Looking back at this now, I see a few changes I would perhaps make: Add "Falling Down", "Misty Rain", a couple boss themes and "Awakening Will". also switch some of the ranks around. I realize these top 20 videos will never fully satisfy absolutely everyone. #20 could very easily be #1. So please take it for what it is: A collection of good tunes from the Megaman Zero/ZX series.

Departure and Awakening Will are quite similar, but AW is a bit too bittersweet for me. Both should be in the Top 5 of every Mega Man Zero list, nevertheless.

MMZ4's falling down (Final Battle theme) easily gets a No.1 from me for the intensity

My favs from Zero series are: 1-Cannonball (Zero 3) 2-Ice Brain (Zero 2) 3-Sunkern Library (Zero 3)

Fun fact if you never played X: In Megaman ZX if you're on the highway it's very similar to X's Highway with some of the same enemies. It's also similar to fighting Vile. Serpent harms you severely and kills Girouette, and your using Model X and your defeated

10- Green Grass Gradation 9- Snake Eyes 8- Black Burn 7- Doomsday Device 6- Esperanto 5- Departure 4- Falling down 3- Supreme Ruler original and trance version! 2- Cannon ball 1- Straight Ahead you just have to listen the mythos and physis version... EPIC!!

High Speed Lift from Zero 3 is one of my favorite tracks in the series. Along with Trap Factory. Looking forward to the upcoming Zero/ZX legacy Collection. I still have my Megaman Zero/ZX games.

Number 4 on your list, "Wonder Panorama" is among my favorites. Also, number 3, "Straight Ahead" is my favorite from the list. Many of the others are really good too.

+sephatu To mitigate the utter suckage. I mean, ice/water levels in megaman aren't too bad at all, but in most games, they are. It's not just megaman, lots of games have great soundtrakcs in water levels.

Yep Cannonball is awesome. Sharp and heavy theme for a dramatic fight against a boss that is essentially a powered-up version of you.

I sincerely have to thank you for providing this list. I sincerely enjoy games with great music. Thanks to you, in 2013, I bought the Zero Collection. To this day I have played through the Zero games a numerous amount of times, more than I can count. In addition to that, I also bought and played both ZX and ZXA. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have experienced and enjoyed these amazing games. Thank you very much for this video. :)

Sky High - Grand Nuage (Theme of Guardian HQ) from ZX Advent is a really good one as well.

A great list Sliider36 for many, this should be different, that's inevitable, but for me it was a good caught of all the themes that we like :D It is interesting, the most of the players remember their games for their weft and history; but we, who have played the Megaman Series not only remember for their excellent events and facts but also we remember them for their excellent OST and music themes.

I will say this playlist has variety. If I'd crafted it, I would have just spammed ZX songs till the cows come home. That game's soundtrack just really does it for me, and I'm pleased to see it getting solid representation here.

If there's one thing I can agree with you on in that comment, it's the naming. The bosses are named some really stupid a forgettable things. But everything else...no. If you think Zero's story was childish, compare it to the Classic games..now THOSE are pretty simplistic and kiddy, And the gameplay is fantastic with some of the best controls in a Mega Man game ever! If there's one gripe I had with the Zero series, it was the ranking system. It made the difficulty harder than it was already, and I feel like without it, the difficulty would be more enjoyable.

I like Final Match, Hell gate's opened, Blackheart beat, Area of Zero, Judgement Day, Final Countdown, Combustion, Promise Next New World, X The Legend, High Speed Lift, Sleeping Beast, Submerged Memory, In Mother's Light, Neo Arcadia March and etc too.

Awesome list. I might add Onslaught/Attack on Guardian/Guardian Base Siege and Doomsday Device (Area M & N) both from ZX. They are definitely underrated.

When I first played mmz2 and heard departure, I got chills and thought zero must be a bad ass. That being the first time I played any mm game I got the shit beaten out of me:-)

I know it all comes Down to personal taste but you could really have used a bit more o ZX and ZX advent songs instead of putring every single "ice field" theme in The series XD nice vid tho.

is this list reversed? cuz personally i think Departure is no.1 think about it, after mmz1 ended with zero being badass fighting entire Neo arcadia reploids all alone, we all want another mmz game. then mmz2 came out with zero pretty much broken. then the music pop up, showing the cutscenes of zero still being a total badass.

yeah i even wrote in the description that the ranking can be considering quite random. number 20 could be number 1... and i meant it. its simply a collection of 20 memorable, noteworthy tunes from zero/zx.

As someone who had only played the desert stage in Zero 2 as her only megaman knowledge for majority of her life (could never beat it as a kid), that stage is GREAT.

Hum. While some music were must have in these video. Some other's are lacking. Supreme Ruler is completly forgotten while it was one of the most intense moment of the whole MMZ series. There is also the intro of MMZ4 who is missing. "Caravan" and there's also Albert theme. "Soul Abalze" who is missing. But still, nice vid.

I'm a little disappointed that passionate from zero 2 wasn't on the list but it's a good list.

Areas that has snow has nice and calming music..

Noticing a lot of ice area themes. Very "Cool" ( Had to say it)

The fucking stage design on mega man zx advent approaching ouroboros made me pull my hair out it was honestly some hard ass platforming

The version of Cannon Ball used in ZX and Zero 3 is actually different. Not by much, but there are slight differences. Specifically the intro to the song before the guitar is from ZX's version of it.

Me: (Sees Cannonball Hard Revenge as spotlight for Number 1) A man of culture I see.

I never paid much attention to the background in Area Zero. Looking at it now though, I’m noticing crumbled buildings and what looks like a destroyed city stretching far in the distance. What a sad world.

Through the lighting and Destiny from ZXA should be honorable mentions.

I liked the track Ultramarine Meditation from Megaman ZX, which reminds me. Where is that song?

lol good list. Though funny how almost backwards from my own opinion this is. Departure is my number 1 XD. I agree on Cannonball and Straight ahead being high on the list though. But yeah my favorite ZX series track by far is trap phantasm/factory. Most of it sound good, but I much prefer rock to synth. So Zero is generally much higher than ZX for me.

Where is Passionate - Fighting Fenfir? That is a top 20 all time Megaman Track across all games original and X series inclusive let alone Megaman Zero.

Maybe, but Dr.Wily seemed to have survived long enough to create Zero, and it was implied that he (or at least some form of him) was working with working with Sigma to restore Zero's original programming. It does seem that the Robot protagonists wouldn't retire peacefully, and Dr.Cain (being an archaeologist) DID find X's capsule in some ruins (presumably abandoned some time between 20XX and 21XX.

I really hate the keyboard choice in the ZX version of Cannonball, the piano in the original is much better. Even so, I think Cannonball is overrated.

i was looking forward for trap phantasm but then i forgot its just z and zx. oh well trap factory and departure is still awesome.
