@@epolpier use google. The interview with Berger is in many places and that he questioned his own previous estimates because Verstappen has shown thing's he has never seen. He added: “I said before that Senna was the best driver of all time. I have to say, I think Max Verstappen is even better now. He has skills that I haven’t even seen yet."

Crazy to think that between the last Chinese GP in 2019 and this one there have been 106 races and Max won 53 of them... That's 50% of all the races in the last 5 years... And that's including 2 dominant Mercedes seasons and a season where Max and Lewis were very closely matched. Insanity!

💯 agree... Nail biting how he just flew over the track like there was no rain. And how he controlled the car when he nearly, or actually lost it, was insane. It shows how adrenaline and skills results in magic. It's still one of my favourite races, though he didn't win. But just his exceptional driving skills proofed to m that he was a legend in the make. 🙂

Max didn't start 16th in Brazil 2016.. he initially started 4th, but some wrong tyre choices by RB got him to the back of the grid

@@MasterSandman To be honest, also Lewis (unlike Nico) didn't make a mistake either in that race. Hamilton did screw up during the Hockenheim 2019 race, but Verstappen had trouble getting the car on the track in China. At no point during the 2016 race Verstappen came within 2 seconds of Hamilton except during the restarts. However Verstappen was driving circles around Nico. I think he passed Nico 3 times during that race and if there were 2 more laps in that race, we would even secured 2nd. I still think Brazil 2016 was his best race...

Which is even more impressive, because he didn't had the whole race for making up those places.

To everyone that says “it’s the car”; first, it has ALWAYS been the car in F1 history: second, if a driver can’t drive every time, all the time at 100% of the car’s potential, can’t “read” the situations on track and use them to his/her own advantage, doesn’t have the guts and aggressivity to “go in a gap that exists”, can’t be constant, this driver will not win championships. Races, yes, but not championships, no matters how good the car is. That’s true for Ascari, Fangio, Prost, Senna, Lauda, Schumacher, Vettel, Hamilton, Verstappen… and sorry for the champions l didn’t list here.

People don’t like this but Verstappen is becoming the greatest natural talent of all time even higher then Senna(Blasphemous I know) but seriously this kid does not make mistakes and has the natural born killer instinct required.

Berger has already said Max has surpassed Senna. If anyone can know, i'd say it's him, he raced in the same team as Senna for several seasons.

The entire world thinks he is great accept the British, and the British media. Kravitz, Crofty, Hill, Lazenby, Jordan. They all diminish Max where they can, bias a f. can't handle Max breaking records of their national hero. Or saying its Newey, whilst Wache is the team lead. Embarrassing.

The reason why max is so good is because he is extremely consistent. Always able to deliver the same lap times, saving the tires. Like many greats, max will only be fully appreciated once he doenst compete anymore or is gone.

Not true, but close, Max 30,53%, Lewis 30,56%. So if Max keeps going he will be the one with the best percentage. What he does have is the percentage races won from pole. Btw, Charles has got one of the worse stats with that 82,61%, Max 16,22% and Lewis 41,35 % poles without a win.

He is a record breaker. I don't think he will stop until he broke them all. He has got every thing to go for it. Age, the records he already broke and a bright future. He could settle all records in 2028. That's not that far away for him. He would be just 30 years old. Still enough in the tank for another 5 years, if he wants. It doesn't matter if he is better than Senna, or Schumi. He will be one of the F1 legends together with them who became GOAT. There is not one GOAT. Every era has one. But he will be remembered for another 50+ years as the legend and co-GOAT who broke all records available. And gave us the excitement we expect from F1. For me the excitement every race is the thought of: "is he gonna do it again... And again.... And again". No mistakes, no engine failures and no crashes... I love F1..... For decades now!

IMHO, that's to stop overzealous teams from recruiting younger and younger, not a knock against the drivers themselves.

To think the haters say he makes it boring, he makes racing in F1 for fans like me exciting, Max is literally trying to achieve the impossible and break records, not to mention if no slip ups happen in the 2025 season, he could be the first driver in Motorsport history to win every race in a single season, achieving 24 wins according to the 2025 calendar

Imagen RB had that Honda engine in 2016. Renault literally spoiled his career start.

If he had not lost the singapore GP, he would have had 18 consecutive wins last season 😮

In 2022 he could have gotten pole except that the car was out of fuel and had to abort with two purple sectors. (Rain Q)

It’s always a combo of driver,car and teamperformance! It’s a stupidity to compare a driver with another one! You only can compare with you’re teammate! With that saying, till today no one has achieve to proof who is the best, Max is just Max with a goat mentality! There are only a couple drivers who can get more out of the car than what the car is capable of, that’s talent without doubt!

That Otter will say it to the media again : F1 has become boring.

Put verstaapen in the williams he would not win anything he is only dominating because he has the fastes car at redbull.

Verstappen also took Kvyat's seat at RBR, his girlfriend and daughter in record time. Pretty impressive. Kvyat might disagree but that's just sour grapes.

Privacy mag wat mij betreft wel wat meer gerespecteerd en gewaardeerd worden in de huidige maatschappij, bij Verstappen, Piquet en Kvyat maar ook bij een ieder ander individu in Nederland en daarbuiten. Many of those F1 drivers also break a record when it comes to avoiding paying taxes and contribute to society (just like most modest earning people do). Paying taxes is a job do they leave to their fans.

So what rich folks do you love, music, acting, go on, tell us who you are specifically ignoring because of personal preference? And no, i don't care for all of them, i am a Max fan. I hate lulu for obvious reasons (which have nothing to do with the sport) and i don't care much for the others as they are mostly overhyped or not that good. @@speeddemon9555 Hamilton has never been that good a driver. Same as Perez he is horrible at overtaking and when he gets frustrated about being stuck behind another driver he has a habit of PIT-ting his opponent. Notably in the 2021 season he literally catapulted VES from the track twice. He received a penalty for the first time but still won that race. The second time he forgot to take into account where VES would land, which happened to be on top of him and he caused his own DNF. Norris might be better equipped to keep up with VES, but I don't think he is consistent enough to do that in every race. Other options for RB to have a better chance at maximizing the number of 1-2 finishes (and take the record away from Mercedes) would be Alonzo or Sainz.

RB did what Merc didn't dare do to BLM's golden boy and handed 17 year old VES the car which he instantly drove to victory in the GP of Spain that year. Yes VES was eager, he made errors in judgement (like when he attempted to block lapped Ocon making a stupid move which caused him to lose the race). HAM on the other hand was already a veteran at the height of their clash. He knew exactly what he was doing, after all he had been doing it to other drivers for years. I laughed my pants off when Alonso fulminated about HAM "that guy can only drive when he is in front", I'm guessing for you that truth was to hurtful.

good god , put any good driver in the RB car he will do the same ...the true hero is Adrian Newey ...max wasn't even trying and he was 1.5 seconds faster than the next best ..there has never been such a big gap ever! put Max in the Ferrari or the McClaren he wouldn't even win any race

Well he is a good driver but you cannot compare this boring era of formula 1 with the past. All drivers are driving on 99.5 percent of what the car is able to do. Cars are slower than in the past. We had tankpitstops and bigger engines.

In all the Seasons the last 30 years at least all the drivers drove in the same kind of car the engines changed etc. but per season the cars were more or less the same! So if you compare in percentages you can easily compare all the Seasons!
