but not a God one, or could have been God, that's why we really need to know what voice is speaking...best way to discern who is glorified and is it Godly love motivated

Other religion believers can also predict things that will happen in the future. Some of them are very accurate and very details. How do you explain that. Some can be accurate but they may come from other sources. The motive of prophesying is vital and should be tested.

I'm really desperate of messages such as this. After I had spoken a prophecy once in our church.. one of my spiritual leaders confronted me on the approach on the gift of prophecy..I thanked the Holy Spirit for leading me into understanding more of this gift through my spiritual leaders..being grounded of the Word, be willing to be guided by spiritual leaders and most is your walk to God(work out your salvation) in prayers and His word.

Is the issue more so preaching/prophesying out of personal revelations (which I agree is wrong) or is the issue receiving a maybe non contextual word from a passage but one that is meant to speak to you in your intimate time with God. I attempted to make a small one time donation .... too much personal information was required of us in accord with policy .... I would not ask any one for more info than needed to make a rare donation .... if you run out of gas , I will fill your tank , no questions asked .... I needed to hear your message without any unnecessary angst to follow .... Encounter TV should take into account that I know I am speaking for many others , and Y*all may be losing the trust of some one who needs that alone ....

I find it really kinda disturbing when it sounds like people are preaching unique sounding things. One time I was listening to a sermon that says Psalm 91 is old covenant and doesn't apply to us anymore 😯. I also heard that Apostle Peter or John (now I forgot which of them) was apparently burned it in hot oil and it couldn't destroy him. It was kinda like anointing. Hot oil, hot anointing 😦

Hi, I was delivered from new age. Jesus appear to me. I wanted to know if getting attuned to others is something from God like feeling nauseous and losing sleep and then talking to someone next morning and finding out they were going through the same thing but worse than what I experienced.

I think it's gift of healing & a prayer intercessor in one. I have this too & the pains feel like mine until I realise who's pain it really is & either lay my hands on them & ask for healing or pray in secret to the Lord for the healing.

I’ve sat in many services where the speaker has said that they’re no longer going by their notes but by the leading of the Holy Spirit. I never thought to question it. Is there ever a time when it would be okay?

Hey Sarah 😊. I think ultimately we must listen to how the Holt Spirit may stir up our consciences as we listen. No matter how the message is taught, it should never at any time deviate from the Lord's Word.
