Hawk Moth was never a villain he was a victim he's in a hurt place without his wife. And it's hard to open yourself up again because there's the possibility of opening yourself up to pain again that's why he shows no emotions around or towards Adrien.

Marinette do know that there always a consequence for the wishes and if Hawkmoth wish to brought his wife back someone love would go in a coma instead and in this case, 99% said person would be Adrien. So even after knew ShadowMoth motivation, she wouldn't give up her miraculous but try to convince ShadowMoth to maybe move on from Emilie Ps: I know I'm being nerdy and probs gonna be attack but I just had to say it out😅
