Loved the video. Straight forward no Bs
I buy into avgo. Good company, building, great dividend and also a growth play.
What site is giving you the screen shot of SMH? I like the layout of it.
This is well done and I only wish you would’ve included FSELX It is a semi conductor Mutual fund from Fidelity I’ve had it for a long time and have over 50 grand in it It’s expense ratio is almost double of XSD however the returns are exactly the same How do I do this over again several years back I would’ve went with the XSD But that is in hindsight and except for the recent downturn this fidelity fund has done very well and it will go back up just like all the other ones I think that the semi conductor fund Will pay off tremendously between now and five years from now
I have a handful of semiconductor stocks. I believe Nvidia has quite a bit steam ahead with datacenters, self-driving cars, and AI. Usually a good call to grab an ETF though.
I was looking into Intel JJ but after your video you bring a valid point about single stocks in this sector will be waiting for your undated video on your choice Thanks for great content as usual 💪

Second!! I almost bought SCHD with the dip today but held off last minute... saw it was $69 and it was so tempting 😆

@@ryanmarocki LOL - I'd be lying if $69 wasn't my entry point target for Spotify. Strictly because it's a non-profitable tech stock so why not start at 69? :D

I have been burnt two times by sector specific ETFs. On paper it seems to make sense because if a sector is down or if it gets hot you assume the ETF provides some opportunity. The two that turned me off to it was idrv (electric vehicles) and some sort of streaming services ETF. In reality what happened was they had such a broad range of individual stocks in their basket that some were going up some that were going down regardless of how the sector was doing. So best case scenario things were flat and the value whittled away from what I assume was however the persons running the funds take their cut. I only go into market index etfs now.. I recall at some point a very smart Admiral when asked about sector Etfs was quoted as saying "It's a Trap!"

idrive etf and streaming? first off streaming is not a good investment imo, and idrive will probably explode 10 years from now.
My top semi-conductor stock is Texas Instruments TXN

How do the returns compare? Same as soxx? Been looking at it for awhile. The lack of volume is concerning though.

@@fitbh703 For years SOXX started out the same way, low vol and AUM. SOXQ is growing. There is at least an 80% overlap between the two etfs.
