Yes. It did. I long for that type of team again for our organization. Hopefully 2021 will be the year. We have been waiting now for 26 years to win our 6th Super Bowl Championship. I pray to God that this year the wait will finally be over.

@Darrien Criner yes we can give him that much credit. How often did Romo have a great defense? Dude put up 500+ yards and 5 TD’s against Denver but the problem is Manning had similar numbers. Something that was all too common w our past defenses. The front office didn’t give Romo enough help

I knew it would be Aikman to Harper in the coffin-nailing moment in the NFC Championship game in January of 93. It was such a big moment, the stakes were so crazy high, and that moment represented the exorcising of the demons of the 1981 season's NFC championship game when Montana beat them wish and prayer toss to Clark.

I remember watching many of these live. The 2 that stick out most in my mind was the 1979 last season game victory, the pass to Hill which sent us to the playoffs and it was also Staubachs last career regular season game before he retired. The 2nd one was the pass to Harper in the 92 championship game. That was the play that sent us to the superbowl. I believe it was 1st down and Johnson called a real ballsy play there. I was shocked. That actually was the spark that created THE DYNASTY !

    - White to Pearson late TD game winner (2nd White to Pearson TD in 4th Q) 1980 Playoffs v. Atlanta. - #20 belongs in Top 10. Staubach's last regular season TD & win, during all-time great game. - All-Time play that almost was: White to Pearson over the middle for 35 to mid-field, 1982 4th Q, NFC Title Game, the very next play after SF's The Catch. Only a handful of jersey stopped Pearson from scoring the winning TD and erasing The Catch from the history books.

The heartbreak of that SF game was that the very next play after the Pearson catch Danny fumbled the snap and SF recovered the football. And that was all she wrote. They only needed another 10 or 15 yards to get to field goal range and had plenty of time and 4 downs to do it in. Somewhere there is an alternate universe out there where Dallas kicked the game winning field goal with no time on the clock and went on to trounce Cincy in the SB that year. Makes me sad that I'm not living in that one...

That Aikman to Harper slant would be my favorite single play in Cowboys history, although that series by Emmitt Smith when he ran the ball down Buffalo's throat right into the end zone, sets off a Tsunami of goosebumps every time I watch it. Tony Romo's play against the Rams always gets me hyped... but I got to give it to LARRY ALLEN!!!!????" That has got to be the most spectacular athletic effort I've ever seen for a man his size, going from a standing stop, to full sprint to chase down that Saints LB and prevent a TD. It would have been neat to see Harper run all the way for a touchdown. Until Martin scored the touchdown after that, I was pretty nervous watching this game towards the end.

Marion Barber's two yard run is one of the 15 greatest runs in NFL history, it should have been higher on this list. That's my only quibble. Good to see a clip of Bullet Bob Hayes in here.

Could have had Kelvin Martin's 1991 punt return against the Eagles in Philly. This sealed the victory and got the Cowboys back into the playoffs after a long absence.

Matthew W Yeah a lot of people say that, but they forget Cowboys held the lead the entire game. Only reason Steelers came close was because of poor officiating and a surprise onside kick, that made it a one possession game. Cowboys were the better team, and regardless Neil O’Donnell wasn’t a very good qb anyways 😂😂😂.

Gots to be honest. Roger will forever be and many, many others favorite player of all-time. I've remained a cowboy fan for that fact and that alone. When our #12 gets drafted to Big League in the sky (Don't worry, he'll be starting). My patience with the current ownership will have run out if there are no championship runs.

I’m a a Romo homer all day long but there were too many big consequential plays during the 90s to leave off this list. Although Romo seems like the cowboys quarterback I’d most like to have a beer with and I really enjoyed watching the Romo era cowboys, I think leaving off some of the 90s big plays during division battles especially was a big miss here.

My favorite Dallas Cowboys play is in the 2007 NFC divisional game, when Tony Romo threw a perfect pass to RW McQuarters in the end zone to end the Cowboys playoff hopes against the New York Giants. 🇺🇸😎

How about them Cowboys!! I remember watching all those games even Roger Staubach's Era. I've been a fan since I was born in 65' and even went to their last game at the Cotton Bowl before they went to Texas Stadium. When they use to black out the games because the tickets sales didn't fill the stadium, my family went to Lake Texoma to watch the Cowboys. There may bepeople with more merchandise than me, but I've got a bigger heart than they do. GO COWBOYS GO!!

The number one pick was spot on. I had that at number one before I watched this. It came at a time when the game was close and hard fought on the road just in time to suck the air out of Niners' lungs. One of my all time favorites! If you want to be the best you have to dethrone the best and that is what they did on this day. Packers never dethroned the Cowboys (so we will put an asterisk next to their Super Bowl), only the official did in the game against the Niners when Deion interfered with Michael Irvin.

Aikman to Ismail should be at or near the top. The story line of that game was compelling. Dallas was 21 points down to the Redskins in the 4th quarter. On the road against their nemesis. Aikman engineered the TDs to force OT and then that bomb to Rocket Ismail through blown coverage to win the game. That was 20 plus years ago and I still remember scraping my knuckles on the ceiling from jumping in ecstasy. Probably my all time favorite play along with the 1979 game (Staubach to Hill) that sent the Cowboys into the playoffs as NFC East Champs and eliminated hated Washington.
