Its bc back then they were more concerned with capturing your attention and imagination with story line, plot, visuals, effects, drama, action, emotions, creativity, ect. Now they just force feed their personal ideals and adjendas down your throat with garbage and TELL you how amazing it is. If you disagree its YOU who is at fault. Not their lack of creativity.

    @@jacobmilligan8777 no fucking way. Titanic deserved it's spot, one of the most successful films ever made. I would have put The Fugitive in at about 7 and bumped the others down rather than replace anything. Yes fight Club would be knocked out of the list, but I think it's overrated anyway.

    1992 was also a great year for movies, not only Reservoir Dogs that is mentioned speaking about the top spot of the list but other classics from different genres such as Unforgiven, Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Last of the Mohicans, A Few Good Men, A League of Their Own, The Crying Game and Malcolm X.

    There was something incredibly pure and pluralistic about the 90's movie, music and TV scene that reflected the multitude of subcultures that grew and existed at the time. It may be partly nostalgia talking but I've never since lived in such a free and wholesome time and never will.

    I think Jurassic Park is 1st for me. Its so nostalgic and beautiful. Maybe I like it that much because I was a dinosaur fan my entire life, but does it matter? Sci-fi, horror, drama, a fantastic character arc for Grant, etc. It has everything! 🦖🦕

    I’m happy T2, Schindler’s List and so many others are on your list. However, I am disappointed you didn’t refer to or mention Apollo 13 or The Blair Witch Project, two other great movies from the 90s. I think you should do a top 40 list 10 years from now and give those movies fair play. Also, I like to see a top 20 list of the best animated movies from the 90s.

    "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" (1991) is my #1 for the 90's. It's a phenomenal film and the reason I was named Connor. Another one of my favorites that wasn't mentioned is "American History X" (1998). A truly powerful and moving film.

    LA Confidential. Great cast, direction, cinematography, score, plot and dialog so gritty and intelligent it raises the bar for screenplays. Not just one of the great movies of the 90's but of all time. Honorable mention to Braveheart and The Last of the Mohicans.

    I was looking for anyone who had mentioned Speed before I commented. It's non-stop action, occasionally funny, great chemistry, and one of the best villains ever. .....that's coming from a guy who thinks that Con Air should've been on the list too though

    Braveheart should certainly be on here. Incredible movie. The others you mentioned are more niche movies and are not as widely iconic or recognized imo. Most you listed are quite good but just not as widely popular. Braveheart falls into that category a bit as well, I would say.

    The schindlers list is the one movie that its enough to see for once in your lifetime... Awesome acting, story but so depressing at the same time. Truly a masterpiece 👍👍👍👍

    Absolutely no character development (other than Schindler himself). Holocaust movies kind of have an insurance from criticism, it’s about time we end it :) Criticising a holocaust movie doesn’t mean someone is denying what happened or something like that.

    @@helloworldx10 i hope you don't misunderstand character development as just a building up of a character within the movie. as long as a character has depth and significance, even if it remained constant throughout can be deemed good character development, taken from a creative writing and not a story-telling point of view. and fiennes's character was solid. should've won best supporting that year. agree with you though on holocaust movies perception.

    The Rock, Con Air, Tombstone, Face/Off, American History X, Braveheart, Die Hard 3: With a Vengeance.. The fact that these great movies are missing from the list, just goes to show how spectacular the 90s were cinematography wise. Might as well be the most amazing decade in the history of cinema. IMO.

    I may not have been alive in the 90s but I've seen plenty of these movies. I'd also like to point out The Mummy (1999) and Armageddon (1998, I think), that I really enjoy. The 90s had some great movies!
