Удивительно! Не знаю ни одного языка и это оказалось преимуществом, зато я слушаю и наслаждаюсь только замечательной музыкой. С детства ( я из СССР) слушала по радио в глубоком казахском селе, куда мы были сосланы из-за ВОВ. А комментарии " знатоков" и современных "ценителей" просто возмущают. Nice playlist! It would help if the actual singers were listed, although some I recognise.... For sure there's a bunch of Jussi Bjoerling in there....and is the other tenor Vittorio Grigolo? No Pavarotti or Bocelli, as noted in the video description....

I guess Figaro´s aria could be easily performed by some heavy-dark Dramatic Tenors however the aria is for a Barytone with coloratura.

This is great. I love opera sung by tenors and this video concentrates on those piece without me having to suffer through women opera singers.

Misleadingly titled "Top 20 Greatest Tenor Arias", this starts with one of the best known BARITONE aria from Rossini's Barbar! No.6 is a BASS aria from Mozart's Figaro; No.15 is Bizet's DUET for tenor & baritone and NOT an aria; No 18 Verdi's Il Trovatore is for tenor but also includes soprano, another tenor & chorus; No.19 Mozart's Figaro is for BASS. These are all very well-known music - many will notice the misinformation.

There are lots of "people" who care a lot more and know a lot more than me on these famous singers and composers. Most singers and composers of Classical music work extremely hard, many suffer difficult lives and financial hardship, but they persist on their art resulting in great music and performances that many "people" enjoy. I care and want to know more and would not get offended if someone told me I get certain facts wrong. May I suggest if you care enough to find out more, you will enjoy even more of these performances and enjoy more of the vast amount of Classical music.

Ах, как замечательно, что появилась возможность услышать пение великих певцов! Жаль только, что не сообщаются имена этих выдающихся людей. А догадываться самой тоже не получается. Баритон, исполнивший каватину Фигаро, очень напоминает голос Титта Руффо. А голос исполнителя романса Неморино напомнил мне замечательного тенора Джузеппе Кампора. Остальные исполнители никого мне не напомнили. Но всё равно они пели изумительно. Я от всей души благодарю автора канала за то наслаждение, которое он мне доставил!

0:00:00 If youre planning on auditioning as a tenor with Largo Al Factotum, you are automatically disqualified because if the role in that aria is anything other than your type (Figaro is a baritone, not a tenor), it defeates the purpose of preserving traditions especially for standard rep like this one

21:00 Same thing for this aria, Non Piu Andrei is a bass aria, not a tenor aria *If i'm going to watch a video for tenor, the rep should also fall into place with the voice type, not the singer, I'm looking for audition rep, part of the guideline is to sing arias of which the role of that aria is written for tenor.

dammit the Pearl Fishers Duet for barytone & tenor is so amazing and there is some underlying lovely romantic undertones besides the common rivarly love for one single woman on both and yet their shared deep loyal friendship bond as well, which does the whole piece something very complex reflexing on what nowadays could be guessed as a BROMANCE thing on both!!

I guess they got confused by some Dramatic (lower-darker-heavy) Tenors singing sometimes the role - as Placido Domingo did once on his prime even before he changed his repertoire to sing barytone roles at middle-to-late 2000s when he was unable to sing anymore the same tenor roles he did before untill then - as the role is a very lightier and higher Coloratura Barytone type much closer like the lower and heaviest Tenors on the same area, so some singers could switch easily on both registers. Henceforth the Rossini´s Barbieri´s Figaro has something to do with tenors somehow. The one which has nothing to do is the older Mozart Nozze´s Figaro role arias, which actually are for an even lower-barytone leaning with its heavyness and darkness to a Lightier/Coloratura Bass or Bass-Barytone role indeed, those arias have nothing to do with tenors in all.
