Holy Bull's achievements are definitely noteworthy, but this particular ranking highlights other exceptional horses. Who's your favorite among the top 15?

While talking about Flightline, you show a lot of Cody’s Wish & Cody Dorman! & while talking about Arrogate you cut to California Chrome! Not all horses look alike.

Flightline is in top 1or 2 of All Time. I'm talking about who would win a race. Not "accomplishments". No horse did it (won) the way he did 6 races in a row. I think in a 7 race series, 7f, 8f, 8f, 9f, 9f, 10f, 10f...he beats everyone. If you're wondering who Flightline is, and your "knee jerk" reaction is to throw out Secretariats name, you don't know horse racing.

Wait what- Everyone “throws out” Secretariat’s name because he was the best! He won the Belmont stakes by 31 lengths! You don’t see that majesty and pure power just anywhere. Flightline was one of the best, yes, but he wasn’t THE best. But perhaps I don’t know. I wasn’t there. Flightline sure was one of the best, though.

@@brinleyisawesome6398 Secretariat's name is thrown out because of the 31 length win. That's how mainstreamers know him. That's the highlight showed over and over. Secretariat lost 25% of the time, and never won 6 races in a row. Flightline won by 21 lengths in a 10f race. HAD that race been 12f....based on the gap he was creating....he wins by at least 31 and is near 2:24. Flightline was AS good as Secretariat.

Good point. I actually used to believe that Man o’ War was the best-BECAUSE of the 25% thing. But, remember, Secretariat had an abscess in one of the races. There was another that something else was wrong-I think he was disqualified for something he didn’t do? That brings the percentage down considerably. And I usually don’t consider wins and losses as necessarily the makings of a good horse, as one can have bad racing luck. But I will admit that Secretariat’s record seems…a little on and off. And a great horse needs to be going all the time. Flightline did that, it’s true. And, for the record, one of the other points I have seen thrown out in the Man o’ War-Secretariat argument is that horses, say, 50 years ago, had less competition because less racehorses were born, and thus fewer champions. But, remember-Secretariat faced Sham. Sham would have been a horse to remember, a champion, am perhaps even a TP winner, if not for Secretariat. Secretariat was 5 times better than Sham, if not more. He smashed the competition in the Belmont, and that record has held TO THIS DAY (I do caps to attalisize, not to yell). Secretariat raced mightily in three consecutive races within or a little over a month, on average 1 1/4 of a mile,and still had the strength to do what he did in the Belmont. That’s not just a show of speed. That is the epitome of endurance. After the Belmont, Lucien Lauren asked Ronny Turcott how Secretariat was. The jockey answered, “he could have gone faster. Lucien replied, “don’t tell that to anyone, Ronny.” (I read that in a biography of Secretariat called The Horse God Built). His top speed was already 37.5 mph. I do not know much about Flightline, undoubtably less than you do. If you can contradict what I said, please do. I’m sort of new to horse racing. This is very interesting, and what I wouldn’t give to see these two legends in a match race! PS: I forgot to add to the first paragraph that Secretariat had to wear blinkers to focus, another downfall to the great horse. I can’t remember if Flightline did, though….

Hold up why is Man o’ War 5TH- I mean, no offence. I used to think that, perhaps, he was the best…but the evidence lies against him. I’m in between Secretariat and Man o’ War, now. But I do protest Zenyatta and Seabuscuit in front of him in ranking.

Personally, I also think Man o' War is the greatest, even more than Secretariat. But honestly, this list wasn't based on greatness and achievements-it's more of a random pick. All these horses are truly great in their own right!

I disagree totally with this 15 horse list missing alot n have some that shouldn't be on list Wheres Justify. Barbaro Smarty jones if your gonna put Cigar on here then these few are better I think Flightline1 way to low on list n ManO war to low he's either number 1 or 2. Not 5 n Dr Fager at 15 are you kidding me hes in top 5.
