Idris and Jonathan is trying to keep to the topic whereas Julian’s definition of a poor petrolhead is honestly not poor at all. Julien should have suggested a Used Civic Type-R (FD2R) or even a Used Evo 9 since the annual depre is definitely within his definition of a poor petrolhead. 😅🙊🤦🏻‍♂️

Every time when it comes to this type of "choosing car segment", I always lean towards Idris' choice, and I can see that Jon's choice are not what the other 2 enjoy 😂😂😂

I'd suggest the used Hyundai i30 Turbo, under S$9k depreciation for a 1-year old car, with DCT and warranty. Plus, turbo cars are easily tuned to stage-1or additional 20bhp for under S$700. Besides, any true petrolhead would love the sounds BOVs and wastegates make. With down-payment of $25k and about $900 monthly.

Guys could u suggest a manual car for petrolhead since there are not alot in Singapore. Thanks !

The perodua aruz is now avail to buy in sg,it cost less than 100k and also is rwd(except that it is new and not used)

i would put golf7 TSI as one, the depre about the same as swift sport. but lower road tax with that extra power of turbo. it is also more spacious for a hatchback.

This episode couldn't have come at a right time, Just scrap my car and thinking if i should get another since I'm working from home....

Considering broke and petrolhead-Idris's list is the best but I have to admit that the IS is also to be considered. Bulletproof.

I suggest the Mazda RX-8, used to drive one about 10 years ago. Can get one now at around 6k depre, low road tax, fun rotary engine best of all rear wheel drive!

Does anyone knows what does the term "facelift version" means?

Probably would go for a COE car 325i convertible with a depre of arnd 6 - 6.5k

Hey Dwight, I think you're referring to our In-Vehicle Unit. It's used in Singapore to read prepaid cards to pay for expressway tolls and carpark fees. - Jay

Idris's list got a petrol drinker in the form of WRX while Jon got a lexus and Julian got a VW.. I dun noe if they know the meaning of broke.. 😂

Because that's what really matters. Full price in dollars have too many variables to compare with each other.
