vertical farming is the future of agriculture.. i had the idea when i was a kid and saw my first parking garage.. too bad i didnt have billions to spend on development to save the world so now idk.. each crop requires different levels of nutrients so flow water through the system adding nutrients as needed.. hydroponics turns industrial and any runoff will be simple nutrient rich water without the soil contaminants like lead or C8 or whatever..

Maybe not edible packaging, but at least biodegradable packaging and better composting systems would be a huge step. I would rather pay the waste company to pick up a compost bin than a recycling bin, knowing that most of it doesn't get recycled at all anyway.

I invented a hydrofoil engine that sticks on side of a bridge over a river and it goes up and down with the water flow, a rod should tilt the blades so when it goes down it'll go back up, think putting your hand out of a car window and twisting your hand to go up and down ... It works and is quite simple to make for people like you. Strange thing is a few month after i thought of it i decided to see if anyone on youtube had come up with it, a guy in a jungle Thailand somewhere had a very crude kinda working model but his tools and equipment let him down. Remember me when you're a millionaire, i need to buy a new liver fr joe

Edible packaging, even if we don't eat it ourselves, it could be chucked in the compost, or even if people litter, it'll break down or be eaten by something else... Though might encourage pests

We need more incentives and deregulation for innovations and prospects of new systems , capitalism now diminishes this due to patenting and already existing industries that would be eradicated due to innovation and they deliberately or inadvertently sabotage anything that might do this. The oil industry for example woild be phased out if we switched to dolphin juice instead
