    Find me a more diverse highlight reel than this. Dancing through entire teams, scoring while falling, the best backhand in hockey history, his edgework, pure power protecting the puck, use of his skates, his hand eye batting pucks in and consistently incredible redirects, the no look passes, his hockey iq, undressing players and goalies, stealing pucks, using the boards and the back of the net, the michigan goal, i can go on forever. Penguins and Crosby fans are so spoiled to have been able to watch him for his career. we are so fucking lucky. 🐐

    I was just saying, if u you watch McDavid highlights, its just him skating really fast and blowing by the defense, leading to a breakaway goal or pass. But McDavid really doesn't do much else. Crosby dominates the ice in many ways, other than just breakaway goals from being able to skate fast.

  • @michaelshields6326

    @michaelshields6326

    @@alphamale3643That might have been the case earlier in his career, but it's not true anymore. McDavid has diversified his game much the same way Crosby did. He's developed a lethal wrist shot, he has mastered the banks shot/goal line angle shots, has great timing picking up loose pucks around the net, and he even has started developing a down low/ behind the net game. You don't score 60g/150 points being a one dimensional player.

Had this man not been put thru this much suffering and setbacks....he would now be on equal footing with Wayne. ...and Wayne never got the abominable treatment Sidney got. Nobody dared touch 99. But by the time 87 came along, the Game had changed and gotten real rough. Much more Violent and much Faster. But Sidney is no Loser. He's a Genius on skates. And the BEST team player EVER. The most complete player of all time. Not the best scorer (ovi) , not the best skater (mcdavid), not the best stickhandler (kane), not the best defensive forward (bergeron) and the list goes on for many categories. He is second best in all of the above. However, being the complete package of scorer, playmaker, defensive and offensive awareness, skater, speed and strength, being able to turn up a game... He is the absolute best in being a complete package, with nobody even close. Second best in this category has to be Forsberg. And yes, i am even considering gretsky and lemieux in this.

    #1 - favorite memory of this was the aftermath. The first game after the Olympics was Buffalo @ Pittsburgh. I was listening to the radio broadcast and the PA announcer said, “The Pittsburgh Penguins wish to honor all of the Olympians participating in tonight’s game.” Then they read off a list of players that competed in the 2010 Vancouver games. Ryan Miller was announced second-to-last and the Pittsburgh crowd went absolutely nuts for him. Before Sid was announced, they played the highlight of the golden goal, and I thought, “I wonder if they’re gonna boo this?” They did. The crowd BOOED Sidney Crosby in Pittsburgh! It was a truly hilarious though good-natured moment.

You can't say he was passing the puck without looking between his legs and got lucky that many times to find an open teammate to create a scoring opportunity. The hate for this guy was serious and I get it. Shit, imagine him playing for Washington with ovi. Or the red wings? I would hate him too. I am sad he seems to have lost a little over the last few years. But he also doesn't have the same people he had back then as fellow pens.

Gretzky - IQ, Jagr's - Puck Protection, Lemieux - Ability to beat defenders, Datsyuk - Creativity, Bergerons - 200 Foot Game, Thornton - Passing, Pavelskis - Hand Eye Coordination, His own backhand. You put all those skills into one person and it's Crosby. Top three ever to play IMO.

    Highlight #84 is completely nuts. He deliberately tried to bank it in off Lundqvist’s back… and it worked!

    You'll NEVER see an Ovechkin top 100 plays video with just as many sick passes as there are goals that make up the 100 plays! Ovi is good...But Crosby is the best all around 200 foot player in the league.

    Yeah, sure. Wonder why Ovechkin are in 3rd place while Crosby are in 39th place. Only ones that still leads are Wayne Gretzky and then comes Gordie Howe when it comes to NHL records. I am still a Penguin-fan, but there are players that are better then Crosby. Sorry to say.

    Disagree if crosby played in that era he would have scored just as much as gretzky and lemieux. Faster game today and the goaltending back then cant compare to today.

    @@earlviney5212 You mean guys like Patrick Roy, Dominik Hasek, Ron Hextall, Bobby Smith, Grant Fuhr? You're also forgetting how physical hockey was back then, Lemieux had no help on that end either and look at the toll it took on him, the game may have more balance today, but it was UFC/MMA compared to today
