    That 1st Dewalt 771 w/2 batt's, I've had mine for 10+ years, both 1.3 amp batt's still work great.

The Skil Pwrcore 12 line is quite good. I have several of them and have had zero issues. And, the batteries have USB ports on them, so you can charge your phone directly from the batteries. That's a great feature all the manufacturers should consider.

That B&D drill is 650 rpm as B&D states. My first cordless drill was that one with the matching impact driver. Honestly not the worst, but definitely a significant step down from the Ryobi brushed set I once had, and the Makita set I currently have

Great video, but to be honest I wouldn't recommend anyone to invest in a Black & Decker drill in 2023. There are so many options out there that are superior to Black & Decker that are at a low price point. I know that the purpose of this video was to review Amazon drills, but if people are looking to save money and get a tool that works for them, I wouldn't suggest Amazon at all. They could get a much better deal buying a Warrior at Harbor Freight or checking out Walmart, Lowes or Home Depot for Hart, Skil, Craftsman, Ryobi or Ridgid. I really liked your comparisons in this video, I hope this video can help someone who doesn't know much about power tools, make a good choice for a light duty DIY drill driver.

I agree with you about Black & Decker now days, mainly because they are so hard to find in stores if you need an extra battery, etc. I have has the B&D Matrix system for years, that is the system where you have one body but can change the heads out from a drill, to a trim saw to a multi-tool and more. It is insane how many home projects, some large I have done with that system. It came with two 2 amp batteries and after years they still charge, but didn’t hold that charge very long. I have now switched to DeWalt and am building that system as I need. But, I have to say until I get all those DeWalt tools I still grab the B&D and those attachments when I need them. You can still get that system, I think it comes with 5 tools, batteries, etc. but the problem is it is difficult to find the extra accessories any more. They use to sell the whole system at Lowe’s and some ACE stores, but now it is pretty much on Amazon.

I would tell anyone, spend a few bucks more and get a tool system you can build on - Even if you think you may not need anything else, trust me…you will! Also forget any system that has a built-in battery with a USB charge cable. Why? Because once that battery stops charging you now have a useless tool you have to throw away! That is why I would never buy another “Dustbuster” vacuum! (I got the DeWalt 20v portable vacuum that works with my DeWalt batteries!)

Higher speed does not mean better. There is a good balance to be had here depending on application. Also, 18V and 20V is actually the same - just a name difference.

How many people honestly buy different platform tools? I've got ryobi because of price and convenience, of course I'd like Flex or Milwaukee. My plan is to sell the ryobi I have when I update.

Most of the tools listed are junk. Most just light light drilling around the house

Sometimes that's all people need. Not necessary to buy industrial quality tools for $$$$$ when you're only going to use it a few times a year.
