Another one I would mention, it would be Nick's backstory in Zootopia. Agree that the boys transformation into donkeys and Clayton's death creeps me the most, Mufasa's death was almost as sad as the death Littlefoot's mother in TLBT, and the ending of Toy Story 3 never needed a sequel, but men... In a time were Disney movies don't feel as mature as the older ones, this was unexpected. First up, Zootopia became my favorite CGI Disney film because how realistic was, metaphorically speaking. And the scene where Nick is pick on, reflects how the paranoia and hatred from grown ups can influences on children. It also makes me remind my own experience, because I can relate to young Nick and understand his sadness.

I suck on that, have not seen the full film, I don’t see to begin with, but the point is made. I lived in some degree still live that lack of trust in others. It’s hard for me because I have to inherently trust people or I’m not gonna get anywhere, however, I don’t trust them farther than the demands.

Disney has that way of surprising you in every movie that’s what intrigues me the most about them besides the songs and the music. Like that’s what pulls the audience in and if they didn’t have these special or dark moments in it wouldn’t have been the same movies we come to love ❤️ that’s why Cinderella Dress scene and Coco singing Remember Me will always be my favourite surprises 😊😁❤️❤️

  • @joshuamohlman

A friend of mine told me his family had a similar experience like Miguel’s family did when Coco heard “Remember Me”. His great grandmother had Alzheimer’s, and while she was able to still interact with her family, there were some days where she had no idea where she was or who the family was. My friend found out the song she and her husband danced to at their wedding, and played it in her room. The grandmother started crying and told my friend that had her husband not died, they would have been married over 70 years. It is a sad story, but my friend told me it made his day seeing his great grandmother remember one of the best days of her life.

The perfect ending to the Toy Story Franchise was definitely Andy realising that he has to grow up, and giving the toys to Bonnie. It probably didn't need to run on for at least two more films.

  • @wynonasbigbrowndragon6121

I always say this. It was the PERFECT conclusion to the trilogy. In fact, the first movie starts out with the white clouds painted on Andy's blue wall. The third movie ends with a shot of Actual White clouds in the blue sky. Anything beyond that was a nauseatingly obvious money grab.

I agree! But Andy's story is now over. And our childhoods for those of us who grewup in the 90s. But the toys must help another child grow. Instead of the third movie ending the franchise as if to discard the toys, being able to see bonnie grow and be taken care of by the toys is a reminder for us to cherish what we have and for me, the importance that toys can have on a childhood. Sometimes toys are things we pass down. i think the continuation of the story shows that

The first time I saw "The Circle Of Life" was in a theater and it was the movie's preview. Since it was the preview, not only was the segment awe inspiring; it left me with dread because after Rafiki presents the cub over his head, the screen goes to black with a "thud" (sound). All I could think was of what horror would await this little lion cub. It left me with a sense of fear for the little one thinking, "whatever this kid is going to face, it can't be good"!!!!!!

Tbh, I think Lion King 2 was more along the lines of "surprise" than LK's ending, since Zira literally kills herself instead of accepting a life where everyone can co-exist together, even after doing wrong to each other.

When I was little, seeing how Yen Sid got rid of the water in the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" part in both "Fantasia" movies used to scare me. I don't really know why it did, but it might have been because of how Yen Sid waved his hands to dispel the water. As I grew up, I stopped finding it scary, and I find the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" segment a cool piece. I even have a copy of both "Fantasia" movies on Blu-Ray.

The glass slipper comes because the French word for glass Vair is pronounced like the French for fur Verre and the old tales that Cinderella is based on had her in Fur slippers in at least a couple of the variations. BTW Cinderella is the insulting term the Stepsisters called her from Ella of the cinders or ashes , her actual name in almost all of the old tales is ELLA.

Does the Makings of Greatness speech that John Silver gives to Jim Hawkins not surprise you guys enough to put it on here? Nor would Disney themselves attempt to do that again ever since? 😤
