Why exactly is Alexander Nikishin nowhere to be found in this video? The dude holds the KHL record for u22 points with 55 points last season as a 21 year old DEFENSEMAN, which beats out 21 year old Kaprizov who had 51 points and 20 year old Tarasenko who had 47 points. Nikishin’s 55 points also puts him 3rd in KHL history for defenseman scoring. Dude absolutely OBLITERATED the league on a never seen before scale for his age group and yet nobody ever talks about him!? He’s also very strong defensively and he’s got a BIG frame at 6’4 216lbs.

Come Playoffs and Memorial Cup, Lambert's only problem solving ability was to get the puck to Guenther or Korchinski as fast as humanly possible. When he couldn't do that, he was completely and utterly neutralized. He really did not look good beyond skating. edit: yeah, Kulich should be in that spot and Lambert probably shouldn't even be an honorable mention.

@@GravitehHockey Wish you would've mentioned specifically why Nazar's post-draft development was inconsistent though Dude got hip surgery and when he returned, his most important skill, skating, simply didn't look 100%. It didn't even look 80% of what it was in his draft year. He'd probably be somewhere on this list had he been healthy though so an honorable mention is pretty fair.

Scott Wheeler of the Athletics, is a reporter/journalist. He hasn't watched Reinbacher all year long in Europe. Anyways, i don't care, these rankings don't mean anything. These kids are 18 lol. We'll see in a few years

The Ducks have done a great job overall with their drafting lately. I think if it was a top 50 list they could have several players up there. They might not have the very top end of the prospects currently but the depth they have in the pool might be the best in the NHL for now.

it’s 2023, in his most recent 11 tournament games he posted 1 goal and 3 assists, and his KHL numbers are 9 goals and 13 assists in 43 games. Also he is not outscoring ovechkin in the khl, ovi has 19 goals and 21 assists in 31 games.

Its always great to see the Canucks are never able to get into a top 25 prospect pool. This is not only your analysis but many others who rank upcoming superstars. I really don't understand how the Canucks pass up on Benson and take Willander. I know they need right hand D and from all the reports out there Willander would have gone much lower. They could of packaged their number 11 and gone further down and had 2 picks in the first round and still get Willander. They had Benson there to take and passed on him. Just like they had Matthew Tkachuk and took the position they absolutely needed in Juolevi. That worked out fantastic!

What about dustin wolf? The guy has won 4 straight goalie of the year awards 2 in the whl the 2 in the AHL.

When you draft and rank prospects its not just what they are now, its what you can become. Nemec played a more mature game and had a higher floor but pretty easy to see a lower ceiling. Jiricek was a guy that would take a bit of time and had to fill out but has shown more already than expected early. Jiricek was every bit as good at Nemec at the WJC and was at the same level in the AHL until half the team got called up to Columbus but at the same time it was a valuable learning experience

I got used to Grav giving zero credit to European players... At least 8 players on this list are not better than Kulich. It's not just his skating and shot. He has great compete level and his defending got so much better this year. Maybe his potential is not that high, but I can absolutely see him becoming 2nd NHL centre with solid career
