Only andhbhkt can says but reality is different.. Kumar sanu dominant Only 3-4 years 1990 to 1993-94 . After 1993 Udit Narayan gave great challenge to sanu and after 1995 Udit Narayan overtake sanu.. Udit Narayan - the most original voice of Bollywood after the great Rafi Saab and Kishore da !!No doubt, Udit Narayan was no. 2 in comparison to Kumar Sanu during 1990 to 1995. But if you look closely at the discography and musical journey of singers in 90s - Kumar Sanu wave started to wane post 1995-96 and Udit Narayan took over. He, then went over to rule till 2005 with Sonu as No.2. Post 2005, Sonu took over. In totality, Kumar Sanu ruled for around 5-6 years and Udit Narayan for around 8 years. It’s laughable to read comments where someone said Sonu was at top from 2000-04. Udit has Filmfare Awards in all of his active decades - 80s for QSQT, 90s for DDLJ, Raja Hindustani and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and 2000s for Lagaan. Hence, he wasn’t a PHENOMENA of an era but was a FORCE across eras. That’s called CONSISTENCY !!

Suno Udit Narayan 1978 me Mumbai aye the aur 1980 se ga rhe h wo alg bat h Udit Narayan ko success aur stardom 1988 me quemat se Quemat tk se mila Mgr 1980 se ga rhe h aur pehla song Rafi Sahab k sath gaye the.. md aziz 1982 se ga rha h but ha aziz ko success jldi mil gya 1983-84 me ayi film mard se.. Mgr aziz khud ko time k according adjust nhi kr paya.
