I never thought about getting a round table. That’s totally the solution for my small space, because the kitchen door is next to the table and I‘m afraid that I cannot open the door fully if I get a rectangle table.

I have same issue with door. I had a rectangular table with a leaf. I couldn’t open patio door when a chair was placed at the end and it drove me crazy. I sold the table and now looking at round. Can’t wait to find one. This channel is great. She’s got some good advice!

My small dining room (4x4 meter) is also the main door entry area into the apartment. So it also has to accommodate storage for shoes, boots, coats, including for visitors; and other storage items (broom closet, sideboard with dishes and cutlery for dining, etc) Result: I have to line the walls with tall deep closets/cabinets. I’m afraid this will feel oppressive so I would appreciate your advice on how to make big tall closets feel friendly instead of brutal and overwhelming. Thanks!

7:18 - I wonder what is that wall-mounted sitting bench thing is fastened to, to hold the weight of a couple of full grown human adults? No fixing system in sight. Especially if it's not a strong concrete wall but a flimsy plasterboard / drywall one.

I have a living room combined w kitchen.I’m interested in having white panels in living room.The ceiling is high .I’m not sure if panel would work because living room extend to the kitchen.it’s a townhome

Excellent advice. I am currently renovating a small apartment in southern Italy. I want to incorporate a banquette in the kitchen as a dining area. I am downsizing from a larger home. Where do you suggest we purchase thin dining room tables and chairs?

Thank you so much for explaining the logic behind all of these tips and ideas - that makes it easier to figure out how to adapt them to my space! I've moved into a small townhouse with a tiny dining area off the kitchen. I tried a rectangular dining table, and it was too cramped as there was no space to move around. Now I'm putting in corner bench seating with a small retro round pedestal table and a couple of low-profile chairs on the outside. The chairs have a curved back. On the opposite corner I am setting up a white metal shelving unit with plants. My table is natural wood but my bench seating is white. I'm so glad I watched your video because I haven't made the cushions for the bench seats yet - now I know to use a lighter color for the fabric! Thankfully I have two windows in this space so there is plenty of natural light, and I have replaced the curtains with white venetian blinds. They really do help to open up the space! Thanks again, and your dress is fabulous ❤️
