It's not really something to "notice" more just think about, but I have never seen anyone else acknowledge that Ross is the Friend who knows the others best. He makes all those questions in the contest, and based on their reactions when hearing the questions for the other team about themselves, no one knew what the questions were going to be, so that means that without any help, Ross knew about Chanandler Bong, 11 towel categories, Maurice the Space Cowboy, and what Chandler's job was. But then somehow he dosn't know that Phoebe doesn't believe in evolution or gravity..... although that's from an earlier episode, so by the time of the contest he would have known.

I can watch Friends thousand times and will still cry when Ross and Rachel got separated. When Joey and chandler were not roommates anymore. When Monica proposed to Chandler. When Phoebe had to give away the triplets and at last when everyone goes to Central Perk for the last coffee.❤ Edit: and now while watching I constantly realise Matthew Perry is no more.😔

It’s a small consolation but I’m grateful that Matthew got clean and sober and published his story to help others before he passed as helping others was what he wanted to be remembered for.

I don’t think Estelle held two jobs; I just think the same actress was used for the two roles. The actress used a thicker accent when she played Estelle and the hairstyle was completely different.

​@@calvin1228I'm sure they didn't intend Giovanni Ribisi to be her brother on his first appearance, but I can buy it retroactively because it fits the character. Conversely, the only plausible explanation for June Gable's appearances is that they're different characters.

Did anyone else notice that Jasmine (Phoebe’s colleague and Gunther’s roommate) was in the pilot episode as a waitress in the coffee house then later in S1 she’s in the massage parlour?

when Rachel made up a Greek orthodox name, Monica Stephanopoulos, it reminds me of the episode from S1 where Rachel, Monica, and Phoebe got George Stephanophoulos’s pizza instead of theirs and they stalked him from the terrace😂

I always got so mad that no one ever noticed that phobe gave that condom to her brother! I had an hour long argument about that in a bar once, but I did get a free drink after proving I was right 😁

You weren't right, cus he wasn't his brother in that part of the show, frank said that he was dating kitty foreman for a long time and this guy said the name of another girl, so this is a case of using an actor for a scene and later using him for another character

Rachel's pregnancy was actually even longer. She gives birth in the end of season 8, but the beginning of season 9 she has just had the baby. 5 episodes later it's Halloween and she's still on maternity leave (which was only a couple of months long, we are told in a later episode). Which means that Emma was only a few months or even a few weeks old at Halloween, which means she must have been born in August or September - which makes Rachel's pregnancy 15 or 16 months long.

She takes the test at Monica and Chandler's wedding in mid-May, meaning she got pregnant in late April. Towards the end, in the episode where she has an Dr.'s appointment and is wearing the orange top with her belly showing, she complains that it's 100° outside, making it summer, most likely mid-to-late July as that is the average hottest month in NYC...putting her pregnancy around 15 months!

Jeez, and you'd think after discovering such a popular show 5 years ago and rewatching it 500+ times, including learning so much about the making of the show and watching the bloopers on repeat, that you would know everything about the show😂 some of this stuff I didn't catch until now

I’ve noticed that there’s someone wearing bright orange in so many episodes . Started looking to see if true on others tv shows. Maybe it’s a lighting or filming thing 🤷🏻‍♀️ Or maybe started after Chandler & Monica got together 🤷🏻‍♀️Examples - Phoebe’s coat bright orange in “My eyes!! My eyes!! scene, Monica’s jacket orange when argues with Elle MacPherson, Joey wearing bright orange sweatshirt when finds out about Mondler. Just saw scene where Gunther had bright orange tie on. I know I must sound crazy but I always notice stuff like that. *and now you will too 🤔😉 lol

Vice President Dan Quayle went to a school. A teacher asked a child to spell potato. The child spelt it correctly and then Dan Wuayle encouraged the child to add an extra e to the spelling. They were linking this with Ross spelling Rachel’s surname with an extra e. Actually though I have seen people with last name Greene spelt with e at the end.

I never knew these small details in my life when I saw this show!😆

I actually noticed that second one, and sixteen! this is my second time rewatching this show!

I've watched Friends more times than I'm willing to admit. I could probably recite most episodes by heart. However, the new finds from this episode are: Marcel restaurant, Matthew Perry's dad, Susan Sarandon's daughter, the home alone house, and Joe's ATM pin. Thanks for the laughs.

It's not uncommon for shows to use the same actor in different small roles. Phoebe probably wasn't giving her brother a condom back but giving it to an unnamed character.

Spot 17 made me sad. RIP JMT :(

I’m a little peeved because some of these don’t even make sense. It’s called extra actors people!! I know it funny to notice like “hey! That’s phoebes brother!” But I’m sure he was just an extra at the time and then when it came time to audition for frank jr., he was given the part! Same with Estelle

All of these details were interesting but for the home Monica and Chandler bought, I doubt it was the Home Alone House since it is located in Illinois.

