At 3.54 we see a pic of The Hootenanny Singers which was pre-Abba. For crying out loud you'd think that with the quite literally 1000's of Abba pics out there he's be able to pick one.

I have a problem with some of these artists that just came out 10-15 years,or less being that high on this best sellers list...with the passing of the days of LP's ( record albums,tapes, even CD's) how do they figure sales? Keep in mind that newer artists have more ways than ever for people to access their music,and to a lesser extent,a bigger overall population in the U.S./ World than 40-years or more ago...🤔

This should be called a sampling of the best selling artists of all time. There are lots more artists who would slot into any of those figures given. These are cherry picked artists.

Because they include streams (not actual sales in my opinion as a stream is generally on subscription platform ) Stack the majority of these artists up purely in physical sales and you wouldn't see many of them on the list.

No its not Johnny Halladay is on that list he was Frances biggest music star , he never broke the US nor the Uk his sales were primarily in France Switzerland and Germany @RJS1974

yeah nah the list is bogus this thing called inflation will always make the next big thing the best selling artist and that's not taking into account increased population and the growth of higher median incomes throughout the world the list has nothing to do with talent just money not worth

@@MattLeslie-mo7mr Brother I'm with you on this. I was lucky enough to have two independent record stores within a short drive of the house. What a joy was it was. I'd go to pick up an album/CD/cassette, singular, and wind up spending an entire afternoon and $ 50-70, or more. Damn I miss those days.

Well like most lists they have no clue. How can Metalica be at 500 million on net worth, but a third of that in sales. Paul McCartney allon is worth over a billion. I think some asshole just makes this stuff up.
