but at the time that he did it, Vegeta was a bad guy, he was barely defeated and he sought to destroy earth, so while it turned out to be the right thing, he had no way to know that Vegeta was deep down good, so yes at the time, it was a bad thing to let him live, he didnt do the same for his own brother.

At the time it was a retarded decision on Goku's part, I remember this because I actually watch the series in order and remember feeling that it was dumb considering Vegeta was so strong and evil and could come back for revenge to kill all of them, keep in mind this is well before Vegeta eventually became their ally and joined them so yes while it may have been good in the long run at the time Goku did it there was no way for him to know Vegeta would eventually become a good guy given how him and Nappa tried to kill them and Vegeta promised to come back and destroy the rest of them once he recovered.

Actually, in the original version(japanese) Goku actually reads elder Kai's character and offers him to touch bulmas boobs and butt not a kiss lol, and I'm pretty sure at this point Goku knows what kissing is and has kissed chichi before since they had sex atleast twice and there is no way she wouldn't have kissed him. Don't know why super keeps making him act mentally retarded maybe they think it's funny....

Letting Vegeta live was the dumbest thing he could have done. It doesn't matter that it turned out okay later. Vegeta has one of the highest body counts in the whole universe. By the time he showed up on Earth he had already committed the genocide of dozens of species, destroying world after world for Frieza, and just because he was bored. The only people we know of that have larger body counts are literal gods. When Goku told Krillin to not kill Vegeta, he admitted that Vegeta would probably come back and wipe out the rest of humanity. He agrees that Vegeta will not change and will keep hurting people. Goku knows how strong he is, how much damage he can do, and that as long as he is alive nobody on Earth is safe. The entire reason Goku wants him to live is for the chance to fight him again some day. Vegeta makes his intentions clear that he'll be back and nothing will save them next time. Letting him live was egocentric and just plain selfish. It was wrong for many, many reasons.

How would that work, if it's uninhabitable he can teleport there. He can only teleport to a person not a place.

Number 4, The part why he teleports to King Kai Planet, Goku can only teleport to one location if he senses someone's energy, he can't teleport to the place, he has to find someone's energy to do so first. Telling Goku to leave Cell in space, Goku can't track a person in the vacuums of Space, he has to lock on to someone's Energy first. Can't go to Namek, they just got their home back and Goku wasn't going to kill off the Namekians. It wasn't Goku's Fault he failed to wish King Kai back, he had 18, Roshi, Oolong, Goten, Trunks, Bulma, and Beerus in his way. If Goku had the Kai Kai teleport move, he would of teleport Cell into space and leave him there, Kai kai teleport can allow Goku to go anywhere without locking on, but there is one problem, only Supreme Kais can learn it. I don't get why think this part made Goku a bad character, you don't understand how his Instant transmission works

To be fair the instant transmission only works by locking into a ki signature. Anywhere Goku could have gone would have had someone he was familiar with, King Kai was honestly the best choice. An isolated planet, with only three inhabitants, one being a god he probably didn't knew could die. Those three for billions doesn't seem so bad for me. Specially since the other option was Namek and the nameks were already a dwindling population.

Secondly, that part in super where goku doesn’t know what kissing is, it’s just filler. He’s kissed chi chi countless times on screen in dbz. Thirdly, letting vegeta live was the best decision he ever made because if he didn’t trunks would have never been born and not have returned from the future to give him the antidote to the heart virus among other things. Lastly, goku spent his childhood only knowing grandpa gohan, so when he died he stayed in the forest not knowing the moral standards of society. Obviously he would know it was rude to pat someone’s crotch. Next time I suggest you guys do your research

Letting Frieza go 100% was not bad after all, beause if Goku kill't him he would nerver get the Intertrans mission. It was better if he go to earth after he learn it? And Goku did kiss chici in dragon ball z what mots fans forgot. After goku did wake up from the heart virus and told chici and master rosi that he go to the Hyperbolic time chamber wicht gohan, he did kiss chici very short. Goku do forgot things in super. Letting Vegeta live was a bad thing in that moment, because Goku was gambling with all life on Earth. Vegeta COULD HAVE come back and wrecked house again, killing many in the process. Goku didn't even seem to consider that option. His choice could have been catastrophic. Luckily for them, it turned out to be a good decision.

cell wasn't even using his full strength against goku, if he fought gohan in a fatigued state like that then theres no doubt cell would immediately kill gohan as fast as possible which means NO ssj2 gohan whic means CELL wins and kills everyone. the end.

The whole thing of geting King Kai killed by taking Cell there could not be helped. Instant teleportation requires him to lock onto someones ki and then move there... so even if the depths of space could have been a way better choice he could not doit since he had not a reference point.

Xeno gave a chance for one of them to be saved BECAUSE Goku reminded him about the tournament of power. It should be on the list of his greatest accomplishments since it saved all those universes in the end.