John Bennet Perry was so handsome as was Matt! Everyone goes on about Joey but Matt Perry was really the hot one.🔥 I’ll never forget the Old Spice man from my childhood.

I think they missed on Rachel's name. Greene is a common spelling and iirc it is spelled in show on that invitation as well as outside Rachel's office on her nameplate. Both times it was spelled "Greene". Now, I don't know if there are any official credits that spell out her last name to contradict this, but it appears to me that her name is in fact spelled 'Greene' in universe

No no no. The Home Alone house was in Illinois. And the “house across the street” was clearly a backdrop. It doesn’t even look the same. And also, with Rachel’s pregnancy, you have to suspend disbelief. The season 8 premiere picks up right after the season 7 finale, so on the show it was the same day, even though there was a 4-month break in real life.

About the house I think you guys got that wrong. The house in Home Alone is an actual house in the northern suburbs of Chicago. It was actually recently put up for sale about 4 or 5 years ago. Friends was filmed in LA & John Huges filmed all or part of his movies in Chicago because that’s where he was from. Also, Rachael’s last name, I have seen it spelled that way before so it’s not actually wrong. It’s sort of like how most people in the US & Canada spell the word gray with an “A” but in other English speaking countries they spell it with an “E.”

there was one show towards the beginning, when the coffee shop was a bar. Rachel is sitting with two other women talking about her upcoming marriage to Barry In the episode with Monica and Chandler, he throws a pool ball to the floor to get her attention. He doesn't know her. But Monica and Rachel were friends as teenagers and Chandler and Ross were also friends. They knew each other, but it was not acknowledged in that episode.

I think that they will come back when they are married and have another 21:16 child and live in the suburbs next door to Mona and Chandler .

2nd one yesss, just saw Frank jr and that episode yday and thought the same thing for the first time although I've seen it wayyyy too many times

A normal, full term pregnancy is 40 weeks, which is closer to 10 months, not 9. So Rachel's pregnancy would really be 2 weeks longer than is considered safe to deliver a late baby.

Idk if that’s true they used the same backdrop but there’s no way that’s the same set as home alone especially conserving how that set was built

Sorry, the Home Alone house is in Winetka, IL. It was filmed on location in Chicago and various suburbs. If the house in the window of Chandler and Monica’s house looks like the one across from the MacAllisters, it’s probably because they used a picture as a backdrop.

Actually Rachel’s family name is Greene, as you can see on the episode when she gives birth written by the doctors or on her own door at her office

The one thing i noticed that feels very weird is in an episode.with the friends talking about the past thanksgiving where joey has his head inside the turkey and says it was smelling bad to which phoebe says: you have your head up the dead animal...but in the later episodes when the thanksgiving scenes are shown (phobe says you head is inside the dead animal but its very evident.the scene was not reshot they look the same.except for the dialogue)..

Starting this now, I'm predicting I'll have noticed a BUNCH, with several being like "Who the hell would miss THAT?". :) Seems like people who write such lists are the most unobservant people around who had these things pointed out FOR them. :) Okay, okay, only ones I noticed were the Frank pre-appearance (which I figured was just another character, not the first time someone plays more than one character, which I ALSO say about Estelle's nurse, stop being silly), the Reserved sign a couple of times (though I rather assumed they were ignoring the reservation), and a couple of the Honourable Mentions.

Pretty sure Rachels name is literally spelled "Greene". The only time on the show when her name is spelled "Green" is on Emma's birthday cake, where obviously the bakery wouldve spelled it. Her office door at Ralph Lauren & the plate on Emma's crib at the hospital all say "Greene". Like I think fans have just assumed it's supposed to be spelled like "Green" but none of the actual source material spells it like that..

It was supposed to be real. Jennifer Aniston thought she was pregnant with then husband Brad Pitt, so the show wrote her pregnancy into Rachel’s story line. Unfortunately it was not to be but by then the storyline was established and Rachel had a baby, although Jen didn’t.

rachel’s long pregnancy can just come down to continuity error, which friends has more than a few of. we could just assume season 8 started right when season 7 left off, but it doesnt help that they gave the date for monica and chandlers wedding which means emma would have to have been born in february.

One of the gifts in The One With the Christmas in Tulsa was a VHS tape of Baby Einstein’s Baby Mozart.

Rachel's boss at Bloomingdale's is one of the parents in the background when Phoebe singing songs of truth to kids....

The Home Alone house is a huge stretch....Monica and Chandler house is obviousy on a Soundstage and the view out of the window is just a backdrop with random homes...also they never displayed the house exterior....

Phoebe did not give a condom to her brother. They must have liked Giovanni Ribisi so much in that bit part that they gave him a bigger role. It’s heavily implied the first time that Frank Jr. visits Phoebe that he’s never been to New York City before.

Typically when "Green" is a last name it's spelled "Greene" at least from what I've seen.
