I was about to comment, but I see others picked up on the narrator's ageism. There are very talented people of all ages in this world! Age does not always equal no talent, and I found myself getting annoyed with the narrator. 😒

Regarding Lamar Odom - Basketball players often have issues because of their height, but the man also has a TBI and the fact he was able to attempt it was a miracle in and of itself.

The ageism coming from this video is mind blowing and actually quite insulting. There are PLENTY of dancers that are 40+ and dance as professionals. Age has NOTHING to do with it.

The cha-cha-cha is usually the standard dance of the first or second week of the season, which is when the weak contestants are shown in full view before being mostly kicked off.

age really has nothing to do with being able to ballroom dance. To whoever is doing the narration..I can't wait until you hit 45 and realize you have not even peaked yet. My pic you see is when I was in my 40's. Wayne Brady is 50 years old and he is doing just fine on this season of DWTS.

I turned 69 earlier this month, so I've been dealing with this ageist bulshit for a long time. I've been a gamer for decades and I'm in a gaming chat that is mostly people in their thirties and forties and it is not unusual for people to call me grandma and old lady and stuff like that. You would think by the time you're 40 you would be beyond that shit cuz you're getting old yourself, but unfortunately not!

She is well into her nineties and is so well known for her dancing that when the local library made a statue to honour her and her husband's fund raising money for a new building the statue is of them dancing. It's a fun statue with lots of 'swing' in the moment that is captured and their faces are full of joy. Dancing is not limited by age unless people allow themselves to stop moving. KZread is full of videos of people in their 80s who still dance better than most people ever will :)

Right? I'll be 42 and this is making me feel like I have one foot in the grave already! There are plenty of younger people who can't dance because their bodies just won't allow them to do it.

Each one of these people deserves credit for having the courage to dance on national TV and a live audience. It takes a lot of courage to get out there and do something you've never done before and get judged for it. And, in spite of the blatant ageism in this commentary, it seems that lack of experience and nervousness were to blame for the less-than-perfect performances.

When he actually gets a partner (he's been shifted to the troupe more than once, including the current season), they are older (Barbara Corcoran), forgetful (Lolo Jones), or both (Chaka Khan). He made the final with Evanna Lynch, and had a spectacular Freestyle, but it is clear DWTS production has no faith in him. Being the tallest of the pros doesn't help either.

LOL I don't watch the show anymore because I don't watch regular TV anymore, but I watch the show for many many years and Master P still sticks in my mind as the worst ever! I always feel bad for the pros paired with the bad dancers. They can’t choose they’re partners and you can tell they really tried to teach the celeb the moves. Some people just can’t learn no matter how many times you try to teach themz

I feel bad for Pasha too for the last three seasons (29, 30 & 31). How long a star lasts isn’t solely dependent on their ability to dance but also on fan votes. Carole Baskin didn’t have much of either. And while Christine Chu wasn’t a terrible dancer she wasn’t the best and I don’t know how well known she is or how big her fan base is. And then this year they gave him friggin Theresa Guidice. So it seems like he keeps being partnered with controversial people who don’t have a large fan base. He’s one of my favorite pros and I’d love to see him last longer than episode 3 for once.

You cant judge a dancer by their age! Lamar tried his best and he deserves credit fot that. It takes alot to even be on the show and let alone be put down because of his body stature. Truly makes me sick! Would any of us credits say we could do the same?????

I agree the constant remarks about age are unbecoming. A similar emphasis on gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual preference -- all of these would have caused You Tube to remove this video as hate speech. I know the point of the show is to get judged for your routine, but actually seeing so many of these celebrities get on here and try their best, and be good sports about it, is good enough for me. I don’t need scores, I got a kick out of this!

I think the celebrity should stop doing the cha-cha cha 😂 Also the number three pick. Although the dancing was bad one of the worst things about that was the destroying of the song was a god awful cover

I don't think ageism is that big a deal tbh, but this entire list is basically "this dance sucked because the person was old" which got tired real quick. The Steve Wozniak one I actually felt bad about. He looked like he was really trying and enjoying what he was doing, especially at 59 at that time.

The bottoms of all dance shoes are soft suede too, to make it easier to slide around.

Even though they didn't do well, you can see as they're dancing how much fun they're having and how happy they are and i think that's what really counts.

I draw the line of giving the stars credit for trying when they’re just being straight up difficult for no reason, like Kate, Mischa, and especially Master P. The pros just want to dance and have a good time and shouldn’t have to put up with that.

Did Stacy Keibler slip your mind? She was neck & neck with Drew Lachey in season 2, but a dreadful freestyle (Why did Tony choose disco?) cost her the mirrorball. Even though I'm a Jerry Rice fan, there was no way he should have been runner-up over Stacy. Also, Audrina from "The Hills" was shockingly good, but she was one of many victims of season 11's Bristol Palin effect.

