"Bridge to Terabitha" scarred me for life when I was a preteen. Even sadder to know was that it was based on the true story of the death of a friend of the author's son. 💔😭

When I was in seventh grade, my English teacher decided to spend three class periods showing us "Bridge to Terabitha." I happened to be absent on the third day and completely missed the ending. When I got back the next day, I asked my classmates what I missed and they vaguely told me, "A sad ending. It's a good thing you weren't here." To this day, I have never seen the ending, but I do know what happens anyway. I agree with you, it's incredibly, heart wrenchingly sad and I feel so sorry for both the author's son and his friend.

Just Some Guy without a Mustache The Harry Potter movies are amazing if you haven’t read the books, otherwise they’re _great_ at best - all of them “missing” something that would make them truly worth renditions and as awesome as the books.

Seven of the eight HP movies are very good; "Half Blood Prince" was not. I don't like it at all when a director inserts plot points that were not in the book and changes the narrative. It's especially troubling when it's a film series. I completely understand that book things have to be cut out for a movie, but adding things that never were is unacceptable. I'll never forgive Yates for the mess he made of that film. JMO.

So happy you included Narnia on this list, especially since Narnia is ignored on many lists in which it should be considered. I would have been so angry if it wasn't included. Should have included the entire series though. All the films are great and that fact that the series stopped at three movies is a tragedy.

I love narnia books and only the first film stayed faithful to the book. The following two really went off and Voyage of Dawn Treader especially being one of the most beautiful books ive read failed miserably with story changes in the film which is easily why they failed and didn't continue even though there wasn't intention. They made it like any other Disney movie when it's a superb masterpiece book.

I feel like The Maze Runner trilogy should have at least been an honorable mention, or maybe even in the low ranks. I know it's not the most faithful adaptation but I feel like overall it's still a very good movie trilogy to watch. It does a great job presenting the broken world it's set in and keeps a lot of the core relationships true, such as the friendship between Thomas, Newt, and Minho. And Wes Ball directed each movie so the style is consistent throughout. That aside I'm glad something beat Harry Potter as #1 on one of these lists 😂😂the spotlight needs to be shared.
