Great list. All the Disney parks especially Magic Kingdom are the best amusement parks ever! Always something for everyone of all ages. One minor thing I would like to correct though: Bayou is actually pronounced as "by you."

Great countdown. I see many Disney vids and I applaud yours because it shows an attraction during day and night. Splash Mountain and Jungle Cruise is my 1 & 2 and my number three is eating a Dole Whip cone.

There are several rides at the resort that get a lot better at night. Big Thunder Mountain and Slinky Dog are two examples.

Magic kingdom has a special place in my heart, not only was it my first theme park but it’s home to my first coaster and flat ride, I both rode them in 1997 Here what they are: mad tea party and the barn stormer Barn stormer is at the number 1 spot of my list of kiddie coasters, it’s fun

It was one of my first coasters as well.

I know this is considered heresy among enthusiast circles but this park is elite to me. But I really value dark rides so my priorities are a bit different. Ranking rides at Magic Kingdom is far less straightforward than it is at most parks because charm, immersion and nostalgia can really carry a ride at Magic Kingdom (or Disneyland) in ways that other park rides can't. For me, I have yet to ride a ride of any kind that I enjoy as much as the Haunted Mansion. I've never made a ranking of all ride types but i think Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean would rank above every coaster I've ever ridden.

And since you're including defunct rides, I totally agree with your thoughts on Splash Mountain. It might have just been the perfect ride of any kind.

Im gonna go to MK for the first time next month. Going to the "after hours" event. So stoked.

I'm optimistic as well.

I actually like Seven Dwarfs more than Big Thunder mountain. I was assigned the very back seat and had almost half a foot between me and the lap bar, which gave me lots of airtime on the drops.

I find Big Thunder noticebaly wilder, but Seven Dwarfs is still fun for what it is.

I haven't been here since 2019, but I definitely agree with most of these rankings. Splash Mountain was one of my all time favorite rides so hopefully they don't mess up the retheme 🙏

My favorite ride there is Space Mountain, followed by Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, Buzz Lightyear: Space Ranger Spin, It's A Small World, Mickey's Philharmagic, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Under the Sea: Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Peter Pan's Flight, Monster Inc. Laugh Floor, Stitch's Great Escape, The Barnstormer, Astro Orbitor, Tomorrowland Speedway, Dumbo: The Flying Elephant, and Mad Tea Party. I expect TRON to be at or close to the front someday, but I don't know where Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride will place.

@@CanobieCoasterI’m cautiously optimistic… although I don’t think it’ll ever be able to match Splash’s soundtrack- the songs were iconic and Zip A Dee Do Dah was practically the Disney Parks theme song for commercials and promos for years

My favorite at Magic Kingdom has to be the Haunted Mansion, with Pirates of the Caribbean in a close second. These classic dark rides are just such explosions of creativity. The Haunted Mansion is filled with more cheeky little gags and effects than you can really take in in one ride--it felt like the Disney Imagineers got to loosen up a little for that one and indulge a bit in the macabre, and they loved every minute of it. But my favorite *coaster* there is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, with Space Mountain in second. Both have cool Disney theming but with BTMR it continues more consistently through the entire ride experience, giving it the edge. BTMR also has the honor of being the benchmark of the most intense thrill ride my wife and child will ride. If there's something I'm trying to convince them to ride they always ask if it's more or less intense than Big Thunder. If it's more, it's a no go.

I agree Big Thunder may have better theming than Space, but I prefer the latter.

I think that Splash Mountain would've been my favorite as well if I ever got to ride it. Space Mountain is my favorite ride, but I think my favorite attraction is actually Mickey's PhilharMagic. I had no expectations or knowledge of it ahead of time, but I loved it. Little Mermaid & Haunted Mansion are in my top 4 as well. Even though Hollywood Studios seems to have the best rides, Magic Kingdom has such a great quantity of very good attractions, plus such a great atmosphere, it was easily my favorite of the 4 parks.

Philhar Magic is fun, but I prefer some of the other dark rides and thrill attractions to it.

The barn stormer runs much faster imo than other vekoma jr coasters. I think it may be because of the weight of the theming, the heat making the grease and wheels heat more, and possibly the chain lift instead of drive tires

I wish the Tomorrowland Speedway was faster, maybe the old Rocket Rods concept or a slot car can be used

I think people underrate tiana even though its not open yet it won't be better than splash Mountain but it will still be great

Good list. Mine is a bit different, but my ranking changes depending on who you’re going with (kids and their ages vs. no kids), and whether you take into account that the Disneyland version of most rides are better (Pirates especially). Mine is something like: 1. Tron 2. Seven Dwarfs 3. People Mover 4. Splash Mountain 5. Little Mermaid 6. Small World 7. Peter Pan 8. Winnie the Pooh 9. Train 10. Pirates 11. Magic Carpets of Aladdin 12. Dumbo 13. Buzz Lightyear 14. Jungle Cruise 15. Pirates

@@First-Drop-Studios It’s just about perfect for a kids coaster… has great theming and landscaping, it’s really smooth, has some forces, the rocking feature of the cars is unique, the cars are mostly comfortable, and it has the middle section with animatronics. So much better than something like Slinky Dog Dash in my opinion.

I love this park's apperance.

it's very conflicting about Splash Mountain. I have such fond memories of it and the music, but obviously I don't want anyone to be offended either.

I don’t know why people are offended. While the movie is racist and just horrible, the ride doesn’t have any racism whatsoever. It doesn’t even feature the main characters of the film. If people are offended about a ride, then just don’t ride it.

I did not. That is worrisome.

I love all the Disney parks. But it’s near impossible to compare them to typical theme parks as there is an overwhelming nostalgia factor. As for your list, I’d put the parades and firework shows higher, and Space Mountain lower. Space Mountain has too much jank to be this high.

The fact that Tianas will only have 16 animatronics compared to the 60 in Splash Mountain worries me. Hopefully it won't be mostly screens.

Song of the South is racist? Wow. George Gershwin will be cancelled next for having written Porgy and Bess. Rhapsody in Blue by Gershwin ASLO sounds too black for a white Jew like him, (as am I, Shalom) yet it's the theme music for United Airlines which I use to ride roller coasters. I also didn't know "Zip-a Dee Do Da" is now the he new N word apparently, even though it's gibberish. It's like at the beginning of the third and final act of Die Walkure (The Valkyrie) from the 2nd (of four) of Wagner's operas "Der Ring des Nibelungen" where the lyrics are saying "Hojotoho! Hojotohio! Haiaha! Haiaha!" (That's the same music written by Wagner used at Kings Island for Back Lot Stunt Coaster during the MCBR I educated you about recently) doesn't mean anything. Yet gibberish is racist?!? I know Wagner hated Jews (even though he was probably Jewish), but then again, Disney also hated Jews. Being more of a musician than a coaster enthusiast I can forgive Wager more than Disney, but it's not a race. 🤣SMH. In any case: it's not your fault Canobie Coaster; Thanks for this review all the same. Happy winter solstice, Canobie Coaster!

@@CanobieCoaster their parks are great. Their content has been far more focused on pushing a disgusting agenda than telling a good story. That's why they've failed so spectacularly with flop after flop the last couple years