The weird thing is, from my experience, the Cha-Cha isn’t that hard a dance to do. I’ve taken a few years of ballroom dance classes, and compared to some other dances, the Cha-Cha isn’t really that tough. Then again, while the moves themselves aren’t that hard, part of it is making it all look natural and fluid, and some of the ones here come off as stiff and robotic. I guess with many of these performances, it goes to show that if you have issues doing the Cha-Cha, it’s only going to get harder from there.

Carlson looked comfortable enough sitting while a hot lady dances around him

Although they’re not great dances, I still feel really bad when they get scores below a 5 :( they’re trying their best. I also find it unfair how they have to eliminate someone the very first week.. it gives them no time to redeem themselves!

I am just going to guess, is Kate Gosselin and Bristol Palin on the list. How Bristol got as far as she did is beyond me. Edit: YEP BOTH WERE THERE.

Ballroom dance is no joke. I give these celebrities credit for getting out there and trying it...trying it on NATIONAL TV. There are people of all ages that rock it, and others that just don't....stop picking on people for their years on the planet. Not everyone is a dancer...just like not everyone is a singer, artist, etc....give them credit for doing what most people won't attempt

Wow I remember watching Master P’s dance on the first week it was good for the role he did but the following week or so he did look off and I never thought he would be number one but I am glad it did. This was a good list especially as the list nears number one the dances got more cringing to watch

I give these stars props for coming on here and dancing and at least attempting to make it look professional. Yes they weren’t good but they tried. And if I heard age mentioned one more time, I was going to scream. There are plenty of young stars that have competed on here that sucked.

While the absolute worse performance is without a doubt Master P who also had an extremely bad attitude, one thing that I universally dislike about DWTS. Politics have no place in a dance competition. And that includes political commentators, such as Tucker Carlson.

They’re really not that hard, you just need to have rhythm and the ability to use your hips. I’d argue that the Viennese waltz and Argentine Tango are much more technically difficult!

These people are NOT professional dancers. They are not all going to be on spec, that is the point. It’s about taking them out of their comfort zone and getting them to do something different. I have to admit I think you were a bit harsh ☹️

I find it funny that these are mostly the Latin dances which are the hardest to do.

This is not about DWTS, but ageism. Go and watch videos of Ed Nava dancing. That dude is a grandfather, but still got moves, and boy, he's also easy on the eyes! No, there's nothing creepy about it, older people can be attractive.

I dont think age has anything to do with how you dance. A bad dancer is just a bad dancer no matter their age. Donny Osmond was 51 when he won the show, Alfonso riberio won in his 40s, Jennifer grey won at 50. lolo jones was young and fit, yet an awful dancer! Just think, if tucker Carlson competed now he'd probably win even though he was a terrible dancer given how his fan base grew in the years since he was on 😆

Most of them that actually didn’t dance well wouldn’t or couldn’t move their hips. I’m really surprised by David Hasselhoff. He’s clearly keeping up a good work out schedule. Maybe add some yoga now and then?

I could tell by this lady's tone of voice, that she loathes Tucker 😂 the way she talks about Billy Ray Cyrus's age, come on 45 is not that old, I could see her saying that if he was 65 but come on, and I don't get why people call him a country legend, the only song he was known for is achy breaky heart and in my opinion, that song sucked I mean every girl had a crush on him, including myself, but as for his music, it wasn't very good 🤷

Guys, you should be ashamed of yourselves… the ageism is all over this clip! My mother danced some and she loved dancing, she died at 55 due to lung cancer, my dad is 58, he loves to play the guitar and writes songs as he even likes to dance sometimes as well but that’s on a good day!

No 1. The dancers age means nothing. Many older dancers have made it to the finals and or won. No. 2 i know I'm probably just being annoying but it irritated me Everytime cha-cha-cha was said. I know that's just me being the dancer I am but it is only 2 cha's. CHA-CHA not cha-cha-cha

1 age means something for some people especially athletes why do you think football and baseball players retire in their mid 30’s? Theres injuries and also just the fact that aging DOES impact your ability to do certain things 2 nobody cares how you say it its the same exact thing cha cha or cha cha cha who gives a fuck

@@midnight_x_edits actual dancers do give a f*** about correct terminology. Also, there are many physical sports and professions out there where age is not necessarily a factor. Just look at some of the most high caliber equestrian show jumping athletes! They are all older than 40, and have more athleticism, endurance, and courage than you could ever dream of having!

Almost 40? That's not even old!!!! I'm 31 and my bf is 42 and he's much more athletic than me. Also, jlo is older and can dance her ass off. Age does not mean stiff. Ms MOJO you should be ashamed.
