psa: please don’t buy the 6.0 power stroke, you will go broke trying to keep it alive as it is well known for being one of the most unreliable diesel engines known to man. save your money and get either a 6.7 or a 7.3

The rsx type s has a k20a2 for 02-04 and k20z1 for 05-06. It never had a k24.

Appreciate the list. I wish EVERY big youtube channel would do these to help keep the prices down. I've seen the C5 sell for 6500 and I've also seen them listed for 22.5k. It's crazy how they vary.

Some great options in this list. Love the vr6 and sportsbike options. Have had a few of both vr6’s and sportsbikes and can say they are great value under 10k

For these cars in this price range you have to get the manual. They will be faster, since these cars are late 90’s or early 2000’s the autos are slush boxes, less reliable with mileage, slower, can’t maintain at higher mileage, and less cool. For these cars manual is better than auto, and imo all cars manual better than auto, idgaf auto faster i don’t do 0-60 i drive for fun. How would you argue that these autos are better than the manual? Given none of these have quick 8/9/10 speed autos or dct like they do today?

it depends on your definition of better. By all means autos are faster. Are they nearly as fun? no. not even close.

@@eshical7311 newer ones with dual clutches and even the mustang 10 speeds and corvette and Camaro 8 speeds slushes are all faster then manual today. I work at a vw dealership and have driven countless gtis both auto and dsg. The dsg is definetly rough but it is always the same time between shifts and yes way quicker then the manual, but the manual is more fun so it’s better for me. If you can’t handle 3 pedals with two feet get the auto or if you do drag runs all day go with the auto. But all the cars in this video will be way quicker and more reliable with the manual. New cars way different then it’s up to you what is ‘best’ but it’s obvious for the older cars.

I got a third gen Escalade for less than 10k and I have a Speed6. The 6 has the same motor as the Speed3 and it’s AWD

The Merc sl600 is a future classic collectible and pretty hard to find. Closer to 20k or more. I have a 2001 SL600 w/ amg kit, love everything but the gas mileage 🤣

at 2:56 the example clips show the 2010-2014 mustangs with the 5.0 coyote, the 4.6 mustangs are from 2005-2009, so the body style will be a little different and you won’t get the 5.0 which is more expensive and over the 10k mark anyway. overall though, love the vids, keep them coming!

i'm new to the car scene guys. I wanna know if the high mileage will be an issue? Most cars on this list have high mileage to be that cheap. What issues could I expect buying an old car with high mileage?

High mileage depends on the car though to be honest. Every car has a different set of problems that you need to make sure the previous owner has taken care of. For example, the Lexus IS series 2jz uses a timing belt and you need to make sure that it has been changed if it is high mileage. Just do your research and see what problems people usually have with the car you want and you should be okay 👍

I don’t think the Acura RSX type s come with a k24

also a nissan maxima 2000 is not bad it has a v6 3.0 and it makes 222hp and it's fun to drive

You gotta be specific with the gen coupes, the one you showed is a bk1. 2013-2016 are more expensive and waaay better than the 2009-2012 genesis coupes. Better engines in the 2.0t and 3.8

E46 E46 E46 E46 You would either get a very high mileage 6 speed zhp or a 5 speed pre facelift but you gotta get the 3 L. Any N54 is gonna cost you they’re terrible as far as reliability goes, m54 ftw and e92 i don’t like i have 2 e46. Also with C5 no kid will ever afford insurance on that lmao

@@codenamedesertviper1825 i did look at a 540i sport 6 speed before i got my zhp 330ci coupe 6 speed, but if you get basically any bmw with a v8 they all have timing chain issues. E39 is great too though even a 530 with a 5 speed would be fun af.

Bro the Hyundai Genesis coupe you're supposed to get the fucking 4-cylinder turbo car yeah it makes less horsepower out of the gate but it has a lot more tuning potential than this V6 so getting the 4 cylinder turbo Genesis is a lot better than getting the V6 if you're wanting to push more power or getting your card tunable the V6 is made for people that just want the power out the gate
