@@jacobmilligan8777 no fucking way. Titanic deserved it's spot, one of the most successful films ever made. I would have put The Fugitive in at about 7 and bumped the others down rather than replace anything. Yes fight Club would be knocked out of the list, but I think it's overrated anyway.

Patch Adams and awakenings we're really sweet movies. Robin Williams was just awesome then.

1992 was also a great year for movies, not only Reservoir Dogs that is mentioned speaking about the top spot of the list but other classics from different genres such as Unforgiven, Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Last of the Mohicans, A Few Good Men, A League of Their Own, The Crying Game and Malcolm X.

It makes me sad that "The Green Mile" is not on this list

There was something incredibly pure and pluralistic about the 90's movie, music and TV scene that reflected the multitude of subcultures that grew and existed at the time. It may be partly nostalgia talking but I've never since lived in such a free and wholesome time and never will.

I’m with you. I was only barely becoming a teen by the end of the 90s but it felt like everything was okay then. The movies were no exception.

I think Jurassic Park is 1st for me. Its so nostalgic and beautiful. Maybe I like it that much because I was a dinosaur fan my entire life, but does it matter? Sci-fi, horror, drama, a fantastic character arc for Grant, etc. It has everything! 🦖🦕

Groundhog Day and s a surprising entry here...always assumed it’s was an ‘80’s flick, has that ‘80’s feel to it.

'Good Will Hunting' was written by both Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Robin Williams, Matt Damon, and Ben Affleck became Oscar winners indeed.

I’m happy T2, Schindler’s List and so many others are on your list. However, I am disappointed you didn’t refer to or mention Apollo 13 or The Blair Witch Project, two other great movies from the 90s. I think you should do a top 40 list 10 years from now and give those movies fair play. Also, I like to see a top 20 list of the best animated movies from the 90s.

I believe that coffee shop scene was their long awaited first time on screen together. De Niro’s part in Godfather Part 2 was a flashback so they never shared the screen together.

Silence of the lambs and Saving Private Ryan should have been higher IMO.

"Terminator 2: Judgment Day" (1991) is my #1 for the 90's. It's a phenomenal film and the reason I was named Connor. Another one of my favorites that wasn't mentioned is "American History X" (1998). A truly powerful and moving film.

Excellent job, these are some of my favorite movies of all time

1999's 'The Matrix' is still one of the best damn sci-fi movies ever made. 🙂

LA Confidential. Great cast, direction, cinematography, score, plot and dialog so gritty and intelligent it raises the bar for screenplays. Not just one of the great movies of the 90's but of all time. Honorable mention to Braveheart and The Last of the Mohicans.

Home Alone, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, Jurassic park, The Green Mile, Titanic and Space Jam are my favourite films from the 90s! I'm glad I live with the early 90s.

Braveheart should certainly be on here. Incredible movie. The others you mentioned are more niche movies and are not as widely iconic or recognized imo. Most you listed are quite good but just not as widely popular. Braveheart falls into that category a bit as well, I would say.

Absolutely no character development (other than Schindler himself). Holocaust movies kind of have an insurance from criticism, it’s about time we end it :) Criticising a holocaust movie doesn’t mean someone is denying what happened or something like that.

The Rock, Con Air, Tombstone, Face/Off, American History X, Braveheart, Die Hard 3: With a Vengeance.. The fact that these great movies are missing from the list, just goes to show how spectacular the 90s were cinematography wise. Might as well be the most amazing decade in the history of cinema. What a decade! But nothing could top that PERFECT mix of action, drama, comedy and horror that is Judgment Day.

Braveheart, and Dazed and Confused would’ve been on my list!

Most movies are not accurate but saying Braveheart was not a good film is nonsense.

There are plenty of other amazing 90s movies that also deserve to be on this list, but it's hard to argue with a single film that did make the list. That was one amazing decade for Cinema.

Legends of the Fall , Dances with wolves, Interview with a vampire.... but you compiled a great list... it's one of those impossible tasks...

Home Alone 1 & 2 they are the coolest,funniest,hilarious and iconic Christmas movies in all the time and is the funniest and best Christmas movies ever

Home alone definitely should have been on this list

My other favorites left off this list: Independence Day, Natural Born Killers, Ace Ventura, Philadelphia, Happy Gilmore & Blair Witch Project (essentially invented the POV concept for horror & thriller movies).

I've got a couple movies to watch today and tomorrow night from this list and a good couple from the comments. Thanks for all those involved 👊🏽🙏🏽🤞🏽

T2 Judgement Day, Saving Private Ryan, and The Silence Of The Lambs are the best movies from the 90s that I've watched. Edit: I forgot Schindler's List is also included. I knew it that Pulp Fiction is number one.

The Grifters (1990) and Unforgiven (1992) both deserve recognition.

"Blood In Blood Out" should have been on this list...Its so good and people never talk about it

The '90s was just an awesome time for movies. Jurassic Park is among my many favorites! If you make a list of the top 20 underrated '90's films please include "Don Juan de Marco" and "Mrs. Doubtfire".

You omitted Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Falling Down, Mighty Aphrodite, American Beauty, There's Something About Mary, Die Hard with a Vengeance, Short Cuts & Magnolia.

Totally agree with this list 😎

I just knew they were going to put The Lion King in there... That was a classic. Overall good list. I'm going to watch some of them this weekend :)

Really thought Braveheart would of made it on this list.

I agree with all of those except for broken arrow. I use to love the film when I was younger and then I recently gave it a re watch and it really wasn’t that great.

I may not have been alive in the 90s but I've seen plenty of these movies. I'd also like to point out The Mummy (1999) and Armageddon (1998, I think), that I really enjoy. The 90s had some great movies!

For once you actually made a list that was spot on! As a child of the 90s I approve.

You need to see "The Longest Day".

Great List!!! My personal honorable mention (yeah Disney would have owned this list). Hook, Independence Day, SCREAM, Twister, Hocus Pocus, Matilda and There's Something About Mary.

Face Off was one of the best movies in the 1990s

"Short Cuts" is a lot more overlooked & it's the movie that inspired PTA to make "Magnolia". You need to see it.

Half Baked, Dazed and Confused, Before Sunrise (my personal favorite ❤)... I'm typing out good ones as I think of them!!

Hard target, desperado, twister, the specialist, jumanji are the movies, still stuck in my mind. Beautiful show indeed, it took me back to 90s, to our young age. ❤

I think the Mummy should’ve been at LEAST in the honorable mentions. Classic
