Long drink (Lonkero) is Finnish and was created for the Helsinki summer olympic games in 1952. The original recipe is just grapefruit soda/pop and gin, pre-mixed to help bartenders serve more quickly. Nowadays different brands and flavours exist of course, but Hartwall's Original Gin Long Drink is still the gold-standard.

Long Drink is hard alcohol (high percentage like Whiskey, Rum, Gin, Tequila, ...) that is filled up with something like Coke, Water, Tonic, juice, whatever (and some ice cubes usually). Counts as a cocktail, but it is not shaken and quite simple.