Some people compare him with Superman and assume that Dragonball fans like Goku for the same reason they like Superman i-e Justice, Fighting local crime etc. Goku is a superpowerful man, but he also fights with excellent martial arts skills and all his enemies are great fighters like him. Goku fights are all about pure action and extreme badass power.

I don't think number 8 is true. The original sub said that goku never seen somebody giving senzu bean mouth by mouth, not kissing. Vegeta said 'you never done that?' which goku promptly thought giving senzu bean by mouth. Goku once kissed chichi in the lips back then in dbz in kame house

I does annoy me sometimes when the english dub adds loads of goofy stuff in there! 😂 or says way more than it says in the subbed version. its an implied anime only thing in dbz.(you can't blame toei for thinking Goku must have kissed his wife lol) The eng dub actually made it sound like they were kissing but there's no noise in the Japanese version. Super was written by Toriyama, goku doesn't kiss chi chi. It's hard for people to understand this but toriyama is a gag manga author, meaning he finds the stupidest things funny, like goku having 2 children without actually kissing his wife. If it makes toriyama smile, the joke is getting in the script no matter how stupid it is. Toriyama wants Goku to be dumb as a brick like a country hick and a selfish warrior.

Did you not see when he met goten he showed mad affection for the kid he just met not even 24 hours ago. He recovered from his heart condition him and chi chi had that touching moment. When he broke the rules to save gohan from getting killed. after the buu saga he spent time with goten and pan until he left. In a flash back he told his family that he misses all the fighting but spending time with them was more important. If you can't realize that goku loves his friends and family more than anything then you obliviously don't know goku. until the moment vegeta blew himself up that was the first and only thing vegeta has hold or even hugged his kid. DBZ is a fighting tv show which is surround by people fight and getting killed do not judge their action by what we think is the right action.

Goku giving Cell a Senzu, I understand Goku is a Good Sportsman and like to make things fair, but I'll admit it was a dumb move. I think He might have done it because he believes in his son can still beat Cell once Gohan goes SS2 and unleashed his rage. There are some versions of DBZ that cut that where Goku doesn't give him a Senzu, I saw that version first when I was a kid.

I agree. I think if Gohan defeated Cell without Goku giving Cell the senzu bean, everyone would have said: “Yeah he beat Cell, but it was only because Goku tired him out for Gohan.” Goku wanted to show everyone that Gohan was truly unique and possessed a power that was far out of Cell’s league. Cell ended up powering up to his maximum in peak physical shape and uninjured. Gohan then proceeded to throw two blows at Cell and caused Cell to start vomiting and shaking from the intensity of Gohan’s wrath. Looking back at it now, Cell needed a lot more senzu beans and I’m actually surprised that Goku only gave him one, lol

No, if Goku didn't let Vegeta live, Gohan and Krillin would have died on Planet Namek. Also Goku didn't let Frieza go after he defeated him, as soon as Goku turned away, Frieza attacked him and then Goku attacked back, regretting he ever helped him. Also Trunks killed Frieza. Golden Frieza would have still happened.

When goku left to train oob I was so pissed. That was by far his worst decision ever

Seriously even here ? Seriously Mojo you guys should get fact checks done by fans of the show. Goku can only transport to places where someone has a strong enough life force. Meaning space or an asteroid are out as even if they had life it wouldn't be strong enough for Goku to sense. King Kai's was the most logical as it would have the fewest casualties. And he didn't leave right after Kid Buu was defeated. He waited 10 years.

I swear they don’t do any research at all. Goku saved the multiverse, also when doing instant transmission... HE NEEDS TO HAVE SOMETHING TO FREAKING LOCK ONTO. He can’t just go to an uninhabited planet with no energy. I thought they were “experts?”

I don’t think people are getting the point of number 2 on this list. The reason why number two is so bad isn’t because he put multiple universes in danger, it’s because despite being told multiple times that asking Zeno to hold the tournament of power would be dangerous Goku did it anyway because of his selfish wish to become stronger. Goku may have indirectly given the other Universes a fighting chance to survive and in the end have them all wished back but he didn’t know any of this at the time, he just wanted to become stronger and he didn’t give a shit about the consequences of his actions which is why number 2 is so bad.

Eric Panama I didn’t even take number 9 as a serious criticism cause for one that movie isn’t even cannon, and two Goku was just a baby when it happened. On the other hand all the others on this list are serious and justified criticisms against Goku.

Goku’s selfish actions has saved the Earth, universe and multiverse without even trying. It’s like reverse collateral damage

When it comes to battle, Goku’s undoing in battle was having a fight on an even plain field (in power level), while Vegeta’s is his own pride.

I don't understand the "kiss thing". When Goku fell ill, he went to sleep for hours because of the medication. When he woke up and Chi chi came in the room, he kisses her before going to Kami's. We can't see them but we know that they kissed.
